Try to start your camera when you have lesser than 15% of charge. You'll see the message and camera will be closed. This mod removes this limitation

Greetings all
this past weekend i found myself in a situation where i needed to take some pictures, my phone had been on all day so my battery was getting low. i was able to snap a few images till i got a Low Battery warning on the screen and the camera just went off.. looking at the gauge i still had about 10 -15% battery life. The phone actually ended up working fine for another hour or so before i got the critical batt warning., but every time i tried to reopen the camera app all i got was the warning and the camera would not work.. It was daylight so i didn't use the flash.
Is there a work around to get rid of that annoying warning for the camera? i missed a first moment, i would like to avoid that in the future.. thanks in advance

No problem. That post is a little hard to find, especially from the mobile app.

From the posts I read it doesn't work for any of the GB roms so unles you're still on froyo/EE4 roms it won't work.
I hope they get this working on GB. I hate not being able to use my camera once you get to 15%. Lost a lot of photo ops at a concert last night because of it.

Seconded, does anyone know of a working GB camera apk with the power button shutter and removed low batt warn features?

Doesn't exist unfortunately.
I miss the hell out of using the power button shutter feature but I don't think I want to go back to EE4 just to regain that feature.

Chill mate! Just let the battery drain then charge to full. The problem should be gone after 3 cycles

looks like ur battery got corrupted..
but bfr rplacing batt , b sure of it..
Wait for a few battery cycles after draining the battery, don't interrupt the charging, when the phone says fully charged turn it off but keep in charging. A battery icon will appear and when the battery icon has 100% written on it, then the battery is actually full.
Also try using the non-overclocked version of kyrillos' ROM. It may solve some of the battery drain problems since the CPU is not working at insane speeds (insane for our phones anyway ).
how to boost the battery level? please give me a kernel or something else........thanks
Have you tried Battery Doctor from the Play Store?

And it did save a lot of battery for me

yes a agree with you. but if i want save battery meaning must the screen is off! if the screen isn't off the battery level down immediately. no one app boost the level! you must close all apps and do not nothing!
looks like your battery is bad, there's no other way to boost battery level when other than that. But some people says kernel can boost it, but i don't believe it anyway

Hey guys,
Am new to the Honor 8, when i bought the device on 17-07-2017, it was running MM but the same day received update to Nougat.
The phone is just awesome in terms of performance and camera, but, yeah, but, the battery. I battery is draining pretty fast overnight even when I have kept the mobile data, WIFI and GPS off.
So if you guys can suggest me some tips to save the drain that would be great.
I also saw a mode under the battery settings which stated as Low resolution power saving, which should reduce the screen resolution to save power.
But I didnt notice any difference visually , also to be sure I checked the resolution using CPU-Z which confirmed that it is 1080 x 1920
Is it a bug? or am I missing something?
Sorry if there is an existing thread for the same.
Try this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/guide-battery-life-nougat-t3623980
Just be sure you don't use power saving modr, it's totally useless
Always backup and factory reset the device first. That usually fixes most software issues with this device, including battery drain.
As for the screen resolution, the app only reads the native resolution of the screen, not the software based down sampling.
And yes, power saving mode does work, but it does so by turning off auto sync. Not my preference but it does work. If yours isn't working, see my first sentence.

So it is suggested that I backup and factory reset every time I update the device?

Only if any problems arise. If you updated and everything is normal, no need to reset.

From my experience, power saving mode is still quite snappy. The only downside for me is the screen goes off really fast.

Is b340 indian version?
In fact after I received the B340 OTA update, my overnight power drain problem disappeared almost completely, where I used to see a 10/12% drain overnight (between mid-night and 8 AM with phone in airplane mode for that duration) now I see a drain between 1 to 2% only.
