Hi, I was hoping someone could answer this question really fast, it would help me out a lot!
After a phone is flashed to cricket (I have an evo 4g here flashed to cricket), will you be able to flash a different rom onto that phone without losing your flash to cricket?
Thanks!
Yes, root, install custom recovery, perform nandroid backup. One ROM at a time, but you can always revert back if need be. Do lots of reading first!
If you do brick your device, just take it back into Cricket, they'll re-flash you I'm sure.
BE CAREFUL
So I had my phone rooted and everything was fine. And when I tried to flash another Rom onto it my phone got bricked. I fixed it back to stock. I rooted my phone again but I can't seem to get the custom recovery back on it from the "All In One Recovery" thread. But my question is when I use Clockworkmod my phone kind of bricks when I try to recover an old backup I made with the custom recovery. I don't know why it does that, and also when I pick a recovery to flash with clockworkmod which one do i pick? I'm sorry for all the typing but any help would be so appreciated.
////DID U FACTORY RESET,WIPE DALVIK CACHE, AND THEN WIPE BATTERY STATS THEN TRY RESTORING??????If NOT TRY IT....IF it has happend twice or more with the bricking, Your backup files are most likely damaged.. 1st thing I would try is fixing permissions with cwm maybe their not damaged, it could be permmisions got screwd up....."personally if u can still go custom I would just find a good rom to serve my needs, BUT!! IF U CANT EVEN GO CUSTOM, YOU WOULD HAVE TO USE LG'S SOFTWARE KDZ FIRMWARE TOOL ......IF UR LUCKY YOU CAN GET THE KDZ STRAIGHT FROM LG'S SERVERS IF NOT "ITS TIME TO GO HUNTING....BACK TO WICH FLASH RECOVERY TO CHOOSE ON CWR TRY THE 2 OPTIONS THAT HAVE MULTIPLE PHONES AND OTHERS IF THAT DONT FLASH THEN TRY THE ones closest ,if not try new alltouch or older flashes....................

First use a GB rom and install and you sould have the phone live again.
Then try to found a Stock rom GB flashable and with recovery install rom .
To update to ICS its easy to use the LG tools and let them work for you..:victory:
can I get TWRP custom recovery on Sprint LG G2 ZVD, no computer ? I read one about doing it while on ZVC or ZVA .
There's some apps like Autorec to flash twrp but which one do I use ? some of them say it needs to flash zv7 boot img on one .
There are two different zip files for LG G2 for twrp. Which onenis the right one ? They both have two different dates.
I don't want to brick my phone or mess it up.
Can anyone tell me what works on this ?
The only one that worked for me on my VS980 (Verizon LG G2) was AutoRec after rooting with Towelroot.
Once you have any recovery up and running you can flash the latest twrp zip with it.
Hope this helps!

All it took was AutoRec app for me, as I said, after installing whichever recovery that comes with AutoRec you can go into recovery if you want and flash a new/different recovery (CWM/TWRP), but it is not needed.
Also, if you feel like changing ROMs afterwards, I suggest you try CloudyG3 1.3, it is a pretty stable port of the G3 interface with yet better battery life

G3 ? I have lg g2. Would I be able to get it ? Could I have two or more rom's that I can switch between on the same phone without removing one ?

CouldyG3 is a port of G3 interface for the G2, that is, it is meant to be used on the G2, but makes its interface look like the G3 and brings some extra features (which you can check here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783192)
While there are dual boot options for having different ROMs at the same time, I've never used it. I usually do a full backup with recovery, so I have the stock OS in case i want to go back or the flashing doesn't work, and then I just flash the new ROM, if it works and I like it, I just keep it, knowing i have a complete backup saved on my phone in case anything goes wrong.
(The full backup I'm refering to is done through the custom recovery you will install, either CWM and TWRP have this functionality, I't backs up EVERYTHING, and thus takes considerable space, but is still worth it.)
When I open Autorec at top it says Kitkat recovery installer. Continue, yes or no.
When I click yes do I get to look at what it will do first or will it automatically start ?
I don't want to mess something up. How do I know which recovery it will install ?
Have you ever had the white lines problem ?
