I just deleted some important files from the system folder resulting the phone doesn't start.
Can anybody help.

More good information about which apps can (should/shouldn't) be removed and how to change permissions if you need to put something back on your phone). - LINK

I've heard about this tool but I've never used it. Seems a bit complicated in that you have to flash stuff before flashing rom, and after. Also once you run the program everything is gone completely. I like having control using root explorer to either move or delete the files that way if something does go wrong I just add it back onto my phone and change the permissions. Maybe it's just a lack of knowledge.

Hi,
It's a lot easier than it seems, and speeds the installation process up.
Perhaps , it's not for everyone, but the [OP] stated removing bloatware ,which it does in seconds.
It takes a while to configure the initial user text file, but once you have done it, you don't ever have to do it again.
And you only have to run it once after flashing the ROM.
It takes 30 seconds to run.
How do I know which particular bloatwares to remove? I'm new to android. Less than a week old.

Hi,
Have a look at what is included in a basic ROM,by looking at THIS USER TEXT FILE.
You will also see guide alongside it showing what each one does.
Make sure you have notepad++(google it).
I have tried all I can but still can do the bloatware removal. I have rooted, enabled SU and I have installed root explorer but I don't know what to do now. The root explorer gives make access to the ROM but I don't know what to remove and how to remove it.

Root explore goto system/app then remove what you want.be careful though don't remove anything bad
Nexus S 4G using miui.us with matr1x kernal 9.0 and batttweak RC1
I have a Motorola Photon and I want to keep the diagnostic app for Sprint and the voicemail app, and I want to get rid of the camcorder beep sound everytime I start and close the program. Any input would be appreciated, thank you.

deleted system

I accidentally in my samsung galaxy gt-i9070 with root idiot browser because system folder deleted. Can it start no longer is but also clearly because Yes the system is away. So far I need I now a rom if I lie correctly on each if I need help so I the handy again in gang wars thank you times in advance.
First of all, I sympathize with your sufferings which tell us NEVER accidentally delete anything using root explorer. Secondly, I think you should search for a ROM yourself in this big forum cuz only you are fully acquainted with what your phone needs. If you can neither find a ROM nor find a person to give you a ROM, you'd better go to ask those who sold you the phone for help and it won't take you too much time or money, considering it isn't a hardware damage at all. Thanks.

So I understand correctly I need a rom? If yes you can because link post währe very great of dier thousand thanks.
help me
could someone please help me because I would hate that it ends up in the garbage, and I buy a new. Please please help me!
check this post it will help you to install firmware http://www.teamandroid.com/2012/06/...-to-android-2-3-6-xxle2-gingerbread-firmware/
So you where rooted... Than in your download folder you'll still find some rooted things, so your warenty is void. You SHOULDN'T go to the ones who sold you the phone cause they'll find out! I suggest you find the stock rom and root after you reinstalled it. Can you flash your phone correctly?

Rooting!!!!

Hello,
I want to know the actual process that occurs while rooting ur phone!! Can any one plz answer??
Sent from my LG-P350 using xda app-developers app
I will answer this out of pity. First off, do not post questions in the general forum. Thats why theres a q and a forum. Also, for questions like these SEARCH. Its lazy, because anyone could find out the answer.
Rooting is when you alter your status to superuser, allowing you to alter files in usually non alterable in normal phones. Such as deleting system apps, pushing apps to system, altering the file ( ini or something i forgot its actual name) in system to make it different, like dpi. Also, a custom recovery, themes, and roms could be installed. Basically, you can alter everything unlike a normal phone.

Rom development.

Hi guys, great forum btw.
I have an ainol novo8 discover, (a supposed quadcore ipad mini alternative)
I really need a new rom for this device as the stock firmware is terrible. However search as I mite I can find nothing.
The device is rooted and using es file explorer I tried to remove the bloatwarw, to no avail, uninstall unsuccessful is what im greeted by.
My first question is how do I uninstall these apps? I have dissabled them through settings-apps but I want them gone completely.
My second question is where do I start when working on a new rom for a device? Please note that ainol have yet to release the source code for the ainol discover.
Anyway guys thank you all for your time and patience, and please be aware im a newbie to all this so please do try to simplify your answers.

You have to give some time for people to reply lol, check out Rom Toolbox, you can uninstall everything is you want.
in the upper right is a box "Type to find your device" put your device in there and it will take you to your phone, from there you can access the info you are looking for.
Fair point, sorry.
Just very frustrating device.
Ainol havent released there firmware yet anyway so I guess theres no way of creating a rom without it.
Thankyou btw for mentioning rom toolbox, with that es file manager and a factory data reset I managed to get rid of all of the bloatware (that I know of ) off the device.

So I've been trying to make my phone permissive so that way I can install a new ROM. However whenever I try to do this I get this message:

Hi,
I am pretty sure you need to be running as lot to change SELinux in this manner which I'm guessing is what you're trying to get in the first place.
Chances are you need to run a different exploit on your device to obtain root
Looks like a Samsung device judging by the font, but would need to know more info to point you in the proper direction such as make, model, android version, carrier etc
EDIT:
Just saw your signature and it appears you have a version branded S4, depending on the version this guide should help you out

Let me know if you have further questions
You are correct however. I am actually already rooted and I don't understand why it's giving me a hard time. I have been on this device. I have to do this again was because I loaded a stock rom so that way I could get it fixed. When I got it back is when I had this issue. What I am trying to do is install safestrap.
