[Q] Is there a root for latest firmware V10d - LG Optimus 3D

My phone came with V10d firmware, how do I root it?
Do I install an older firmware and root then upgrade to latest, or will it kill the phone if I update the firmware to V10d?
Really liked the bootloader of Samsung gs2, you just can't kill it.
Thanks

use superoneclick for root

I read here somewhere not to use superoneclick on v10d firmware as rooting this firmware will make it go in to logo screen loop.
Wanted to be sure.

i root it with superoneclick and i dont have any problem ...

Thanks, worked.
Better be sure than sorry.
How do you mount the file system with RW rights?

I use root explorer then mount with RW.

You can use Revolutionary to re-install ClockworkMod Recovery, then flash the Superuser zip file in the recovery.

[Q] Problems going back to Jellybean firmware with root.

I need to go in the opposite direction many guides explaining how to downgrade the firmware to attain root. Got my tablet back from RMA with Jb .16 on it and downgraded, rooted, installed rootkeeper, flash, etc with no problems. Now I can't get back to JB. Everything I'm trying is erasing the root. I'm using stock firmware and still locked device. Should I be waiting for the device to get OTA updates back to JB? Every time I check it says no update. Are there simplified versions of the upgrade firmware that won'tt do clean installs and erase everything?
This is basically what I've been doing
-downgrade to firmware and use debugfsroot with no problems
-install rootkeeper, do a back up of root
-transfer any version of stock JB to the memory card (I've tried it with renaming the file or leaving it and letting the OS detect the upgrade)
-go back into rootkeep or SU and root is gone
There a step I'm missing? I've been at this for 5hrs now and have no problem feeling sheepish if there is a setting somewhere I need to check on.

I suspected you do a full firmware upgrade which will wipe out your root (the one you download from Asus site is full firmware version), doesn't matter if you have OTA root keeper. You need to follow the incremental upgrade using dlpkgfile method can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1803090
Wow that was fast. Thank you. I think I've hit my point for the night in trying to get it to work. I've booked marked the page and will give this a shot tomorrow.

[Q] Unroot help

Hi
I rooted my note 10.1 quite a while ago (~6 months)
The method I used I believe was to flash something using odin (cf autoroot? )
Anyway I just wanted root to be able to use sixaxis but was happy with stock rom. Now it has been a while I would like to update my rom and by going into su and temporarily disabling root I can download the ota update from samsung but it refuses to install.
Does anyone know a way to just remove root so I can install the ota update and not have to do a full wipe.
I could download the rom from samsungfirmware and then install with odin but would that not require a wipe?
Thanks
