I have a crack running along the camera glass, nothing major, but as you can tell it produces crazy lense flares. The normal photograph is with my back cover off.
Pro or Con? You decide.

Cracked:
Honestly, flares are pretty cool sometimes but its going to be alot more noticeable in situations with lots of lights. Then it would be annoying.
I do have one thing to say though, you need to be more steady with your pictures. Both are SUPER blurry. My G2x takes perfectly crisp pics if you hold steady (as with any camera)
Ummmm.... get a new cover..? Lol
The camera does have image stabilizer which I always have on...
"a phone to make you numb, a phone to make you dumb, a phone to make you anybody else...
All the roms in this world... wont save you from yourself"
Actually I haven't been noticing it alot when it's bright. And im using vignette i dont thing it has a stabilizer. Sorry the pictures are blurry i think it's cause it was dark. I try to hold it as steady as possible haha. And it's not worth a new back, doesn't affect the picture quality.
Actually if your phone is still under a year old LG will probably give you a new one. Just tell them the tab broke off whilebtrying to take it off or something. Worth a shot, can't hurt to try. I think another member here said lg gave them a one time replacement as a one time courtesy. Give it a shot! Gl!

Thanks, but i got mine off ebay they won't do that would they? And it's not really worth the trouble anyways.
My glass cracked there also. Ordered a replacement. Then ordered the 3500 mah battery that comes with a new cover. The cover doesn't have glass over the camera. It takes better pictures without the glass over the camera lens.
< Was cleaning my replacement stock battery cover yesterday and the damn glass falls off the cover. Wasn't glued on. Sh!t just fell off! Muckin LG! >

Guys,
This is really bothering me. It's something very minimal but I like nothing but a perfect screen.
These are not scratches. They seem to be abrasions, a chemical reaction or something under the screen.
I want to return the phone for this defect (its been one weekend).
Should I exchange or just get a full refund, let me hear your feedback.
Thanks
I can't post pictures to show you guys...(xda doesnt let me)

Without pictures its a little difficult to diagnose the problem so I would suggest you either upload the pictures to tinypic.com and post the links here as text and not links or pm them to someone (like myself) who can post them for you.
That said, this sounds like an issue I was reading about a few days ago and from my memory wiping the screen with a paper towel helped. I can't remember whether it was supposed to be wet or dry but I would try wet first.
Here are the pictures for others benefit:

As I said, try wiping it down with a wet paper towel.
I had that too. Didn't seem to come off. When I received my clairevue screen protector it came with a special wipe, that magically removed the defect. I couldn't believe it.

One idea I had was that this may have been caused by the oils in my hands
I think it may be the oleophobic coating wearing off... perhaps it rubbed quite hard against something to create that pattern. Cleaning it (with an alcoholic wipe) or something will make the screen look perfect, once you get oil on the screen the pattern will come back... exchange it.
They really half-assed the oleophobic coating on this phone... screen protector is a must, which defeats the purpose of having the coating in the first place.
Is the coating that thin? I believe that you are right. It does suck because I have oily hands.
I will try and exchange it tomorrow. Maybe this is a bad apple.
Oh and dinan, the trouble with me is that I like a completely naked phone.
Me too, but I fear I have no choice with this one. My first phone I had exchanged due to some weird black banding on the screen, but it also had some "splotch" like areas where the coating had worn off, not sure how... since I don't touch those areas much and I never dropped it. The 2nd phone is perfect, but I fear it'll develop the same thing unless I protect it somehow.

Just wanted to let those who were interested in the replacement battery back that is silver and black from the seller "Cellapod" on ebay that NO, it does not fit the US Tmobile Sensation. I took some pictures comparing the two backs, and they look like this. I would link but I cant with my post count just yet.

Replacement:
As you can see, in the replacement the bottom left corner is missing, as if it were cut away completely. I tried it on the phone regardless, and almost got the case stuck on when I attempted to force it. I checked in the bag to see if it just broke off, and i checked the case to look for any mechanical stress signs of breakage, but no, it looks like its part of the design. So unfortunate, the silver and black back is just plain sexy. If anybody gets one that works, please tell me!
Makes me wonder though which model of Sensation it was made for, does the unbranded one have a different body?
\Your pictures do no display but I was contemplating buying one of these but I came to the conclusion they are not legit. The one I saw had the 'pin hole' next to the speaker missing, so I decided againsed it.
edit, this is the one I was refering to
http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/...&searchstring=sensation+back+&urlrefer=search
I'm surprised you ordered from a seller with 117 negatives in the last 12 months, 17 in the last month, although they seem to sell a lot of stuff and be a power seller...
Did you order the one in the attachement? It says it's an original HTC accessory, however I've not seen a silver and black back yet.
Will look forward to seeing the broken corner in your pics.
EDIT: Yes that is the item Im talking about, in the link and the attachment.
Thats exactly what had me pull the trigger, they were a huge seller, so I figured that that 17 negative vs 3266 positive seemed like a mere fraction...Too bad it didnt turn out that way =/
Im not sure if its just because its my Picasa account (though I tried it when I was logged out of it too) but in Chrome I can right click the broken picture links and choose "open image in new tab" and see them. Have you tried that yet? I cant post up links yet since I dont have enough posts.
Sorry I'm unable to see anything in your post that can be right clicked to view. I'm sure others would be interested to see the fault so keep posting!
I don't blame you for ordering from them either but eBay can be a right pain in the a*se at times. Are you returning it?

Hmm interesting. I can see that the bottom of the new one has broken off on (both?) sides. Contact the seller and ask for another one.
So I recieved my battery door I ordered from Cellapod today......
They sent me a factory back door instead of the Silver/Black one
I ordered Needless to say im fuming pissed right now .
Now comes the waiting game
My wife dropped hers recently and broke the glass. I found the glass and tools on ebay for like $30, and even found a youtube video that steps through everything you need to do. I just wanted to know if I'm taking on something I shouldn't.

well it depends if you are up for the task.
If you have no experience with tearing apart electronics, I would watch some videos first. Different ones, so you can really get a feel of what's going on. It's important to be very gentle, usually no force required.
Make sure you work on a static free surface (I.e. NOT carpet or your bed) and keep all screws in one place. I've seen teardown videos of our phone, it's not that bad.

thanks blue6ix! i'm up for it, i just wanted to see if anyone else had actually done it after seeing it the videos/pictures and were completely overwhelmed/ill-prepared.
As with any other phone, be VERY VERY careful with ribbon cables. I swear, those things will tear if you blow on them.

new screen has arrived. will let you know how the replacement goes.
Yeah, um, don't do this if you haven't done something like it before or aren't prepared. Phone is back together with new glass, but it's in NO WAY as solid as it used to be. I feel like I need to take it apart again and glue some things down - the adhesive provided was not enough.

Did you take any photos?
only one of it all apart on my desk at work. This video and these pics were spot on, but more emphasis should be put on the adhesive that hold the lcd panel to the metal backing - that was the worst and required the most time, and a hair dryer or heat gun isn't just recommended, it's necessary.
I'm using you as a guide. Mine is getting irritating with all the dust, so I'll invest on the glue strip first.
Also, during your shopping, did you by any chance run into any keyboard replacements? The wife's one is repeating a lotta letters and she's been repeating a lotta comments to me....
I have a white galaxy s iii. around the bottom of the phone is pinkish. Both of the water sensors are intact and don't see any discoloration. What could be causing the pink around the case of the phone. I do have a Red otterbox but I never dropped it in water. Any ideas what could cause this?

How is the back cover? Cuz that looks like the dye came off of the Otterbox but that wouldn't make sense if the cover is always on. I have a blue GSIII and the insides are black so I can't really suggest much as far as cleaning it.

Idk about that man, I haven't actually returned a phone to Verizon before so that's open to interpretation. I would imagine you would be fine but the dye on the insides could be attributed as the cause of whatever issues you have in the eyes of Verizon.

Then again, they'd probably seen tons of them like that and will brush it off...
I have a Nexus 5 that has run fantastic until just after the lollipop update. I began to think that somehow this update was responsible for several issues, one of them that the Qi charging had stopped working.
I read through all the threads on Qi charging.
Different chargers
Different USB cables
Different Wall Warts
People who had removed the cover, not getting it back on right.
Pressing to snap the cover contacts back into engagement.
None of it helped, that is until I decided the other night to push down on the whole phone while it was on the charger. I had to press pretty hard, but it would charge.
I noticed, that when I did this, it squeaked in the middle along the edge where the power button is, and there was a small gap between the case and body (not big enough for a finger nail to fit).
First I called Google today to see what they had to say. I got the "It's out of warranty. No idea what's wrong. Call LG".
So since it's not under warranty and they had no clue, I pulled the back cover. I expected a broken clip, bulged battery, something. I couldn't find anything that would press out on the case, and all the clips looked intact. (Pictures in a later post, don't have another phone / camera at the moment.)
I put it back together, made sure the clips were all lined up and snapped home properly. Same gap, same squeak when I squeeze the middle edge below the power button.
If I ONLY squeeze this portion together though, it doesn't seem to fix the Qi charging issue. I have to push down on the whole phone.
Looking for your input. I see Amazon has the back covers in stock. But I don't want to buy one just to find out that it's the battery. (I know, not much help without pictures. I'll get them posted tonight).
Thanks!
-Matt
If it is buldging it is probably the battery. I'd replace that.

I didn't think it was bulging, but I have two of these, and I can feel the thing through the cover on this one.
So... where's the best source for a new battery?

I had exact the same issues Like you ., and your battery looks to me extreme swelled ,and is for me definitive broken and you can expect much better battery live after replacing this one :victory::victory::highfive:
When my battery looked like your' s it had only about 1300 mah instead of 2200
So good luck :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
