Im planning on getting the sensation when it comes out and from the looks so far, the Sense UI that comes on the phone looks pretty good. Now after rooting 2 of my previous phones i plan on rooting my next. I was wondering will the sensation have stock with root. For example i used the z4root.apk on my vibrant and my phone had root on it but i still had the stock touchwiz UI. I then got to choose to load a custom rom on it. Will this be possible for the sensation?
No root for the sensation as of yet mate.

Hi I had to send my HTC inspire 4g back in for warranty purposes so I had to go back to stock to send it in.
I rooted it when I first got the phone and iT was on froyo and I have been looking through the forums but I see a lot of rooting formats for froyo. I don't want to try one of these and brick my phone so can anyone tell me how to root on 2.3 please?

Nah. If it's been flashed to MetroPCS the MEID/ESN will be registered with them and not Sprint. It'll need to be flashed back to Sprint, if this is even possible. Better off asking that question in the EVO Q&A section
It is possible to flash it back to sprint.

Do factory reset. It should help.
If I do factory reset it would get me.bak to the old version?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA
No, if you're on ICS, you'll only reset ICS.

Are you rooted and s off? If not I'm very sorry to say you can not go back. However if you are rooted yes you most certainly switch back to Gingerbread if you like. If your really hateing it you CAN root and revert back to Gingerbread after your successful in rooting. You might want to even try a Ics Rom. I've found them to be a lot more stable than stock Rom. I was having issues on stock and once I rooted and installed custom Rom the issue went away.however only do what your comfortable doing. I wish you the very best in what ever you're decisions.

The reason everything is force closing is because it needs a factory reset. My sisters SGSII did the same, i noticed when i reflashed the ota update for her it didnt wipe at all and all the apps force closed
