So I use to have CM7 on my G2X and I had taken pictures, I guess i didn't do a wipe or something but now i have a different rom and the pictures won't go away now in the gallery. There's a little camera icon on the bottom left of each picture and it won't let me delete the picture. I did a factory reset already and wipe data, still no luck. Any help?

The default gallery app is not displaying some of the photos taken with the camera. I can see the photos in the DCIM/Camera folder when I use a file manager app, but they don't show up in the gallery.
Problem appears randomly, but always dissappears on power off / on.
Anyone noticed this before? I do not know how yo recreate it.
Thanks,
Sankar

I've noticed this on/off with most android devices. Usually, to me it seems to be associated with having a large number of images in the gallery and it loading the images.
Yep, this is an issue had by others. Please star this report at Google: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=13419
delete content of /sdcard/dcim/.thumbnails and re-open gallery
Issue 13419: New pictures disappear in Gallery
Thanks guys, Issue 13419 covers this, and I've starred it
I've just experienced this myself. In addition, the pics stayed blurry when viewing pics individually as I scrolled through my gallery. Everything returned to normal after reboot. I've starred the issue also. Thanks.

I've made a video showing the bug happening:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OK8NO-97iOE
I take a photo, preview it without problem but when I load the Gallery app it doesn't appear. However, deleting an image seems to force the Gallery app to re-index the folder and the photos appear.
I'm hoping video proof of the bug may spur on a fix.
Happened to me earlier I just opened the camera app and then opened gallery from within camera... pics showed up in gallery afterwards

After moving some images from the camera to a new folder, the regular gallery app won't show them, just a triangle where the image should be. Also, I can't send these images in messages from quickpic. What can I do about this? They're all pics of my newborn son and everybody wants to see him!

did you try clearing quickpic's data and cache
I have a problem with Quickpic too - when I try to assign a picture to a contact - when you pick a picture, choose 'set as' and then try and assign a picture to a contact it just doesn't work. The picture to be assigned opens up with the margins to be set (edit mode), fades away for an instant and then comes back. When you set the margins and click the floppy disc icon (in the top right hand corner) to 'save' the picture the screen goes black and you have to exit the program. I'm fairly sure that this feature used to work fine up until recently. I've even gone as far as to do a factory reset on my phone, reflash my phone's ROM and reinstall the QuickPic app. No change though, I still can't set a contact picture.
Can anyone help? My phone is a Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray.

Hi..i got some problems with my galaxy nexus gallery. I can't edit my pics or set my pics as wallpaper. When i try to do so, my gallery will force to stop and it say "unfortunately gallery has stopped". This **** happens everytime i try to edit or set pics as wallpaper. Anybody got ideas how to fix it?
Back up you photos on your computer, then go to settings and clear the gallery app data, reboot, and see if that solves it. If you're rooted, you can also delete the no.media folder, reboot, and the issues should be resolved.

So my Google hangouts app, whenever I receive a picture message, I tap to view it full screen, it opens but after a split second it turns into a pic I received weeks ago. I can only scroll backwards to view previously received pictures. Tried clearing data cache for hangouts and gallery apks everything short of a clean install. Any ideas? Running cm11

My wife's stock Note 3 does the same thing. Hangouts works fine on my N5 though. Have you found a fix yet?

I did clear the cache manually, but only after this issue started.
Is there more than 1 picture sent per mms? If so, you have to forward it to yourself then you can open each of them? It's a hangout bug among others that need to be fix.
