So my Google hangouts app, whenever I receive a picture message, I tap to view it full screen, it opens but after a split second it turns into a pic I received weeks ago. I can only scroll backwards to view previously received pictures. Tried clearing data cache for hangouts and gallery apks everything short of a clean install. Any ideas? Running cm11

My wife's stock Note 3 does the same thing. Hangouts works fine on my N5 though. Have you found a fix yet?

I did clear the cache manually, but only after this issue started.
Is there more than 1 picture sent per mms? If so, you have to forward it to yourself then you can open each of them? It's a hangout bug among others that need to be fix.

You have to disable notifications on the one you don't want to see notifications from. This is not the best explanation, but it's as if your messages get sent to one location where any message app can read them. Essentially, both apps are still looking for notifications, therefore, notifying you twice.
I have look

He's not talking about double notifications. He's talking about incoming messages showing up twice INSIDE of the app.
Here's an example

I can confirm this problem as well. It seems I cannot uninstall the default messaging app either.

Wow, i see what you mean. That does suck. I was responding to this but decided to test for myself.
I've been using Go SMS since I got the phone last tuesday and I never had the issue. I installed Handcent and tested (now I have stock, go SMS and handcent). The very first message I sent to myself from my wife's phone I got double messages as you experienced. I sent myself five more and I did not received any more doubles. Not sure what it is, but this was the first and hopefully last time I'll see this.
Did you uninstall all the third party messaging apps and test to see if the issue goes away?

Yeah I have unistalled all the message apps and stock and other message apps work fine just the ics message app its not working for me. Even the one that are in the market do the same thing
You can use Titanium Backup to freeze the default message apk. That seemed to fix the problem for me. Always backup the apk first!

Stupid question but how can you send multiple pictures from hangouts? I go to the gallery app and multi select but the hangout app doesn't display for sharing. I can only do one at a time

Still doesn't support this... Any workarounds with downloading another messaging app and not setting it to default messenger.

go to the hangouts chat that you want to share your pics with, and at the bottom you'll see a camera icon along with others, hit the gallery icon and you'll be able to send multiple pics on it, you can only send 10 at a time, I sent 50 but only 30 went tru, the other 20 it says: "message not sent, retry" I have resent the 20 but still they don't go tru, it might be a limit on how many pics can you send in one day.
Hey guys, first message here
I have a little problem with the last update of FalconPro, v2.0.7 on my nexus 5 (on the nexus 10 works fine)
When I click the share button, I get straight to google keep and I cant pick any other app, as pocket or chrome
Im not sure if this is a bug or I have to reconfigure something
Thanks for your help!
Share feature is working fine for me on v2.0.7
Try going to Keep app settings and clearing defaults?
Go to Settings>Apps>choose the google app you keep getting and press clear defaults
Thanks, it worked, but I had to clear default settings for all the apps because I had no option to do it only on the google keep app, dont know why
Thanks again

If I freeze Google plus, and press the back button from within the camera,l app, my photos get deleted.
Any way to fix this? Seems the stock camera is looking for the Google plus photos app, which deletes the photo since the app is disable.
Thanks in advance.

Don`t think so, foto`s is part of Google+.
There's no way to fix it - they're one and the same I tried doing the same a while ago. As of now I'm just hiding Google+ in my launcher... Photos is too awesome to get rid of
Any way to remove the shortcut for photos from the stock camera app?

Delete google + off the phone and it will go away. I deleted a bunch of Google Apps that I did not want. Hangouts,Google+, amongst others. PLus if anything I would rather download and install then have installed as system app.

Thanks for the reply.
What I don't understand is how this has a different effect than disabling the app via settings.

I suppose since it is a system app and still on the phone.
OK the camera app update fixes this association between the camera and photos.

Hi,
I installed the new camera app update but didn't like it so uninstalled the updates on the Play store to get the old camera app back. Thing is, now when I take a picture and click the little preview on the top right corner to see it, it takes me to the Photos app instead of the Gallery app. This wasn't the case before I updated.
Is there any way I can set Gallery back as the default and stop previewing my pictures in Photos?
Thanks.
I'm stock, unrooted btw.
I've never used this but If you go to Settings > Apps then the menu you get "Reset app preferences" select that ( option to cancel or reset) and it says the reset includes "Default applications for actions"
Thanks for your help. Unfortunately that didn't work

I'm afraid that doesn't work either. Thanks for your help though.
Can you see Photos in settings > apps? I thought it was a component of Google+ and clearing the defaults for that may do it.
Disable Photos and Gallery is the only option.
