Do you accidentally turn your volume down without realising? Myself and a few other people I know, are always missing calls because the volume can be turned down with a slight touch to the volume button. Even my phone pressing against my jeans in my pocket would turn the volume down.
But, I came across an app called Volume Control + which allows you to lock the volume at any level, and provides you with a widget to easily access and change all sound settings.
Volume Control + is free from the market!

well, i installed the app anyway, and i see that it has ads. i'm not complaining about the ads themselves, but your app description should at least mention it.
love the UI in this app. very attractive. however, it doesn't work on my rooted captivate running 2.2. i've tried the alternative lock method too. i also don't get the locked/unlocked notification, even though i have it enabled in the settings.
would you like a logcat?

I just tried it and had it showed up in the status bar. When I was checking my voice mail, as soon as I opened it to change the volume, my voice mail stopped. Is there a way to make it so that I can change the volume while listening to my voice mail?

Why would you use these sh*tty apps? If you're on CM (or soon MCR) you can use the trackball wake/unlock feature

Because I have long fingers and pressing the trackball to wake is uncomfortable for me.
It lets all physical buttons unlock the screen (Volume Up/Down, Trackball) and makes replacement Lock Screens like Flyscreen work more often.
This would be perfect if pressing volume up/down or camera didn't turn on the screen on the Droid.

And if you're not? Some folks want to stay on the stock rom. I'm not one of them but this app has its place. Your condescension is unwarranted.
thanks ive been looking for a reliable app like this. i was using that screenmode widget crap and it just wasnt cutting it. it would only work half the time. so far so good on desire rom. since no one wants to port over the unlock mod to the desire ROM, this is the next best thing.
Need some help over here
How to run No Lock via adb?
I messed up my phone's lockscreen and can't get my phone running (stuck at android bootscreen)
I suspect this lockscreen is the culprit and wanted to disable it
So I can run my Launcher
But how?
Can I remotely control No Lock?
Thanks

Hello guys!
The Screen On application was a success and we thought it could be a great idea to expand the abilities of this application. We developed a new application called App Auto Settings, that works exactly as the Screen On application but let's you take control not only of the screen, but of WiFi, Bluetooth, Mobile Data, GPS and volume!
We have tested the app in as many devices as we could and it works fine, but please try it and report any bugs, suggestions or ideas, we cannot test it in all those mobile phones...

Thx for share.
Not seeing option for GPS on SGSII.

Edit: 20/11/2011
So is this a beta limitation? or a limitation of GB where programs can not call for GPS on without user request like Tasker?
well, that's my bad...
at first, we wanted to take control of the GPS, but unfortunately for security reasons (good in my opinion), Google decided that only the user will be able to enable and disable the GPS, so we removed it from the application.
The screenshot though is old, and I will replace it!
Thank you for noticing it!
OK, I'm confused. No offense, but it is not very intuitive. I just downloaded it, and I cannot tell the difference between Red and Green on the Screen Timeout in the On Charge profile, and either way I set it, the screen timed out! Also, on WiFi and such, what's the difference between Red, Green and the white box? I also don't see my Navigation app.
good app

this is good? 5 year old and outdated libraries? open your eyes...
Can anyone tell me if this has been added to any of the current builds? I'm dying for a daily use ROM and it's a must for me.

I don't believe there is, although I know that there is a configuration to disable the lock screen so that pressing the power button immediately turns the screen onto what you were doing last.

my power button is borked, so i need to use a different button for my power button too, volume rocker wake is what i prefer too. there are a few lockscreen apps that work, but i hate their lockscreens. luckily, if you go to the phones main settings, security, and disable the screen lock. youll be able to wake your phone with the volume keys. the only thing is, you wont have a lockscreen to go through.

How many times a day do you click home only to be followed by lock button immediately after?
Think of it, you are done with using an app, you click home and then lock.
You are done texting, click home and lock.
Is there an app (button) which can combine these two actions? It can be invoked using swipepad, wave launcher, circle launcher, smart sidebar etc. Otherwise, it can just be a widget on home screen. Or it may be set to work upon clicking home button twice.
(In my current swipepad setup, I go home and lock from swipepad itself. I could use this one app if someone finds/create it)

I actually never lock my S2. Pressing home and sliding the phone in a cover works fine. Screen locks automatically in 30 seconds.

Sounds pretty cool, I can relate to click home then locking.

I wonder why no developer thought of it. Anyone listening?
I'm not rooted, is there a way to stop it from coming up? It's very annoying. Comes up everytime I connect my BT headset........
Yes it is very annoying. I wish it would just remember the setting i had last so i dont have to click ok and then turn the volume up all the way every time i plug it into my car.
Sad to here this happens on bluetooth as well.

You can turn it off in settings. I turned it off on mine. Just type volume in the search bar and I'm sure you'll see the option. It's kinda oddly hidden in the audio menu somewhere. I returned my Note 7 last Friday, otherwise I'd tell you exactly where to go.

I think I love you
I got the volume warning again today. I checked the setting and its still set to off.
Oh well... most of the time it works... lol

Yea... So this didn't work for me...lol
This didn't work for me either, it seems that setting is only to allow you to set an actual limit on volume (for kids).
Yeah same here. After a reboot I still get the high volume warning.
I was able to turn it on and set a custom limit. I'll get the notification but it won't be until I max out.
Not me. Doesn't matter where input it I still get the same warning.
