Hello! In GB roms it is possible to have transparent/ semi transparent statusbar, but unfortunately not all launchers support this. For example in Go launcher it will only show as a plain color. I know SweeterHome supports this. Which other launchers support transparent statusbar?
Thanks in advance

I think the topic owner want to say about "transparent notification bar", not Dock-bar.
In that case no launcher will do it, because the notification bar is not part of the launcher.

well try uot kitchen they have transparent notification bar...and the kitchen is easy to use.
ADW EX (and possibly the free version) will allow you to do it.
In ADW settings go to "General Behavior", then "System Preferences". Uncheck "Wallpaper Hack", and voila. You may need to restart ADW afterwards.

Is there any home screen launcher without a dock bar? I would like to have access to the entire screen and not have a dock. I know you can hide the dock on some but it still leaves an unusable space where the dock was.
I have tried :
Launcher Pro
ADW
SlideScreen (no dock but not my style)
SweeterHome
Any suggestions?

You could use Launcher Pro and have no background set for the dock - and then use transparent icons for the icons. That way, it would in a sense - be invisible.
SweeterHome can do what you want.
Why you don't want to use it?
ADW sure can do that, hide the status bar, hide the dock bar, all you need to try on its options.

I guess I did not play with the settings for SweeterHome enough, I will revisit it again.

ADW and LauncherPro both leave an unusable space even if you hide the dock.
I have got SweeterHome pretty close to how I want, just wish is supported scrollable widgets!
VLauncher?
If anyone was interested, this is how I have Sweeter Home set up.

I was going to say the same thing. With the latest ADW release you can completely disable the dock. I have the notification bar and dock hidden, set to five rows. The bottom row of icons/widgets go to the bottom of the screen.
Just checked out the new adw so now I am not sure which one I want to use.

how do i add apps to the bottom?
To add shortcuts to the dock, press the app tray, then hit menu and go to edit. From there you can drag apps into whatever order you want and you can move up to three apps in to the dock.

Dock icons
How do you add the Phone, Contacts, etc. to the dock? All I have is options and I'm not sure what to do to get the other icons there. Thanks in advance.
*EDIT: Nevermind, I see. Like mentioned above this post, open the app drawer, press the menu button, and press edit to drag icons.
How do you get rid of the black bar on top?

Long press home screen > Launcher Actions > Hide/Show Action Bar
Once shortcut is created, tap it, then delete the shortcut EDIT - Unless you want to keep the shortcut so you can toggle on and off. It doesn't NEED to be deleted unless you don't plan on using it again

I know I absolutely am. I prefer the customization of adw. I need my swipe gestures. Plus, I set my density on my Inspire to 160dpi, so the stock launcher looks scrunched in the app drawer.
Can someone upload that adw plus ics thing? Im on my phone so its hard to search

so there is no way to disable it completely? it keeps coming back
Hmmmm, I don't have any option to show/hide action bar.
Are we talking about the top of the screen, where I have a blue line and above it on the right hand side the button that looks like 3 dots that opens settings? That's what I wanna get rid of. So the top of my tabs screen looks like the first pic you see whern you look at adw launcher ex on the market.
I cannot email developer of adw ex. I get delivery failed on gmail whenever I try to mail anderweb

Hey guys, just wanted to share an ICS search widget mod that works perfectly on our Notes. (Gingerbread) I found this app on the market awhile back, but was pulled down for an unknown reason. I did not write this app & unfortunately I do not even know who to give credit to.
Either way, this is the best method I've found for getting a high res ICS themed search widget - the voice icon also works perfectly. Just install the APK as you would any other application (file manager, root explorer, etc) and the widget will show up in your widget menu.
Here is a screenshot and download link :

You'll need a launcher that allows you to resize widgets, otherwise it will be 4x1 like the stock widget. I use ADW EX w/ 6x1. I know Go Launcher, Launcher Pro, SPB shell 3d, and many others will allow you to resize it.

How did you get your dock to look like that? I have the background image and the ICS icons, however when I set the background that white line touches the top of the icons rather than there being a "gap" like there should be!
I use Kovdev's ICS theme which i believe works with ADW and Go launcher.
Just reporting it worked for me in my Ace...
Downloaded! Great share!!
