this link is not working.

Another link to TouchStudio: research.microsoft.com/en-us/projects/touchstudio/ (sorry, I cannot link yet).
But as far as I tested, it shows typical SmsComposeTask.
I can only repeat my answer from the previous topic: Impossible.
Why would you need it? You can send e-mails (but not from phone's account) or requests to webservice without user action instead of SMS, maybe you can change your app behavior.

Does anyone know of an app that...

... accepts txt messages and performs specific (configurable) actions based on the consumed request.
For example I would like to send a remote device a specifically formated txt msg that the causes it to snap a picture and send it back to me via say MMS or Email.

Looks to me like someone has jumped to the wrong conclusion..
I specifically mentioned configurable actions because I have a number of reasons for such an app.
Firstly I always leave my phone at home by mistake after a night on the sauce. I would like to send it a message getting it to redirect all my calls to my landline.
I also want to leave one of my devices on my yacht and sms it when I want to know how things are on board.
With configurable actions/macros an application of this type would be super dooper.

There is no option like this.
That is lame that you can't. I've said it before and I'll say it again "I miss Windows Mobile". Sure it froze here and there and it wasn't as pretty as WP but if you needed it to do something, it did it.
no this option now, and microsoft did not provide the access to MMS yet..so no app for this either
I can use mms if i run htc connection setup and chose att.
There is no option to erase multiple SMS messages at once, but you can delete a single SMS at a time by simply tapping and holding on the specific SMS to bring up a menu of options (which includes Delete).
Thanks for your reply I am aware of deleting single sms, but I want a option of deleting multiple sms at once in a thread like in iphone. Deleting one by one is way too annoying
super sms quick delete seems to work really well
would link it but too new to post links. just search market.android.com

You seem to be lost. This is a WP7 forum.

Fingers crossed they implement something the same as with the emails (where you can just tap to the side and all the checkboxes appear). I love how quick that is to delete email messages.
There doesn't seem to be anything in the public Mango APIs to allow developers to write something that would help. Microsoft only seem to let developers compose and send messages in their apps, not list or delete existing sms's.

Forwarding an SMS and Manual

Two questions really.
If I knew where to get a manual (can't find one anywhere) I'd not need to ask the first question:
OK, I've received an SMS which I want to forward to someone that isn't in my phonebook. I can hold-press the message and select 'forward', but instead of being able to put the number in to send it to, Hangouts pops up (which is the ****tiest text app I've ever seen, btw) and makes me select a contact. Because there is no contact for this number, I tried creating a new one (although I don't want a contact for this number) but when I put the number in, it won't let me save it; I've tried pressing enter but nothing happens. This is the single most frustrating thing I've found with KitKat so far.
In fact, I have another question:
Can anyone recommend a decent SMS app? Really, hangouts is truly awful.

Thanks, Dirk. I appreciate it.
EDIT: Sweet, MMS.apk appears to do everything I need and nothing I don't. Have a thank you point

The double check is not a read report. It's a message delivered to recipient report (the first check means message has been sent and the second means message has been received, not read)
I don't think whatsapp plus has that option, but install and try it for yourself.

[Q] is this whatsapp + safe?

Hello
please can any one help and confirm if this modified whatsapp plus safe for using ?
i mean if this app not send any conversation or private photo, video to developer email or something like that ?
That app is banned here. But many people use it and as long as you use the main one you will be fine. But if your worried you could always do a logcat while you use it and see what it does.
whatsapp
yes its safe to work. But many times it closes down unexpectedly
