Genuine unlocking service - HTC Sensation

Hi all,
Just picked up a sensation and its locked to 3 so need to unlock it to the o2 network. I have never had to use an online locking service before and I would just like some recommendations regarding good genuine services.
Thanks all

At the moment there are none. However if you wait not even a week someone will have figured out how to do it.

Hello there I was searching for the same. Finally decided to go for www.htcimeiunlock.com . It worked perfectly and the unlock code was mailed to me within 15 mind. I did cost me around 20 USD.
I tried all methods. S off, changing to unbranded Ruu, falshing radios. Super CID. Later to find out sim unlock has nothing to do with all of them.
Guess u can wait for Sumone to find out a solution ..it will be here but wait can be too long.
Hope this helped

[Q] AT&T User wanting to avail T-Mobile Warranty?

Hey guys,
I bought a T-Mobile Sensation 4G off craigslist last August. Last week, the touchscreen stopped responding (the phone fell down). I tried the solutions given in the touchscreen problems thread. Putting an aluminium foil inside the back cover worked for a day, but the touchscreen stopped responding the next day again. It's not working at all now.
Here's my question. I'm an AT&T user. I believe that the phone is still under warranty. I need to get my phone replaced. Now since I'm not a T-Mobile user, I don't think I can walk into a T-Mobile store and ask them for an exchange. How do I avail the warranty? Please help me out. Thanks.
No you.can't go to T-Mobile. They will Ask for your account number. However you can try through HTC. If it's still under warentee they will know. Hope this helps.

Only HTC as mentioned...
If fidgeting with the contacts to the back cover made it work for a while, it does still sound like a contact issue. That said, I don't really understand that whole deal. Why is it then that when the cover is removed, the touch screen still works?
Check all contacts and see if something is getting pinched or loose this is all I can think of. Very strange. Best of luck. HTC should replace it if it's under warranty. T-Mobile will not. I'm. T-Mobile customer and the first thing they do is Ask for your account number. But I do think HTC will replace it if it's truly under warranty.
Best of luck

I can completely confirm that if the device is still under warranty HTC will uphold that warranty and so any warranty work it needs. I personally will never deal with T-Mobile again if I have a problem with a device, I will always contact the OEM. Just contact HTC they will ask for information such as serial number and IMEI and this will tell them if the device is still under warranty.
Thanks guys. I've contacted HTC through the email form given on their website. I hope they reply soon. I'll let you guys know what happens.
Htc won't replace the device, but if it is still under warranty they will fix it for you... Or you can have a friend that is with T-Mobile and get the device replaced as long as it is still under warranty

Haven't tried them personally but
http://www.htcsimunlock.com
There are more sites that can do it. I've also heard of people getting the unlock code off eBay for pretty cheap. Just don't have a link for it.
And make sure you have a different companies sim in order to be able to enter the code

I have done mine here http://www.cellunlock.net/mobile/default.aspx
They charge you 10$ , once you send your MEI number they will send the unlock code in 15 min
I heard you can get it down for cheap like 3-4$ on eBay . Refer to above post

Edit: you need to post in Question&Answers thread not in General
Have you tried contacting the carrier? They usually give me the unlock code for free.
Not until at least November. That's what I was told when I called.

Sim Unlock on 1.45.0013

Does anyone know if a sim unlock is possible?
On the old 1.44.0007 it was a simple process with Revolutionary, but I can't seem to find anything similar for the new hboot

I really thought you found a solution for me or a thread I over looked lol.
Those methods work for the old hboot 1.44.0007, not the new 13
Besides that, one of them relies on revolutionary which I can't do, and the other doesn't work period. The sensation guide I follow says strings not found. I got a replacement slide on the new hboot and I need to unlock to run on AT&T. I'm without a phone right now
You can always pay for a sim unlock code, or give to someone who has t mobile for a day, have them call and get a code for free, then give it back to you the next day. Once the code is in there it will be perminent

Paying is not an option, especially if it can be had for free.
Every time I've done this through a friend, the phone didn't have to be actively in use or associated with the account. I asked my friend who is on contract to request a code for me, and she tells me it's a $35 charge to unlock. WTF? Sim unlocks from carriers are always free as long as you have a contract or bought the phone from them directly.
Am I missing something here???
Everytime I've had to do this through tmo it has been free, but the sim had to be in the phone when I called. And I'm always on a no contract contract and have been for the better part of 13years (I don't like paying more to get a free phone)

Call T-Mobile and tell them you're going out of the country and you need it unlocked. It's worked for us for like three phones now

I can see T-mobile charging for an unlock. A lot of times it depends on who you're dealing with at T-mobile. Some people are nice and will do what you ask, while others will just shut you down.
I know this doesn't answer your question, but I say have your friend try once more. And maybe do what someone else suggested and have the sim in the phone when she calls (so she'd take her sim from her T-mobile phone and put it in your phone), assuming your friend is willing to do that. Then again, whenever I swap my sims around I always put them in another phone on the same plan; maybe T-mobile wouldn't like it if the sim was in a phone not on the persons plan... not sure.
Good luck.

Yea I see that now. It's weird, you never needed to have the phone being actively used...
Hopefully I can ask her to try again. I hate to keep asking for favors like this. Not really my style

[Q] Buying a One s?

Well after smashing my screen on my beloved One v for the second time I've decided to buy a second hand One S and upgrade my experience
My Question is .. if i buy from across the pond (USA) will the phone work over in the UK on any sim ( if its unlocked ) .as i'm t-mobile and or giff-gaff.
Also. Will a t-mobile sim work on an Orange locked HOS as they are now sharing networks?
Thanks in advance and im looking forward to hopefully being a HOS owner:victory:
I am not that sure, but imo only lame iPhone has these kind of "limits"
I might be wrong, so if someone could just verify this.

Its quite possible a locked device wont work.
But unlike the IFail, its quite easy to fix it. Theres a sim unlock thread in the dev section for example.

Help breaking simlock

Hoping someone can help
I bought a Sensation XE supposedly not network locked, stupidly didnt check, did the necessary and flashed it with ARHD and set it up and then rushed sending it fro UK to singapore as a gift for my fiancee and her yet again failing junkberry.
The idea was i could set it up properly for email, skype etc etc to save us costs and avoid sms and make it a nice gift customised and with music, pics etc.
She has now tried to use it and discovered its simlocked, this is embarrasing and frustrating and expensive. I rushed getting it out and its the one thing i forgot to check :crying: Id love to stick a boot up the seller said it wasnt network locked.
I cant get it code unlocked because I cant get it back on whatever uk network.
Theres a snowballs chance in hell ill get her using revolutionary.
Theres a slim hope I could get an xtc clip and make and send a goldcard but im not sure how xtc clip works, do i need the phone present to make a goldcard?
Is there anyone here can recommend someone/somewhere reliable who can break/remove a simlock on a uk phone in singapore (presumeably at sim lim).
Please help folks, the only other option otherwise is do another phone and send it out or have the phone sent back, sort it out and resend.

The problem with this is that if method one fails, the user will need to be full s-off And on gingerbread firmware before it will work....
Op, does the phone request an unlock code while she is in singapore? If so you could try a online imei unlock. Buy=code and then get her to input it?

Not a chance Im afraid, this is someone who just knows how to call and text and occasionally take pics and is completely computer illiterate. Anything technical is not possible.
I guess the only way is to call the phone's company and ask for the unlock code...

Imn afraid I have no idea which company it was on, it was sold to me as unlocked/sim free.
Anyone else, someone must have some local info re singapore
Where did you buy the phone from? If from eBay or Amazon you should try to contact the seller. Or you can try to look up all the carriers that have the sensation in the UK.

Did the phone have any carrier apps/boot animations when you had it? Any sort of information at all?
If you bought an imei unlock online they should send you a code, and every time the phone is booted up with an incorrect sim it should request said code to unlock it.
