Hi,
I'm plugging my Nokia N900 as mass storage to my Asus dock but it doesn't mount it.
Could anyone help me? I'm using Prime 1.5.
The same happens when I connect my Xperia Arc to the Asus Dock.
Is it possible the mass storage mounting only works with devices that doesn't need user operation to show up as mass storage?
Thank you.

Hi Guys - After an unsuccessful attempt to find a solution to connect one andoid to another through USB, I am posting this thread hoping to find a solution from the XDA gods
Problem:- I have a Xperia x10 (Rooted Android) and a Transfomer (Unrooted Android), now when I connect my Xperia to the tab, the Xperia recognises the connection and prompts to mount the SD card. After mounthing the card, I am unable to browse the contents of the phone card in my tab. Actually the tab fails to recognise the phone card as external memory card.
Is there any application that will enable Android to Android file sharing through USB?
Thanks In Advance
Mount it manually in Settings>Storage>Mount USBDisk x.
It does not mount automatically.
If that does not work, try Multi-Mount SD on your Xperia.
If still won't work, it will be a ROM related problem on your phone.
Mine works fine - HTC Desire Root/S-OFF on MIUI XJ - unrooted TF
used to mount and read or write (though writing is not completely necessary) external hard drives in NTFS format using an OTG cable and the USB Mass Storage Watcher OTG app from Android market? Is a custom ROM absolutely necessary?

I just plug usb end in to my pc running windows 7 and it auto detects, if that is what your asking! You might have to get the usb drivers from samsung site or google it.

When I plug my tab it, I get a "Connected as a Media Device" (or something along those lines) and my computer will automatically open/view the files on my tablet. If this doesn't happen, you can download Kies (software from Samsung to help install drivers and sync media) and that might help you.
Kies link: http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/
USB mass storage mode is being phased out, if your in windows this is not a problem as the default "media transfer protocol" will work just the same for transferring files (albeit only one transfer at a time)but if you really must have USB mass storage, google is your friend.
usb working in ics
If you are asking for USB storage in tab then you should download nexus media importer from web.....
Your USB drive also should be on Fat32 format. Or tab will not know that USB drive is connected....
I know MTP is working, but my question concern the UMS (USB mass storage) protocol. After searching long time on internet, apparently, UMS will never work on tab under stock rom. Thanks but no solution.
If connecting a older Sony Ericson K850i mobile as slave to Asus TF300TL tablet (JB-4.2.1), mass storage of SE is not recognized by TF300.
Windows recognizes SE mobile with two mass storage partitions, labeled with drive letters, no problems so far.
All other known mass storage devices are recognized by TF300 (hd, usb stick, keyboard, mouse ...)
USB OTG adapter is http://www.amazon.de/dp/B0095XXAJG
How to solve this issue? Any hint for me?
Thx...
If You have root access try to mount it manualy with terminal:
Code:
mount /dev/block/sda1 /dir_to_mount
dir_to_mount should exist (e.g. create directory SE in /sdcard/). Or You can try some app like this.(requires root too)
Tab is rooted, so Chainfire's StickMount did the trick, thanks for the hint!
Hello all,
I'm new on this forum and I came here because I need your help.
I have a problem with a Lenovo 8080-H tablet, I want to recover some pictures that I deleted from the internal memory of the tablet by mistake.
But when I connect the tablet on the PC via a USB cable, that the internal memory can be recognized like a storage media, there is a problem, my operating system (Windows 10 Home), recognizes the internal memory like a YOGA TABLET 10 HD+ (Linux File-Stor Gadget USB Device) CD-ROM drive
I mention that I have also activated the USB debugging from the tablet and it still does not work!
Model Number: Lenovo B8080-H, Andoid version: 4.4.2;
Can someone help me, please?

Try changing the USB settings. Make it to M2P (media transfer protocol). It will then allow you to file share with your PC. Also if you deleted some pictures on your tablet, was it being backed up by google? If so you can recover it there.

It is already on MTP, but the internal memory cannot be recognized like a storage media and no, they were not backed up by google.
Can someone, please, help me?
Use diskdigger
If the photos are from internal storage...
Try installing the driver from the official site. And check the cable/PC that might cause the problem, I am not quite sure though.

Yes, try to download the driver or Lenovo MOTO Smart Assistant from official website of Lenovo -
https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/...GA-TABLET-10-HD-PLUS-B8080/downloads/DS101291
Nothing above is working!
Nothing above is working!
I checked the cable, it is OK!
I installed the diskdigger, is not going to do a full scan because the device can not be Rooting!
I installed the Lenovo MOTO Smart Assistant but the internal memory cannot be recognized like a storage media!
Is still recognizes the internal memory like a YOGA TABLET 10 HD+ (Linux File-Stor Gadget USB Device) CD-ROM drive!
I do not know what to do ????!!!!
