Grey 100-step batteries for WB-XPERIA TW Gingerbread V6 - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

Ok,
Since people have had some problems with losing reboot options, xloud, etc. from flashing older packages I am going to remove them & make this thread exclusively for Wolfbreak's 2.3.3 rom v6 (or latest). As of now it is the rom I use and the only one I can test properly and guarantee working. I am only including the framework-res.apk in these zips and not framework.jar or android.policy.jar, etc. so they will not add functionality to other roms and will only work with roms that share the same features as WB's.
Remember you can make a theme with a percentage battery at UOT kitchen or use one of the other mods or themes around if you have issues.
*Note-You will not need to mount anything special when installing these. Flash as a custom zip in xrecovery as you normally would.
Zipaligned,for her pleasure.

PLEASE remember to back up your phone before installing!!

Other versions reported working:Here
Icons are from Fightspit's thread and UOTK
Thanks to MrRusch & _calum_ for doing this originally
Thanks Frosty666 for initial screens & testing
Thanks to 10asseye & zorglub08 for the icon fix & keeping up with this when I wasn't.
Hit "Thanks" if you use it

Great work, we needed something like this. The default battery icon is useless.
I'm just backing up and downloading now. I will report back in about 10 minutes with the results. I'm using Wolfs's 2.3.3.
EDIT:
Works fine on Wolfs 2.3.3. Only one small bug; when charging, on the lock screen where it displays the battery level, the icon is slightly cut off at the top and bottom. No biggie though. Good work AyDee.
Screenshots are attached.

Great, thanks for confirming! Between my daughter's birthday and other stuff I haven't had a second to sit down & flash the SE 2.3 yet.. Tomorrow!!
I will fix the icons that are cut off and make an xrecovery zip soon.
And hopefully we'll see some themes pop up in the next few days using this

This is now flashable via xrecovery.
Also, the lockscreen images should be fixed.
Sorry for the double-post... Cheers!

Flashed worked absolutely fine.

Thanks for this, great mod. Works perfect on WB's rom

Absolutely fantastic, works flawlessly, thanks! (WB's 2.3.3. rom)

Everything works fine.....Thank you...

Are there already any reports on how it works on stock 2.3.3?

yes, almost every post before you replied saying it works

Handset will reboot while you long press the power button to invoke the power menu with Wolfbreak's GB_V06.

I have installed new Wolf firmware 006 and this Battery Mod crashes when you press power button.
I was loving this circle mod until I started to investigate (why crashes with Wolf Mod) and If I can solve it and I found A VERY STRANGE THING (for me):
Can you tell me why do a battery mod that only changes Notification Icons does need ALL this strange permissions?:
*Your Personal Information: read contact data, read user defined diccionary, write contact data
*Services that cost you money: directly call phone numbers
*Your messages: modify Gmail, read Gmail
*Your location: coarse network/gps location
*Network communication: control near field communication, create Bluetoot connections, full internet access
*Your accounts: use te authentication credentials of an account
*Phone Calls: read phone state and identity
*Hardware controls: change your audio settings, record audio
*Systems tools: bluetoot admin, change Wifi state, change UI settings, disable keylock, modify global system settings, mount and unmount filesystems, prevent phone from sleeping, write access point name settings, write sync settings.

I fixed the charging/low battery icons, one pixel line was cut at the bottom.

WTH are you talking about? How are you even trying to install this? If you are trying to install framework-res.apk with an app installer it won't work. Framework-res.apk may need those permissions since it tells the ui how to behave for all of those actions but I honestly have never dealt with permissions when installing.

Haven't updated to 006 but this had been working fine on WB 005 for me. Will update & investigate.

Awesome, got your PM & I'll update soon.
I originally made this since UOT Kitchen was down and there was no circle battery mod out yet. I will continue to update it to make it easy to just download & install, but remember you can make a theme with a percentage battery at UOT kichen or use one of the other mods or themes around if you have issues.
Cheers!
*Edit- There is a fix for Wolfbreak's 006 rom, see OP

Yes i did installed with xrecovery in update 005. But when I've installed firm 006 at first circle battery wasn't functioning so i tryed to extract it and install the apk only to check if that helped and this permissions issue came up... I really dont like that this mod has all this permissions.

[MOD] Change your Battery Icon to show Percentage charge level

Modify your X10 and change the default battery icon in the Notification bar (on the right) to display the exact battery charge level in percent.
(For a complete tutorial on modifying your choice framework to use whichever battery icons you wish, check out Calum's X10 Theme Reference – specifically post #5.)
Option 1: Install Only the Battery Icon Mod
(process and framework courtesy of MrRusch)
This tutorial will install a clean version of framework (2.1 original with the default X10 theme) with the percentage battery mod (grey colored version) applied. Choose this if you want to keep your X10 looking the same as it is by default, but you want the an accurate (ie: useful) battery icon.
Download and unrar your choice MrRusch's modified framework: framework-res.rar (from post #147).
Copy framework-res.apk to to your X10's /sdcard
In terminal client on your phone (try Android Terminal Emulator if you don't have one already installed):
- make sure you have super user permissions (su),
- remount filesystem as read-write (mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock2 /system), and
- replace framework (dd if=/sdcard/framework-res.apk of=/system/framework/framework-res.apk)
Option 2: Install Battery Icon Mod as part of the Dark10 Theme
(process and modified framework courtesy of _calum_)
(Dark10 theme and installation tool courtesy of Chewitt.)
This tutorial uses Chewitt's Dark10 theme as a basis for the modification, and will result in that theme being installed on your phone along with the battery icon mod. If applied your X10 will look like the screenshots below.
Download Calum's modified framework: framework-res.7z (from post #57).
Use 7-Zip to unzip it as: framework-res.apk
Download and unzip Chewitt's Dark10 Download Link For 2.1 Alpha theme.
Copy framework-res.apk to \Dark10 for 2.1 Alpha v3.0.0\Content\content\, overwriting the existing file.
Plug X10 into my PC's USB, ensuring USB debugging is enabled (Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging)
Run \Dark10 for 2.1 Alpha v3.0.0\Content\Dark10 Series Installer.cmd.
Select: #1 - Pre Install Check, and follow the on-screen prompts.
Once everything is verified OK, select: #5 - Install Framework.
Upon notice of success, phone will reboot with the beautiful Dark10 theme and (most importantly here), an animated percentage battery icon (visible on both the notification bar as well as the lock screen).
Additional Credits
Thanks to _calum_ for cracking how to modify framework-res.apk to get a working percentage battery icon.
Credit for the modified battery icons goes to Fightspit
Special thanks to: MarylandCookie.
Next Up: Lets see if we can figure out how to replace the semi-useless signal strength bars with an accurate signal strength (dBm) instead. Come join the effort!
I can't tell you for sure if it'll work on an X10, but it's no. 3 on my todo list
I hope to get around to it this week if work slows up a bit, I'll post back if noone beats me to it.
Using Gauge Battery Widget you can have something similar, but it doesn't replace the default battery icon. Can't see it being long though for the SuperCircle to be ported.

Yeah I use Battery Indicator Pro to show the percentage as a notification bar (left side) icon right now. However, I would really prefer to just have the default battery indicator show more useful information.
Plus, with the bigger icons on the 2.1 notification bar, we actually get less icons showing, making each space more valuable.
It's definitely possible but will probably take some work to get it running. I tried using the link provided and my battery display disappeared on reboot. I'm pretty sure those ones are froyo only.
I'll keep my eyes out for anything that may work. Calum, keep us updated.

Will probably require a bit of tweaking to get working...

Any chance of a tutorial?
OK. My friend (who has a Samsung Galaxy S) told me how he managed to change the battery icon to a percentage graphic (see attached pic).
He edited \system\framework\framework-res.apk.
Deleted all the existing res\drawable-hdpi\stat_sys_battery_<X>.png graphics.
Replaced them with a new (more extensive) set of graphics for every percentage.
Replaced res\drawable\stat_sys_battery.xml with one that includes listings for each new graphic.
Replaced res\drawable\stat_sys_battery_charge.xml with one that includes listings for the new charging graphics.
I have attached a .rar archive (framework-res.apk.rar) with only the changed files he used.
I tried editing my own framework-res.apk using APK-Manager (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695701), but I was unable to re-compile the modified APK (kept reporting errors).
My friend states that he simply dragged the files over using WinRAR, but I haven't tried that. If someone wants to, I've also attached his compiled (and signed?) apk (framework-res.apk).
If anyone else wants to see if we can work something out, this is a place to start at least.

[10/25][Universal!][Windows] Trailblazer101's Custom Framework Maker v6

Trailblazer101's Custom Framework Maker v6
Now with my batch program, creating your own personalized Framework is as simple as 1.2.3!
This batch created by me was created with the "noob" in mind.. Of course this "noob" must already have Java installed, and should have ADB set up correctly
Features:
- Easy-To-Use Framework Chooser (with support for your own framework!)
- Softkey Themer (with easy access to create your own!)
- Custom Softkey Mapping Support (Nexus S included, easy to create and add your own!)
- 1.2.3 Package Creating (and Pushing/Rebooting into Recovery too!*)
- Unique Ticker Clock Color Selection (type in whatever color you can think of!*)
-Weather Icon and/or History Button Removal! (Actually removes the Icons, not just blanks them over!)
-Drag-and-Drop Functionality! (Includes all the tasks that you will ever want to do with an *.apk or *.jar)
-Automatically Checks for Updates! (Warns you if there in an update, displays text about the update, and opens up your browser to this page )
-Option to Set my Program as the Default Action for APKs and/or JARs! (So when you click on an APK and/or JAR, it'll open up my program!)
-Lots of Extras and Bugfixes! (Check it out!)
Developer's Mode! (You can find the option to enable it in Extras -> Program Settings!)
Future Proof! and Bug fixes (The method it now uses to set the Ticker Modifications works no matter what is going on with your Standbymode.xml file!)
Ability to Change Pressed Clock Color!* (You must be on a ROM that supports this to notice any changes...)
NEW: Compatibility with Gingerbread Mods!
NEW: Shows History in the choose file screen!
NEW: Set Update Settings from Program!
The function of this Program to create a new, all your own, Flashable Package that has your own personal touch to it
The wonderful thing about this program is that you can use this with any old framework-res file from any rom/mod package! This means that you can create your own themed framework from DJ20 up to EC07
There are only two stipulations: 1) that you are running a deodexed rom, which means that there are no .odex files located withing the system/framework folder or system/app folder... If you are in doubt about this, a stock rom straight from the store will NOT work! But pretty much any rom found on this website works 2) You have Java installed, and should have ADB properly set up!
Now, let's get down to specific details about the different functions and terminology:
1) Towards the top of the main page is very important! This is an easy view of what settings you currently have applied Always keep an eye out on this, to make sure that you have selected everything that you want to select!
2) Default= Not Changed... Whatever the previous framework had, this option will allow the new framework to have it too... This includes history button/weather icon removal!
This Just In: Add your own Color to the Ticker Clock! This is still in beta stages, so be careful when changing the color... If you see any error messages, DON'T ATTEMPT FLASHING THE PACKAGE... But if it works for you, you have the easy and convenient ability to set any color you want for the Clock in a matter of seconds!
Also, You can now remove the Ticker Buttons on the main screen automatically, within seconds! And the icons are removed, not just covered up!
A new feature recently added was the option for custom Softkey Mapping! This setting can be found under extras, then under Softkey Remapping As of right now there is only the Nexus S remapping, with the original added in in case anyone flashed the Nexus S one and wants to make a new package to go back, but you can make your own easily! Just use the original mapping as a starting point, and go from there
You are more than welcome, and actually encouraged, to add your own! You can copy in your own personal framework, and you can make your own folder with your own Images!
*Notice: Make sure if you do make your own images that the image names are the same as the original! This is important, or the batch will not work!
I have said this before, and I will say this again... Please, for the sake of the community, if you make a package, please upload it I will be more than happy to share it on the front page of one of my Threads, giving you all of the credit
If you have found this Batch helpful, almost to the point of a godsend, you can click that Donate to me button if you want

hmmm well tried v3,
adb said successful push, wasnt, did it manually.
ticker color mod created w/o previous error via v2
flashed and after pause on bootup went black and did the vibrating jig.
restoring now...
tested w/o success gonna try with my pulled frameworks, might be because of recent added settings mod.
great job non the less tb101!
Yeah, build v2 didn't actually say an error message when it should've, so that is actually a good thing kinda, haha...
Can you tell me please what settings you applied? Like, what framework, softkeys (if any), auto-create etc etc
BTW: I am on the IRC, that might be faster
yeah i havent done anything to my phone since the restore after the failed flash.
i used the ec07 builtin frameworks, original softkeys, and purple color on ticker lol.
i opted to push in adb and it said it was successfully pushed, but it wasnt.
side note:
been real busy with tune up etc on the cars i own and work. hopefully this weekend i can try again. and fully set up my new to me dual screen xp64 media pc with adobe master suite. partitioned correctly this time to install the droid dev kit in windows and live cd....
updated OP with new version! has Weather Icon and History button removing
finally thanked the post, cause.... it finally worked for me. thanks again.
is there a dif from op and the one i got last night?

Whenever I choose to remove the ticker history button and push the framework to my phone my phone won't boot afterwards. I've tried twice

And how are you pushing the framework?
And are you using a framework that matches your current set up?

I didn't notice any errors. I pushed it using the script and doing it myself through adb like I always have. Yea I'm using the framework that I pulled from my phone right before using the script.

Yep. It should be OK.
Yes, it would be fine. Remember that bootmenu included in r2beta port has problems applying updates. It can´t mount /temp and would give you error. Change your bootmenu/cwm before updating.
I still can´t gent to mount RW in rootexplorer. Don´t know if it´s the version Im using, or other thing.

Dont know, Im flashing some test files right now, will check when It finish...
Su works ok for me.
Yes, su works, but I tried some apps that needs root, and dont ask for root permissions. Maybe it´s a problem with superuser.apk?

Apps on my phone that ask for root privilege are workig with no problems, including rw on rootexplorer. I used titanium backups to restore.
Thanks for reporting, will test further.
how much of a chance is there of bricking? is it a big risk? currently on cm7 latest build, if i flahsed and then wiped data, cache and dalvik, would i have less of a chance? silly questions i know
thanks anyway
The same chance than with any other rom
But you know, there are people that screw things beyond imaginable reasons
Tanks man!!!

Actually it is realy hard for a stupid guy to perma-brick Milestone 2, thanks to the locked bootloader...
You can always go to bootloader mode and flash an SBF.
Just make sure you don't mess with /pds (this has your IMEI and is unique to each device) and some /dev/block/mmc1p* partitions.

Yep, If you know the basics, it should be hard to break it.
Some pc's dont like rdslite, dont know why. Just be careful to cover the basics before flashing your phone.
Guys, do you like miui? It's so nice this ROM. Maybe is not the fastest, but the work miui team did, it's amazing.

Suggestions for custom rom makers/stock rom mods.

Hello everyone,
As it seems that I really like writing a lot (in English especially) and writing guides (my job requires a lot of standards), I thought of creating a guide for devs/custom rom makers/stock rom modifiers.
This guide is not something that I want to impose, these are just suggestions and I will also include some known issues around here. So, let's begin.
1. Bootanimation
This can be selected as you wish. Any bootanimation other than the standard one should be fine. Or, if you want, you can provide more animations and a short guide on how to change bootanimation.zip and where.
2. Lock Screen
Removing the HTC Lockscreen will lead to the default android Gingerbread one. Now this one's buggy. Like hell. For example, pull the right slider (the one with the sound control) to change the profile to vibrations. Now you can see that the slider is hanging from the top, pointing to bottom (can be fixed with a phone restart).
Example:
3. Missing caller screen when phone is locked
If you have the default lockscreen you will notice that there is no incoming call screen displayed when the phone is locked (that or I removed too much stuff). Keep this in mind.
4. Icons/Notifications
Even though the default Gingercroissant (too much bread) looks black, if you pull the status bar (taskbar) you will notice that it turns back to white-grey (the default HTC Sense/ChaCha) one. Keep this in mind when adding icons/notifications. (picking white icons will render them barely visible)
5. Applications
Most devs/modders prefer to add their most liked applications and integrate them into the ROM (so that you cannot uninstall them from Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications) which kinda sucks since not everyone uses/likes the same stuff (it's called "taste"). Basically I am suggestion to add only SuperUser and let the users install their own apps (Titanium, Messenger, GPS, etc.). For example I have my own Titanium Backup.apk (it's personalized) which I want to install - cannot be installed if Titanium is already present though.
6. Google Sync
Some of us like to have the Google account synchronized with the GMail server and I would suggest leaving the Google Contacts Sync and Calendar Sync in the rom (they can be removed later). It's easier to remove than to search the internet and add them separately.
7. Bloatware
News, Weather, Mirror, Stocks, News&Weather (Yes, 3 different applications for the same stuff), HTC Likes, HTC Hub, Downloads, Facebook, Peep, Tweeter, GTalk.. There are more, of course (for example I have also removed Live wallpaper stuff since I don't use Live wallpapers, skin picker, skin scanner, profile widget, ringtone widget, and more) and it should be taken into consideration this question: how much is really enough?
8. Link2SD and ext-partitions
Well, since custom roms do allow the use of ext and Link2SD I suggest using them as much as possible.
I do hope that this could help some of you (or mocked by others) but any feedback is welcomed.
Excellent suggestions! I'd also like to keep the HTC Sense widgets, as I find them quite useful. HTC Likes & HTC Hub can be removed, as they don't provide much use. Cheers.
Applications bundled with a rom can still be easily uninstalled, provided that the rom maker knows how to, and puts the apks inside an /data folder. Mounting and extraction is similar to that of the /system partition. The profit of this is the uninstallability (nice word, huh?) Of the added apks, the downside is of course that a data wipe will remove these applications. Ideal would be a /system rom base update.zip, and an applications.zip containing all the added applications the developer likes, to be extracted into /data. Just sharing my thoughts..

i have been customizing my rom based on the stock, but this was one of the irritating parts. finally, i have decided to use the original htclockscreen.
to change the icons in the lockscreen, you don't need to have rosie installed. all you need is simply to add setting.xml in /data/data/com.htc.lockscreen/shared_prefs. (i did it in init.d)
the format of setting.xml is as follow:
Code:
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8' standalone='yes' ?>
<map>
<boolean name="customized" value="true" />
<string name="shortcut1">#Intent;action=android.intent.action.MAIN;category=android.intent.category.LAUNCHER;component=com.android.htcdialer/.Dialer;end</string>
<string name="shortcut2">#Intent;action=android.intent.action.MAIN;category=android.intent.category.LAUNCHER;component=com.google.android.gm/.ConversationListActivityGmail;end</string>
<string name="shortcut3">#Intent;action=android.intent.action.MAIN;category=android.intent.category.LAUNCHER;component=com.android.camera/.CameraEntry;end</string>
<string name="shortcut4">#Intent;action=android.intent.action.MAIN;category=android.intent.category.LAUNCHER;component=com.handcent.nextsms/com.handcent.sms.ui.ConversationExList;end</string>

1. Power off is not working properly
2. if charging turned off phone, then the phone gets stuck and needs to remove battery to start.

i tried to fix keyboard layout issue but couldnt get my CID to match the ones stated in other posts

What do you mean by 1. ?
For 2. get the latest CWM, it's a recovery issue and has been fixed.
rom makers should not remove Gtalk, It is Incredibly hard to restore it once removed. and all just to save a few KB of space...

Thanks for trying my custom rom.....
1) what do you mean by this? does your power off button not showing the power options? if yes, you need to press and hold the button for 2 to 3 sec for the power option menu to show up
2) As alex stated, you need to flash the latest CWM recovery
3) what CID you have? what did you changed.
And did anyone know how to move this post to the original ZASA thread?
I've done the same thing you are doing over here and, beside Link2SD removing the Sense UI and things, i've removed even the default E-Mail client, News, Meteo, HTC Clock Widget, Facebook, Peep, Latitude, Messages Widget, Inform HTC, Meteo Widget, Music Widget, HTC Sense, Street View, Home Suggestions, HtcTrendsWidget, Photo Widget, Meteo Sync Provider for HTC, Ringtone Widget, Animated Wallpaper Selector, Sense Plugin Manager, HTC Meteo Wallpaper, HTC HubSync Provider, HTC Report Agent, HTC CheckIn Service.
Instead i've installed:
Kingsoft Office
Facebook for Android (From the PlayStore)
GoLauncher EX (i had an unlock bug, but i still see the volume button as you; i will change the lockscreen)
K-9 Mail
GoClock Widget
Quadrant Standar
* Winamp
Link2SD
Battery Indicator
Terminal Emulator (thinking about change it)
SuperUser
---------
*Thinking about removing "Music"
The reason for doing this is as simple as "You don't use it, you don't need it" and battery life ( IMPROVED! ).
---------
I'm having problems with the fB button, but i will fix it with the .apk that let's you choose what for to use it. I don't really need a fB button. Trying to make it sync the mails atm.
BTW, it was pretty hard to get it rooted and CWM installed. But i've done it!
If anyone needs help, pm me.
p.s. Keep the stock ROM, it's way better than everything atm.
p.s.s. i've used for work for 2 days so far and it's doing his job very well. F* BB&WP7 )

Hey
1. When I power off and put on charging ... Phone starts up automatically with HTC report notification that something went wrong...
2.I am updated with latest cwm. Temp work around was to use Rom manager and directly reboot recovery
3. I got my keylayout fixed. See this post ...... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1496730
Yeah I don't know If we can move the post to original thread coz at that time I was restricted to wait for 10 posts policy lol to comment in a development thread

[ROM] Nick's Phone Compiled From Oxy/Roalex With Mods [15.08.2012]

Nick's Phone V1.0 Based on Oxygen and Built From Roalex Sources
First of all, big thanks to AdamG, _thalamus, Roalex, everyone at Cyanogen, ihlades and everyone else who helps the desire! (And others I've forgot!)
I wasn't going to build Android from source because I knew it would grip me and consume me but I couldn't help it! I've been building Oxygen and Roalex from source and have added in my own changes in to both. I've settled on Roalex because it has more patches and updates than I can be bothered to add in manually! (I don't use github, all my changes are done offline etc)
Anyway, the ROM is based on Roalex's source code for his Wip branch as of the beginning of August with:
Lockscreen calendar - with the next 3 appointments shown up to 1 week in advance
Lockscreen Music controls - appear when music is playing and screen is locked, ONLY WORK WITH STOCK GINGERBREAD MUSIC PLAYER! (for some reason). They do work with Winamp but it sometimes mixes up play / pause modes. Not sure why but I prefer the stock player as it's lightweight and themed with my own mods
Lockscreen Torch - long press the home button to enable the torch (I use this so much I had to have it!)
Swipe Away Last Notification and Close Notification Tab - Bit of a gimmick but I liked it!
Fix alarm snooze / dismiss unlocking the screen - Cyanogenmod has this but Oxygen didn't, so I added it. Basically when you dismiss your alarm it unlocks your screen! Which is annoying!
+ My own ICS based theme I've done. Please see screenshots.
All my changes are hard coded in and CANNOT be turned off. Sorry, I could add in the ability to turn them off but this is based on what I want and use so I didn't want the ability to turn them off because I don't want to!
I've also added my own Go Launcher ICS theme, Go Widgets Theme and my calendar ICS theme for Android Pro Widgets.
I've used Holo Launcher as the default launcher and have modified this also, with some graphical changes I prefer!
I've also added in a modified stopwatch & timer app themed by me.
There's also:
720p HW Playback
Trackpad to wake (NOT to unlock)
SDCard buffer modified to 1024KB
T9 Dialler
I've decided not to add in any build.prop tweaks as I'm not convinced they do anything! Or do very little, so I've done none of those this time but anyone is welcome to add them in if you choose to.
As with all my ROMS, this is provided "as is" and no warranty is given or implied, so you can use at your own risk.
If anyone notices any bugs / issues then please let me know or post here!
Anyway, enjoy!
MD5 is: 429DC097B7E9FB3E05808F67025B8D18
Download is here: [Updated version with 1.20.2 BusyBox binary]

FULL WIPE IS RECOMMENDED!
There's about 30MB of unused space in /system if you use the CM7r2 HBoot so you can either fill it up with your own applications or use the following custom HBoot created by schalmers to give you a system 125 / cache 5 / data 307 partition setup.

You can choose where to install your apps (same as Mildwild V4.3).
As per the instructions for MW's ROM (thanks SydBarret55), If you want apps on sd-ext:
1. Activate sd-ext:
Go to Setting>Applications>Development
Check SD-EXT
Reboot phone
2. Choose the default location for applications:
Go to Settings > Applications > Preferred install location
Choose sd-ext
Or go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25430232&postcount=3812
You can also move apps individually:
Settings > Applications > Manage applications
Touch the app you want to move, and then touch where you want the app to go e.g. Move to Phone, Move to SD-Ext (EXT3 or EXT4 partition) or Move to SD card (Fat 32 partition).
Again, the link above has screenshots to show you what to do.

It's basically a mix from the original ICS ROM, Sonny's amazing CM7 theme and some of my own work from all over the place! Like the circle battery mod is taken from the online kitchen (or from dGB by SUroot, can't remember where!) and modified to blue and grey by me. Most the notifications have been colour coded to blue by me and when you press menu, I've tried to colour code all those icons to white as well.
It's taken a long time to get to where it is but like I've posted before, I'm keeping my desire for another 8 months or more so want it to be the way I like it (and hopefully others do as well!)
Nick
Flashed this last night and i'm really impressed with it.
It's super quick. Even booting it up only takes about 10 seconds!
*edit*
Is there any way to change the clock colour to white? I've done theme using the UOT Kitchen and the blue clock doesn't look right.

I would have thought there's a way to do it in the Kitchen but if not you will need to use APKtool to decompile the framework-res.apk file unfortunately.
You can decompile it and edit the following bit in styles: (under res\values\styles.xml)
<style name="TextAppearance.StatusBar" parent="@android:style/Theme">
<item name="android:textSize">14.0sp</item>
<item name="android:textStyle">normal</item>
<item name="android:textColor">#ff39b6e7</item> <--------------- change this to ffffffff
</style>
Or you can do it this way:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9978779#post9978779
You just need to follow the bit that says notification, date and time (decompiling the systemui.apk file).
Cheers,
Nick

Far too complicated for me :silly: i'll leave it how it is.
Excellent work.
I love the symbols of the notification power widget. Just out of curiosity, what exactly did you change/theme regarding the "Holo Launcher"? I've been using the launcher for several weeks now but can't notice any difference.
Great work!
Is there a stand alone Lockscreen Music Control patch for oxygen 2.3.2?

I've only really changed a few things, mainly when you press menu the screen is transparent with a white border, instead of solid grey. Also when you press and hold on an icon, thats transparent and has a white border instead of just being solid grey and also when you go into a folder that's transparent with a white border. I've also made the return to desktop icon in the launcher brighter white and changed the play icon to ics blue instead of the semi-transparent white.
Not big changes but I prefer consistency!

I've not created one no, sorry. But it would be possible to do I'm sure. I think all the changes I made for lockscreen controls are in the framework-res location so a patch would be possible, but I won't be doing one, sorry.

It should be as it's based on the original oxygen / roalex sources and they are multi-language. Please let me know how the lock screen calendar looks because there's a string I changed in values for how the date is displayed, such as:
core/res/res/values/donottranslate-cldr.xml
<string name="abbrev_wday_month_day_no_year">E MMM d</string>
But I ONLY added this to values, not values-es and values-it etc etc so I hope Android will default to english and not crash if there's no language specific change. EG:
core/res/res/values-de/donottranslate-cldr.xml
<string name="abbrev_wday_month_day_no_year">E, d. MMM</string>
I presume it just means the date will be formated in UK format and not Spanish, but should still display correctly. Hopefully someone can let me know or post a screenshot to see if there's any issues.
EDIT: Just changed my language a few times and the lockscreen didn't crash or anything it displayed the date but I'm not sure if it's doing it wrong, but it looked OK but I only speak English unfortunately!

If there's a serious bug or update and there's a need to update the Tom then I will do yeah. But I wont be releasing minor graphical changes because the rom is pretty much where I want it graphically.
As for the kernel, I recommend the one that's in the rom as its thalamus' r4 release which is the latest one but has roalex's patch for call recording. If you want things neat you could flash thalamus' standard kernel on top but I expect that would break KSM if you use it (I don't)

Now that you've mentioned it, what are the benefits or using KSM?
I've read a bit about it but, as with compcache, swap and that kind of things, I never find to understand the "pros and cons", and usually dind't feel big differences when enabling and disabling.
Thanks!

I don't use it to be honest and I would doubt you would find much benefit from turning it on. I think it's mainly for when you're running virtual machines on a single host or if you run lots of similar processes on the same host.
So I imagine if you could make 2 calls at once and put one on hold while talking to the other etc then KSM might be able to use parts of that process and merge them in memory, potentially saving memory (totally hyperthetical here!). However, it's probably very minimal gains versus the time it takes for your phone to keep analysing memory pages to merge them!
And in theory, your phone should release memory used for processes once they've finished so even if you did save memory by using KSM in this hyperthetical situation, when you end both calls you should get the memory used released and back available anyway!
I think it only helps to run / do more things at once rather than get speed benefits because if 2 processes need the same memory page again it will create a copy and you have 2 un-merged pages again and more memory used up.
Someone more techy might provide a better insight but in a phone I would say it's not necessary. On a hyperV server running 20 virtual hosts I would say yes!
