Droid Charge i510 Battery Charger w/Stand - Verizon Droid Charge

I missed having an extra battery and external charger that I had for my Epic, so I started looking around online for one to go with my Droid Charge and didn't like what I saw. I found on Samsung's site, had it for 49.99, didn't like that, I kept looking, found that Google shopping found it for 29.99, I liked that a lot more but all the places I went to didn't have any stock, lame. That's when I went back to samsung's site and really thought about paying the 49.99...then I noticed that the "Droid Charge i510 Battery Charger w/Stand" also work with "Samsung Continuum i400 Android Smartphone." Found on Amazon a "Samsung Continuum i400 External Battery Charger w/ OEM Standard Battery" for 21.05 w/ 3.95 shipping and order it right away. I got it today and it works great. Pics below:

charges the phone at the same time as the extra battery

Why does your title say "w/stand?"
A bit misleading.
What case are you using and which stand is that? Looks good.

That is what the title says on Samsung's site, pic below:
The external battery charger is the stand and the case is Rocketfish from Best Buy, I work there that's why I bought it, I'm really wanting the Defender from otterbox when it comes out...

Looks like Verizon is selling them for $20 bucks if I am not mistaken. It says it is for the Fascinate but it looks like it is the same one in the orginal post here. This is big red's LINK I believe this is the same one that the OP is referring to. For twenty bucks, I may have to get one of these. If the OP or anyone else can confirm, I as well as others would really appreciate it.

I think this is what I love most about the xda forums. To paraphrase:
"I didn't get what you were saying until I read what you were saying"
ha ha ha ha ha. I think that a lot of forums online would have less flame wars if everybody was as honest as you. <wipes tear from my eye from laughter>
So have you guys seen any extended batteries for our phone, or are they going to be so enormous that nobody really wants one HUGE battery?

Here it is great buy for 25$

[Q] Evo 3d battery in Sensation

Just what the topic says. Does anybody think that the evo 3d battery would fit inside the sensation?
It should work since they're the same except for dual camera for 3D.

It would be awesome cause the e3d has a bigger battery.
The e3d is thicker than sensation. If a bigger would have fitted in sensation, they would have put it. My opinion: no chance to fit it in!

We will have to see. The only thing I would be worried about is if 3rd-party accessories such as a batter door be a little harder to make. After all, the sensation has that "wrap-around" design of the back of the phone.

It's a unibody design. There is no back battery cover. Check out the Desire HD or Incredible S if you don't know what I mean.
Edit: Oh, I see you have a Desire HD. I'm not sure what you mean by "back battery cover" then.
Off-topic: I see you're on Mobifone. Just got back from a holiday in Vietnam last week and was using a Mobifone SIM there that I bought off the street. Call rates and coverage were good but they sent me texts nearly every day! Awesome country. Could do without the scooters though
this actually looks possible... this week i will try to see if it truly is possible and post my findings

Hi old friend, nice to see you on the Sensation thread May I ask why you are wondering lol ?
IT WORKS!!!
Yesterday I put an Evo 3D battery into my Sensation and it worked like a dream. All you have to do is reverse it. The only issue you might run into is that the Evo's battery is 3.8v and the Sensations is 3.7v. Might cause slightly faster wear on the circuitry. But that being said, it just works

I bought (3) 1800mAh Batteries + Home Charger For Samsung Infuse 4G on Ebay for $13.99, free shipping. They're off brand, from China, took 2 weeks, but well worth it! Will come in handy while watching football and following three fantasy league scores!

True. I picked up 2 cheapos full well knowing that they're probably much less than "1800". But I also have an extra OEM battery that came with the charging dock. 4 batteries is more than enough even when I'm hanging around airports.
I don't mind the few seconds it takes me to swap out a battery.

I haven't had a chance to do controlled discharge tests, but using a controlled charge test - it took less than 1915 mAh from 25% to full, so it's 2500 at best. Probably 2300-2400 or less.

Horrible Battery even with Seidio Ext. Battery *ROOTED*

I know this is one of those things that everyone seems to complain about, but there is definitely something going on here. I have Seidios 3200 MAH extended battery for my ROOTED bolt, yet my friend running the same ROM as me is getting almost double the battery life with a stock battery. I know the first thing to check is if any apps are killing my battery, which I have checked through thoroughly with no luck. I have tried uninstalling these apps with no luck on better battery life. If it helps I'll post the apps I have
- Beautiful Widgets
- Brilliant Quotes Free
- Days left widget
- Draw Something Free
- Engadget
- Facebook
- iHeart Radio
- Instagram
- Twitter
- Yahoo Mail
- Ringdroid
- Root Explorer
- WeatherBug
- XDA
- Zedge
This of course doesnt include the stock apps on the ROM.
Currently running the Plan 9 ROM, if anybody has any tips for getting the battery up to par I would be very grateful!
EDIT: Forgot to mention how long my battery is lasting me. I'm getting about 8 hours before she is sucked dry

Actually it's called "Plan .9" Its only been out for a few days and it's a very very minimal sense ROM. It's missing alot of the sense features as to make the battery better, some people are getting up to 3 days while on it. And the developer is very responsive so far with adding sense widgets and squashing bugs. here is the link...

Yea the Chinese are getting into making bogus crap and selling it in bulk to people on eBay and other places. My stepdad bought a bunch of bnib usb flash drives on eBay claiming to be 200gb and none of them worked. They were some of the best fakes I have ever seen. They were in packing identical to the actual product.

I bought my battery directly from Seidio, don't think its a Chinese scam. But Something is definitely eating my battery, although the battery usage is showing my display as the main culprit.

You're showing 5 hours and you are only at 56%. That would mean you have around 5 more hours. It looks like you made some serious phone calls which would eat up a lot of battery too. I don't know if you use auto brightness but it can help if you disable it and set it at the lowest possible setting you can stand. Another thing you might look into is the Facebook app. It was causing a wake lock on my phone so I removed it and that helped me a lot.

If its a sense rom, try imo 5.2 kernel for sense. Use setcpu for a screen off profile of 245/386. If its desensed alot, you can probably get away with underclocking it to 768. Brightness is huge batt hog, set as low as possible. I have as few things syncing as possible also. Interesting looking rom, i will try it out with my stock battery and let you know.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA
Ok, its loaded. Fastest booting rom ive had. I did try ziggys 11:05 kernel first, did not overclock, but did set screen off profile. This thing flys, and i havent played much with it yet. Ill let u know more tomorrow.

the best battery life ive ever gotten was from the full blown MR4 rom with the stock MR4 kernel and the MR4 radio
people say that the MR4 Kernel slows the bandwidth down somehow and maybe it does but its awesome on battery life
Thats the thing, I only spent about 15 minutes total throughout the day on the phone so it seems like its eating much more battery than usual. Maybe I'll try a new kernel and see how that pans out.

Id guess its your widgets, im completly stock besides ziggys kernel. Tomorrow ill try the imo kernel.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA
I'd try to turn off widgets, but also turn off all background running apps.
Seal is a good program to keep apps from turning on imo. I use it to limit usage - on most Roms I get almost 30 hrs of battery life. (Extended battery).
Good trick - overnight I use Airplane Mode and my battery drops at most 5% for 10 hrs.

Exactly what I'm thinking. Haven't found anywhere online with them in stock though. Amazon, T-Mobile, and AT&T all list it as backordered or something similar. My corporate discount gets 25% off at Verizon, but they only have the flat one right now, sadly.

I'm hardly an engineer, but the specs say the DT-900 is only 300ma. Maybe that's causing the problem with the N4.
I tired both the Nokia puck and the JBL speakers in a Verizon store. Both had the infamous charging/not charging problem.
It's a no-go for either I'm afraid. I can assume the same for the Fatboy pillow too...

The charger works perfectly fine, you just have to make sure that the nexus 4 isn't sliding off because of the glass back. That'd what was causing it to connect/disconnect for me. Works great after I just put a piece of microfiber cloth on it before laying the phone down.

PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!
I tired it in the store including holding it still and steady in every position imaginable and I still got the charging on and off cycling of doom.
So seriously, please post photos or a video.

yes, i would love if you can prove that it works.... i can pick up a nokia charger on the cheap..
I wonder if it makes a difference that he is using the dock as opposed to the pad? Thoughts
I've seen it mentioned that the reliability of the charging depends on whether NFC is turned on or off. Think it was mentioned by someone on Engadget. Not sure how that would affect the Qi charging, but worth a shot I suppose.

Can anyone post some visual proof before people run out to get this thing, spend their cash and find out they got trolled...

Love how " Droidz" disappeared when asked to take a pic/video as proof since everyone else had experienced the disconnect/connect issue... So I call bull until he provides proof. Don't waste you time or cash until he does.

Guys, it very may work for Droidz, if you read The Verge's report you will notice that the charging issue seems to not affect ALL Nexus 4's, read below is an excerpt from The Verge's article
""The Nexus 4 and the Nokia DT-900 are supposed to properly work together," says Menno Treffers, chairman of the Wireless Power Consortium. Indeed, not everyone is having trouble pairing the Nexus 4 to the DT-900: Engadget reported success, for instance. But a single bad experience instills doubt in a standard that needs as much traction as it can get early on in the game."

Best wireless charger?

I found this one on amazon and I'm tempted by the price, has anyone bought this? Would it work with our phones? Or the touchstone?

This has been discussed.
Do not order a touchstone charger, it won't work.
The LG one does. Mines on its way.

The lg one is pretty cheap compared to other ones . was a bit skeptical. Can you confirm if it works when you get it? Either Here or through pm please a video would be nice.

There are numerous posts on XDA with people using them.
I would, however there's a thread that discusses the beeping from this unit.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2003137
People have confirmed it working there.

I think these chargers can be UP TO 70% efficient.

I understand the Nexus 4 uses this chip, and the datasheet is here.
So, the receiver is about 90% efficient when charging. I am not sure, but as this is a charge controller too I think that quoted efficiency from page 12 is for the DC provided to the battery. This is quite good as obviously a non-wireless charge controller phone would have some losses when charging a battery.
I presume that by AC they mean from the wireless antenna rather than mains, so you would have to include the waste in the plug/transmitter too.
Edit: It looks like most of the losses are in the transmission, as the efficiency there is much lower. In that datasheet it suggests more like 72-74% maximum, which is about right if the manufacturers quote 70%.
Check this one out guys. Looks quite nice and seems to have a rubbery surface to prevent the phone from slipping.

They sell it on amazon.de but don't seem to ship to Denmark
Found it on ebay for £37 here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Philips-D...degeräte_Dockingstationen&hash=item27cce3049d
Just bought it from the above seller. Will post about it when I receive it and let everyone know what it is like

Hey, I have received an Energizer mat and can confirm that it does indeed work with no hiccups. Only problem is that the glass back makes the phone very slippery on the matte-like finish on the Mat. Until I figure out a way to make it stay it's pretty much a nuisance and not usable.

Just find an invisible shield on clearance (designed for some old junker phone) and stick it on the surface of the charger.
No slip.

Did you pull off the clear film on the charging mat? That made mine sticky and it holds perfect.

I bought the Panasonic tm101 in white so it was easier to see the phone in the dark and I don't have to position it.
The LG one works, but you'll have to open it up and destroy the speaker.

I picked up the Energizer Qi mat also and can confirm it works great. What I did to keep the phone from sliding is went and purchased one of those cheap grippy dashboard mats for cars and stuck it into the charger. No more slippy slippy.
