I have noticed some issues, when the phone is placed on the charger. I have the t-mobile glove (rubber) I noticed that when the glove is on and it is plugged into charger the screen goes all weird I swipe the screen and it calls some random person from the contacts, if I try to unlock it the ring just bounces around and will not let me unlock the phone when I select a point on screen something else opens.
if I unplug it or remove the glove issue goes away, but work fine connected to charger(no glove) and works fine in glove (no charger connected)
I am at a loss as what could be causing this.
Is any one else experiencing this?
does your rubber skin touch the screen at all?
I use the same cover and have noticed those problems, but it seemed to be the same unresponsive problem as everyone else was having. They have since gone away completly so I am not sure what the remedy was, still using the same rubber case.

No the case comes close to the screen but does not touch it.

Anyone else having problems with the rubber cover over the USB port. I am about to pull it off as I can't get it to say in the the usb port anymore. It stays for a little bit and then pops out. Don't know why they even bother with it, but it works alot worse than the one on the Excaliber. Any thoughts on how to fix it or should I just pull it off? Wonder what all of your experience has been. BTW, I only have the phone for like 2 weeks.
I hate rubbers , so I pulled it off.
I'm looking for a S710 cradle which can be mounted to my mountainbike.
Any ideas?
Don't brodit do a bike mount - I am pretty sure that I looked and one for a push bike so they should.

if you remove the battery cover you can slide the rubber out without breaking it - just in case you ever want to put it back.
Mine is off - it is the moset annoying thing when you have a charging car holder!
My problem is the rubber over the memory card. It stays in but pops up. If the objective is to prevent dirt getting in then it fails with this huge gap!

Pulled mine off too. Feel like it was the only thing wrong with my Vox apart from lack of 3g of course.
I am using rubber covers from long time but i never had faced the problem..
I have the problem with my sensation when you press down at the bottom of the screen I can sometimes here a creaking noise however whenever I have something plugged into the micro USB port the creaking stops completely! I can't tell if you're trolling or not...
Yeah he's being a ****. I solved this problem by lining the sides and bottom of the back cover with some scotch tape. Make sure to avoid the gold contacts on the bottom.
I put atiny bit of WD40 on a cotton bud on the latch for the back door, and it stopped imediately. I did have some creaking when pressing on the touchscreen, but thats gone too.
Must have broken it in.
I had initially no creaking noise but it has started after 6 weeks of use. And it is really bad. The upper right corner of the screen started to move slightly when being pressed, causing a creaking noise when doing it.
What I did was to put some thick scotch tape between the screen part and the back part which caused the creaking noise to cease.
Has anyone else experienced this? Would you recommend to send for warranty repair?
I am having a weird problem. I am on stock ATT with root. If i am talking to someone using my phone....if i put it on speaker and screen goes off...I cannot make the screen on back again. If i click power button the phone gets disconnected. its really irritating bug.
Also if i am using GPS while driving and If i get a call....after attending the call and I am not able to go back to navigation app. it shows me black screen.
These two things are annoying me like hell. Any help is appreciated...
maybe set display to never sleep? esp. while driving? will drain the battery faster, but in the car presumably you would have a charger available...
Are you using a screen protector or case thats covering the proximity sensor? Its one of the little spots in the upper left corner. Where most protectors have a cut out. Anyways, thats there to shut the screen off on the phone when you are on it so you dont accidentally hit any buttons. If its covered it wont allow you to turn the display on because it thinks its next to your face. Either that or maybe your sensor is bad.
After having a duff sd slot on my original surface my replacement arrived today, all good, left it doing updates and installing my apps for a while, all was well, or so I thought..
The keyboard is now not responding after a while, connected, works, close the cover, open it again, screen doesn't come on, press power button screen comes on, keyboard not responding, close cover, screen stays active, disconnect keyboard and reconnect it and it works again..
Had a quick look through the settings and there's nothing I can see that relates to keyboard sleep or power management..
Tried it on my old surface and its fine :\
Wondering if anyone has seen or heard anything similar, otherwise another tech chat with support tomorrow...
You might want to try rebooting the new Surface, and make sure the connection port where the cover links up is clean, but otherwise I don't know what would cause that problem. I've had cases where the cover wasn't recognized, but disconnecting and reconnecting it fixed that.
Only issue I ever have with the cover is if I remove it while the tablet is sleeping and when it wakes it thinks it is still attached.
It's been rebooted many times so dont think its that, had a poke thru device managet last night and looked for power saving stuff but nothing relavant..
Connectors are all clean and it works in the old Surface.. :/
Maybe the keyboards just missing the tablet it came with lol
Still nothing, hard reset, power offs nothing, have now noticed that the edges of the touch cover are peeling apart at the corners so might get this replaced as well, so far the support guys have been spot on, the device however while really promising just lacks finish :\

Two options....
1. Return the cover..
2. Bring your surface bad cover to Microsoft store and let them figure out what is wrong...
I am very happy with my surface and the touch cover...
I have a 5 second delay sometimes when opening and closing. Otherwise, ref let msft know

I've had 2 bad units now, don't think its the cover as it worked on the first surface before I returned it.
I'll get onto surface support when they are back, I don't seem to be able to raise a ticket on the new unit, touch cover might end up going back as well at this rate...

I've had the same issue with the type cover. Sometimes it works fine throughout. Other times it seems to fall asleep until an adjustment is made.
I've caught the connection off by a few millimeters at times (although that doesn't explain why the initial connection would work), but you can look and check for that as well.
From now on I'll simply restart from the Power button without removing the connection to see if it's really a 100% mechanical issue.
Ha I've had all of these problems you've named
On Live Chat with support now, the MS forums seem to suggest a reset, I've tried it a few times tho, will see if they will fire out another cover..
Right, cover is being swapped out on AR as well now, hope they hurry up and take the hold off the card though, the hold is for more than it would cost to actually buy the bloody thing new again..
Hey guys,
Got this phone (exynos variant) on pre-order. Besides the atrocious battery life and the wifi problem, I've been having touchscreen issues only when the phone is charging.
The screen is usable so it is not horrible but sometimes my keypresses are not registered. As soon as I unplug it, the issue goes away. I had a TPU screen protector installed and tried it with touch sensitivity both on and off. Same problem.
Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks.

I have the exact issue with the touchscreen issue while wire charging. I am using genuine Samsung charger (from my S7Edge) and 3rd party good quality type c cable, facing touchscreen is slow to respond to my touch and sometimes not register, same as you, i have TPU screen protector installed and Exynos variant (Malaysia). It is starting to bother me now. Kind of disappointed with this issue
