Stock 2.3.3 camera geotag - T-Mobile LG G2x

Why is it since I got this g2x the stock and lg camera never used radio Geo loc... it only works with a solid GPS... my nexus1 worked flawless. Both eclair and Ginger. I'm confused and disappointed. The lg wont even do it unless you go through a bunch of swipes and taps and wont save it. The stock at least keeps geo tag selected and on my nexus stayed and tagged all photos with whichever was available gps or radio.
Anyone have any answers?

[Q] Has anyone gotten sound to work on CM6 yet?

So, I think I'm going to wait a bit before using CM7 as I'm having a bit too many problems (GPS being the main one since I like to geotag photos via GPSLogger). I figure I'll try CM6 but has anyone gotten sound to work on it with an Inspire?

I'm on CM7 and have GPS working. Have you tried GPS Status & Toolbox in the Market to get GPS to lock on?

I too question compatibility of cm6 with the Inspire. Not sure what's needed to get it running

Gingerbread Issues & Thoughts.

I hope the leaked 2.3.3 isn't final at all. Here is the issues I am having.
-Vibration is way too strong. Froyo felt perfect.
-Keyboard lag in SMS is horrible.
-Statusbar icons need fixed(Turning green when connected to Google & Data icons are still Froyo as well as headset/phone icon when headset is plugged in)
-Same kernel from 2.2.2.
-Possibly more.
-It would be nice to have screen off animation(CM7 will get it eventually).
I just feel like it needs way more work & I hope LG doesn't give the update like that.
What do you think ? Any other problems ?

Those plus I started getting reboots so I went back to stock.
I forget that the LG Camera was SO much better as well.

True story. I hope they include it in the final release.
The official release should have a new kernel along with it. I liked the leaked version but the reboots or "SoD" isn't too good.
CM7 is the only functioning Gingerbread rom good for daily use IMO.
CM7 is still not stable enough for me. LG needs to clean things up espically lag & vibration before release.

In my opinion coming from a HTC HD2 with a bad kernal that I messed up by flashing a NAND Droid sense rom or something it would reset the phone every couple minutes to hours.
I can deal with the random resets at least 3 times a day when I start an app.
I love this phone!
The only issue I have with this phone would be the 4g speeds I get that are just HORRID! I get like 180 kb/s!
I've been running eaglesblood gingerbread edition and I have no significant issues at all. EB, in my opinion, is definitely a daily driver.

I didn't say they were a bug deal. I love the phone as well. I just think anyone can agree that it would be better if the things I listed were fixed.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
Agreed.
I'm back on stock Froyo until something better comes along.
CM7 has too many bugs still (no AD2P, voicemail dialpad doesn't work, HDMI is buggy, external SD card is invisible, etc).
Eagleblood is very fast, but just as with the GB leak, the vibrate is too strong, the keyboard right side sensitivity is off, my GPS navigation was wonky, etc.

2.2 dark and sinister using gb stock baseband

Okay so thought I would give 2.2 dark and sinister another try since I miss a working lg camera. This thing runs great. Gps was an instant lock. Seems very stable. Wish we could get some weapon 2x features on this. Nice to have that lg camera working perfect again.

I'll have to give this one a try. I went back to Ultimate G2X (based on 2.2) for the same reason. Everything just works.

SE panorama camera app works in CM7

Hey,
I'm sure I remember reading about someone talking about it on our play forums, but don't think I've seen anyone confirm.
The hacked version of SE's panorama camera app works on the play -running CM7-
Link here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14976061&postcount=90
Tested / working on my R800x running CM7.
Edit: thanks to everyone who tested, looks like this currently will not work with stock SE firmware or Verizon's bloatware. Really makes me wonder what's different in CM7 that lets it work.
I've tried a number of panorama apps, and I have to say; its pretty sweet. Simple, straightforward, gets the job done, and works well. Makes me wonder why they refuse to include it as a stock feature.

nice works on stock Rom good find
edit: doesn't save pic after it's taken
Really? That's odd. Can someone on cm7 try? It's saving fine for me. attached a photo I took with it for yalls. Hopefully since it seems to work with cm7 something can be done to get it working with stock.

The link says that I should have the sideloading enabled.
How do I enable this?

Thanks but whenever I press the stop button, it does not save the picture
it won't save the picture for me either. Verizon stock 2.3.3
Doesn't save pictures on the stock rom. I also followed the thread linked to above; downloaded the original version from first page and flashed the panorama-fix.zip containing the necessary libraries. That doesn't work either.
It doesn't work on the stock roms, you'll be able to install it yes but it won't save the picture, it works perfectly on the cm7 roms cause I was using it alot and posted something about it over in general like 3-4 months ago but I got tired of using the cm7 roms cause the touchpads didn't work for 3/4 of the games I liked to play

2.3.2
it will work perfectly at firmware 2.3.2....
It's probably just trying to save the pictures in a directory that doesn't exist in the official firmware.
Where are the panoramas saved ?
I believe they are saved in a folder called panorama on the sd card

[Q] 4.0+ Sucks on my G2

Ok I'm going to try to provide as much information as possible in order to help me troubleshoot this issue. My computer is running windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I've got a tmobile htc G2. I bought it used off of a friend and it was previously rooted and IIRC it had 2.3.7 gingerbread on it? not 100% sure. Since then I've updated the Clockwork to 5.0 from 3.0 and I updated the rom to an ICS 4.0.3. I tried virtuous at first and I believe now I'm using virtuous quattro RC3. I don't know If I'm still in an early version or what but I hate it. My apps (mocospace) crash constantly, even from switching from portrait to landscape, even the browser version of mocospace. I even tried downloading opera and dolphin and the same thing happens. Also with youtube, when I watch videos, they are not videos, they are more of a slideshow, I've downloaded adobe air and adobe flash but the videos are still in frames. I'm looking for one of two things, A Stable ICS that will work on my G2, or to go back to a previous version of android that will work fine like it used to. this version on this phone is driving me nuts, I constantly have to power off/on my phone to reset a Blank homescreen issue, or the icons will be blurred. thanks in Advance! - Andy
Bump
Good God, Seriously?
If it sucks so bad flash something else. Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=758 and look for something that suits your fancy. *****ing in a general discussion section without using the search options will not get you any help. I stumbled upon this post on accident and thought "Eh, why the hell not". Qualcomm chipsets like those in the Vision and Glacier and most HTC phones don't have stable ICS yet due to driver issues. READ READ READ READ then READ some more then flash. Otherwise you'll be this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwleOote5M0&list=FLiSUReotYhEITuOWRb6Hb8w&index=11&feature=plpp_video
I was actually reading up on some different roms while I was at work tonight and figured I would try out both the Andromedus, and the CyanogenMods. I Do appreciate your help though, and [email protected] the video. When I bought this phone off of a friend it was already rooted and had 2.3.7 on it I believe, I just wanted to try out android 4.0. I'm guessing though like you say its still too early to find something awesome. I don't even mind this one so much except that it seems like itcant handle any graphical apps or procedures. once again thank you
Yea, the GPU on HTC phones doesn't have native ICS drivers yet. Good luck chief
