So, I think I'm going to wait a bit before using CM7 as I'm having a bit too many problems (GPS being the main one since I like to geotag photos via GPSLogger). I figure I'll try CM6 but has anyone gotten sound to work on it with an Inspire?

I'm on CM7 and have GPS working. Have you tried GPS Status & Toolbox in the Market to get GPS to lock on?

I too question compatibility of cm6 with the Inspire. Not sure what's needed to get it running

Hey everyone, just finished installing the 2.2 froyo leak and was wondering if anybody had tested the wiimotecontroller application with it.
I know previously, the incredible couldn't use this program due to problems with bluetooth stack but I wasn't sure if this update would fix it. Going to test it later on but was wondering if anybody had already tested it.
Were you able to test?
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
Yeah unfortunately the application doesn't recognize the Bluetooth
Lets hope Cm6 works out all the bugs soon.
Sent from my Incredible using XDA App
Well, supposedly any sense ui messes with the bluetooth. I saw a few people running CM5.0.4 on the incredible that were able to use the wiimotes.
Why in the world would sense ui affect bluetooth's ability and functionality?

Really? Oh well isn't CM 6 vanilla?
Man, this is a major bummer. I was really hoping it would work now. I like Sense a lot, and I use a lot of the Sense widgets, but I really want to use a wireless controller to play games on my phone. I guess I gotta use CM6, but I dunno if it's worth it. >:|
Hello all, let me start off saying that I just bought my first android phone ever. I tried to download apps for it using the "Market" app and the phone asked for my gmail account which entered. I have been able to download some apps I needed so far, but when I tried to search for the Netflix app, the one from Netflix Inc was not showing up.
So now I logged into the marketplace on my laptop using my Gmail account and when I try to install, I see an option to choose my device, when I look at the devices listed under my account, I just see a HTC Desire HD (which happens to be unfit for this app). So how do I get my device as Inspire 4G there gentlemen. I have never used a HTC Desire HD and have no idea why the marketplace is doing this.
Desire HD is same build like the HTC inspire.
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using XDA Premium App
Your Inspire IS a Desire HD (just rebadged for US) and that's what the market thinks it is. And as a side note, Inspire will not run netflix anyway (unless you've got CM7 build 77 or later I think).
Netflix isnt available in the market..... Yet

This is true
Apparently the update that's coming today for the TPGB ROM has netflix working as well (it's built off of CM7)
I don't get it. I just installed the device check disabled Netflix apk from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1076150) on a device that's a year and a half old (LG GW620 Eve) with less 238mb internal and can only be overclocked to 710mhz, and it's working fine. It's also running a CM7 based ROM released 5/14. Obviously our Inspire's are 10x more powerful than this, why doesn't it work?
Thanks guys. I just checked Netflix website for their supported devices list and found that HTC Inspire is not listed on it. As long as I am not the only one that cannot use it, I am good
Any chance Netflix is adding more android devices?

It seems that the stock Inspire and most of the derivative ROMs are missing a few libraries that implement the correct codec for netflix. I'm guessing a fix will be rather simple once the library files are figured out.

Right - being that it's working on CM7 and TPGB 0517 (according to testers), I can't imagine it will be long before all chefs are able to incorporate the proper files into their ROMs. The question is will there be an OTA update for non-rooted users to provide Netflix functionality, or is the Inspire just going to be forgot about?
I worry about the Inspire for the simple fact that it wasn't a groundbreaking device. Although it's an amazing device with which I would never want to part, it wasn't really offering anything new, which leads to my fear that it's going to be forgotten about by the bigwigs (HTC, ATT, Netflix, etc) before our devices have fully had a chance to shine...

It is my understanding, from all the tech sites, that Netflix is individually testing every single device. I think it has something to do with their version DMLA, or whatever it is. They will announce more devices eventually. They are just shooting themselves in the foot by testing each device one by one.

Can I go to the Desire HD ROM page, download and run those ROM's on my Inspire?

@David yes you can install dhd roms. Though you might have to install one of those audio fix like tinyaudio fix or turbo audio fix. If they are not allready included in the roms

I'm honestly not being a smarta** or anything but that was stated in several posts about 11 hrs and 30 min before yours. Keepin the thread goin is always good. Unfortunately around here in our forums I've seen several ignorant posters that cant seem to understand that the Inspire 4G is the Desire HD.
[Request] Can someone please make the sound on CM6 work on the Inspire? I understand the ROM was made specifically for the DesireHD before the Inspire hit the shelves. Supposedly the CM6 kernel is the problem. I've flashed other kernels and tried manipulating the sound scripts and haven't made any headway. I've got some serious "donations" waiting for the Dev. But it has to work.
Sent from my Inspire 4G that seriously wants CM6.
Just get cm7?

I prefer 6 over 7. After playing around with both I can't find any noticable performance difference for daily use. But I prefer the look of 6. I cooked the heck out of CM7 trying to find a good look for me but it didn't work out. Can't stand how blacked out and cheap the menus look.

It doesn't lag and you can actually use the physical keyboard without it hanging/pausing.
heh, the people in the hd2 section might be noobs but at least they don't ask rhetorical questions
Great work
Just installated....the process was very quick.Everything looks fine.I will come back after setting all my apps.
Interesting, I've been looking for a Sense ROM with low battery drain and decent speed, I'll give this a go.
I thought bluetooth was not possible to fix on G1 Sense ROMs?
PS. Hmm it has been sat at the HTC screen for over 30 minutes now. Is this normal?
Rom is stable and fast
but... don't work music player notifications and phone ring
Isn't this just another sense ROM

Ok I managed to fix the issue by superwiping and reinstalling a further two times... and it really isn't that fast at all, has crashed twice upon opening keyboard, not sure what to say about the ROM really. <-- fixed by rebooting phone once more as mentioned below.

Yes it is.
EDIT: After a second reboot following app re-installation it is nice and stable!
salute to the infinimod team.BIG THX for the multiple mirrors too, especially mediafire, good looking out! flashed, booted, currently running.moving stable, still has a bit of lag but am coming from the big bad froyobylaszlo, so that's what am comparing it to.lol took some stuff out, maps, stock, etc running better now.keyboard feels sweet, even with haptic feedback on.thx again.
Another error. There is no (some?) audio support, no ringtones work, no soundtrack on videos.
EDIT: "Battery Low" sound and dial pad tones work fine, so it's just the ringtones, notifications, and intermittent video audio tracks that are the problem at the moment.
And there's no way to connect it to the pc... :/
But it's stable.

I use multi mount SD for connecting to pc.
@Atomix86 & @Rushness
May I ask which devices you guys have?
One thing that may cause issues is not having the requirements stated in the OP. Make sure your sdcard is partitioned correctly and that you are on the new Radio and SPL.

I am using a T-Mobile G1, and have definitely got the new radio & spl combo as i installed them firstly to use cm6 2708 port then froyo by laszlo. Everything on the sd is partitoned correctly, i think the initial install problem was just a hiccup as it is definitely stable after i rebooted once more. Also im not sure why but the A2SDGUI app stated swap was disabled, is this just a display error or should i set it to on with the app?
Sorry if i sounded somewhat disappointed in my posts, just been after a near as perfect as possible sense rom for a while .

OK thanks, I'll keep on trucking with the ROM and give any feedback as necessary. I need to ask though, how do I go about fixing the audio issue ?
yeah am curious bout a resolution for the audio issue too.I use 3rd party app ttpod music player to listen music but still need other stuff like ringtone etc
Seems like this option is getting scarce with ICS roms with HWA. Is it just not possible or is it not baked in yet?
Any one with the capabilities to make a flashable mod to add this function, or even suggest an app that can do this; it would be greatly appreciated.
try pulling EVToolbox.apk from evervolv's ics and it should allow you to use it if its a similar rom....i think...if im wrong im sure someone will chime in but i know its worked on others i've tried but never tried it on decks if your sig is current so worth a shot
@Ben.nesheim
Your post got me thinking.....I wonder if someone could have multiple system apps from different ROMs on one ROM. Like gummy settings, ROM control from AOKP and EVtoolbox from drews build?
I would think there would be massive conflicts, but interesting to consider. Hmmmmm

Hmmm interesting idea. I'll give that a shot.
As far as bastardizing roms, I've had so-so luck. I got CM9 settings on decks and it worked great for a while, but then pretty consistent FC's, I'm guessing some conflict with having both settings active.
I tried pushing AOKP Rom Control on decks but couldn't get anything to happen.
