I just can't open LG WORLD app....
it keeps saying> PLEASE CHECK YOUR NETWORK CONNECTION... but, i'm not retarded, i have network connection, i use browser, all other apps, (via WIFI/3G, all work, except LG WORLD)
When I click on lg world icon, it starts loading, but then the error pops out. Does anybody else have the same problem??
thanks...
oh.... nevermind... close the thread, now i see that LG WORLD IS UNDER THE MAINTENANCE.... (i went on lg world on my laptop browser and saw the message)
sry for spam
It seems the maintanace is finished and when you open it now it asks you to update, but whenever it reaches 75% my phone reboots and the update stops.
Anyone else have this issue ?
Edit: After several tries i finally was able in update and install the new version BUT now when i open LG World it force closes and now i cant use it anymore
Edit 2: I uninstalled the update and then reupdated it worked fine this time and im telling you the new LG World looks so sexy !!

Hey Mate,
I'm having the exact same issue you did. Update doesn't complete and the phone crashes and reboots. Where did you find LG World to uninstall and reinstall? I tried looking in my uninstaller app but it wasn't listed?
What did you use?

Well i was persistent with the update, after about 7 attempts it finally downloaded and installed, but when it was installing it was freezing all the time,so after i rebooted and tried to open LG World it kept on force closing.I then uninstalled the update and then when i went to download the update again, everything went smoothly,it downloaded ok and installed ok,it even opened ok,no force close.
But now i have tried to install an app from LG World (Ennio Morricone) and i does the same,it keeps on crashing the phone around 70% mark.

What app did you use to uninstall it?
actually, any chance you could please post the apk file for the lastest version?
Never mind managed to fix it!
In case anyone wants to know:
I backed it up with Titanium Backup
Uninstalled it
Reinstalled it from the backup
then launched it and it updated fine
Could you do use a favour and see if you can download Ennio Morricone and then let me know as i cant do it..you can find it in LG Special ..thanks
I also after seeing this thread opened LG world and updated.
After the update the app would force close whenever I opened it.
Just go and clear/wipe data of the LG world app and it will work.

yes it is a common problem with some ROMs. you'll have to install Google maps directly using an apk file. search online or in this forum, you'll find Google map 4. 1. 1 apk

for more than a week now i tried to install SMS Enhanser from market..
it keeps downloading and getting 100% downloaded then stuck before installation... then it just starts to download again from scratch...
i tried more than once to cancel it but when i do market app crashes and restarts with again downloading sms enhanser!!
i got many other apps installed and removed since then but this one doesnt complete and cant be removed!!
any idea plz??
Just a question...are you running a MOD? I started having this problem when I began using Cyanogen.
From what I remember, I usually fix it by actually uninstalling the program...clearing the market cache...then installing program again.

This is a noobish question. We have a htc inspire 4G that's been stuck in a loop trying to update Adobe flash 10.3 and is using up data like crazy. There seems to be no way to stop it. Any suggestions?
Have you tried uninstalling it then reinstalling 10.2?

So you're saying that in market, you see that striped green progress bar indicating it's downloading/updating and it never seems to start doing anything/ finish?
If that's the case, I've solved that one by unchecking "update automatically," cancelling the download, back out a couple of screens, then to the apps page in market and push update.
That usually gets the download to actually start downloading, and finish.
I don't know if this will work in your situation. Please be as specific as possible when describing issues you are having. It makes troubleshooting much easier to do.
Thanks for your replies. We have tried uninstalling it, in both cases we get a progress bar that never ends. In the case of an uninstall it only allows us to uninstall the updates and says it is a system app as why.
It will not let us stop the download. We have tried stopping data connections and then uninstalling the updates, but to no avail. Even when the device is offline, the uninstall progress bar keeps going as if stuck in a loop just as happens with the install from market.
For the record, this is a completely unmodded device.
this happened to me also. i went to menu/settings/aplications/manage aplications/found the market app and then cleared cache and data. then opened app back up and proceded with the download. it worked for me

You'll need to stop the process on that screen first before you clear the cache. I've had to do this with several apps so it's a good workaround to be familiar with.
Thanks for the tips. This is what I did:
1. Put the device in airplane mode to stop the download.
2. Rebooted.
3. Went into settings/applications/manage applications and cleared the cache and data
4. Rebooted again
5. Returned to settings/applications/ manage applications and selected uninstall updates
Same result. It was stuck trying to uninstall.
Edit. Actually, it is worse than i thought. As a control i tried downloading an update from a different app after i stopped the Adobe flash update. - same result. Then i tried to download a random free app. - it won't download. Then i tried to uninstall an app. - it got stuck on the progress bar. So, the problem seems to be system wide.
Anyone ever heard of something like this?
My phone dosent want to update because at one point I was using TB and removed chrome from my phone and installed the app version from play store. Now when I go to update, it reboots into recovery, begins installing, then fails. When I check to see wy its not updating, it gives me a long string of numbers and letters and says .. chrome.apk .. and then it says update aborted.... so I was wondering if anyone knew a way I can fix this because I have a backup of chrome when it was a system app but when I install it, it still does the same thing.

Try rebooting after you're done and see if it did update. A few people have reported that the update said it failed, but when they rebooted the update actually did work. If that fails, then you can just update through RSD.

Yea, I've tried to update it tons of times and it keeps failing because of chrome not being a system apk. I did try the option on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33028928 but, realizing I was on 4.1.2, it failed again and since not using a nexus 7, I'm not sure it will work anyway. I could go with RSD but I was hoping there might be another way to fix it without wiping all the data.
So i rooted it, flashed nomoreota.zip.
I signed up for google play store with my same account as always.
I'm trying to DL and install file manager (or what ever it's name is) and root checker.
Neither of them are DL and or installing.
Than i get a message saying google play store app needs to be updated and same, it won't DL install.
I get the bars moving that shows something is suppose to be happening but it just sits like that bars moving nothing happening...
Any help plz. Thank you...
NVM it's all of a sudden started working.
I'm now updating everything.
The internet failed on it after that problem and reset the device and now it's accessing my router again.
God this thing is starting to act up.
My new tablet is flawless compared to the old one that's rooted and has supersu on it...
