Pretty much all in the Header...
My Focus, that is running Mango Beta 2 right now informs me today there is an update?
Anyone know what gives?
Update on the computer through zune says it is to ISV Beta 7712 ??
Yes...there is an update available for those running Mango..
This is an awesome update. From here on you'll skip loading the 7661 build and will go directly to 7712.
This update includes integrated Twitter and LinkedIN as well as some minor bug fixes. Please remember to keep a copy of your backup. The story is still the same that you'll need to restore to your backup before rolling onto the carrier's release of the software.
Feel free to hit me up with any questions.
Ken
No need to worry since we have 7004 ROM here (for 1.3 Focus only). The jailbreak was broken though ...

my hd7 get a update notice on zune. but i hesitate to do so.
because I have 3 email accounts in this phone, and i have a lot of applications installed. [i jailbreaked this phone with chevron method]
so here is my questions:
If i update my phone, do i need to re-configure all my email account?
and do i need to reinstall all applications?
Loaded Nodo 2 nights ago and didn't have to reload anything... This was on my Focus.
Same i updated last night and no wiping, I didn't want to flash a ROM for that reason, Too much BA to set up again tbh.
so you guy think i can do it?
i have my phone jailbroke, and i can either keep the jailbreak stutus or just jailbreak again using the tool?
try this before update

I have the Mango beta installed on my phone(LG Quantum), it crashes every now and then especially when I hit the BING search button. Today I slept and when I woke up and unlocked the phone and went on the app list, my phone has this neat feature to jump to the app letter you want(I know that doesn't make sense but it's exactly like it is with the contacts, hit the # sign and it brings up the alphabet letters and you can jump to whatever contact letter you want). I know it had the search feature(below the back button) from the start of the beta but I just saw this feature today. I haven't connected it to the computer or even fiddled with it it just randomly showed up on my phone. It's very neat and I love it, I'm just wondering if other people have it on their phones and/or what happened to make it just show up.
About.
Software: Windows Phone 7.5
OS Version: 7.10.7712.60
Is this the manufacturer? I thought it was coming out tomorrow?
build 7712 is mango beta build (Mango B2) and not the manufacturer version.
Updated my wifes HTC Arrive from NoDo to Mango via Zune official update. Everything appeared to be working, until I went to update HTC apps like flashlight, HTC Hub, HTC Photo Enhancer.
Getting error
"Marketplace error We're sorry, but we can't complete your request right now. Try launching Marketplace again. If the problem continues, check back in a little while, or try restarting your phone. Error code: 80320011".
or
If I try to get any HTC app from within that HTC Hub, the details pages for the apps are working, but there is a note present there "This app is not available for your device. Tap here for more info.". There: "App not available This might be because your phone software needs to be updated, the app is exclusive to a different mobile provider, or the app is not available in your region".
Rolling backto NoDo then will try to update again.
Anyone else having this issue with HTC?
Yes, they locked down the apps so no one can download them.

yeah but I also have a HTC Arrive that had the leaked RTM that got the HTC software update today, and all the HTC branded apps work on it just fine.

Yes, I'm having the exact same issue. Did the rollback then reinstalled official release through Zune, no dice. Sound Enhancer won't update, give the same error. All of the HTC updates worked fine with RTM 7720.
Using leaked HTC 7 Pro ROM, same problem - Error code 80320011. Can not install compass, can not upgrade Sound Enhancer.
By the way - is leaked ROM the same as official ROM, downloaded via Zune? Could someone with officialy upgraded 7 Pro write firmware numbers?
up to now I can't install/upgrade HTC apps.
HD7 NoDo to official mango.
Sound enhancer isn't in the marketplace any more so it's not going to update... Once I installed mango had to wait a like a day for all the apps to update (13 total). Oh and you can finally download connected media. There's no warning or error anymore

*new app* dock mode from HTC

yeah i couldn't install locations or dock mode installed
Check and see if you have "HTC Apps" when you go into Marketplace.
I've spent hours and tried different upgrade paths (7392 to official 7720, 7712 to official 7720, 7712 to leaked 7720 + HTC Update) numerous times, and it seems that I'd lose "HTC Apps" from the Marketplace at some random point. I can't seem to identify the pattern or reason but it's almost as if the phone loses its "identify" i.e. no longer thinks it's an HTC or something. A reset fixes the problem but then you lose the unlocked ability.
At the moment I'm staying with my unlocked 7712 backup (I know, somehow I decided to create a backup of 7712 which gives me one more option or upgrade path) to leaked 7720 + HTC Update. This is on Mozart T8697.
I downloaded dock mode but htc watch is not working, any ideas?

same here.. "HTC Apps" were gone in my marketplace.. weird because this is normal upgrade from NoDo to Mango and not using the force upgrade.
I'm using HD7.
Quote myself from another thread:
HTc Apps now work on my trophy!!!
After waiting 3 days, the App "attentive phone", which I had in my Applist since nodo, is now not longer in app list, but in my config menu. Since that, I can install the HTC DLNA App (in german: verbundene medien), too.
Now everything works nice, and i can say, the update force trick isnĀ“t a problem, it just took a few days....whatever

I havent got the mago upgrade yet, but cant update HTC apps either.
I have the same issue with my Omnia 7 !
When i upgrade 7392 unlocked to 7720 (Unlocked or Non-Unlocked), i lose my "Operator (ORANGE) App" category in MarketPlace but i have "Samsung App" category !
I can't acces to Orange App... and i can't update my app Samsung in Mango version (Now, etc...) --> Requiere a Samsung Device... lol^^ (i have a Omnia 7)
I don't have a way... and you ?
PS : with Mango Beta 7720 (RTM), i can instal this applications...
On Focus we're getting the Diagnosis 1.9.0.0 update.
Any other Samsung phones getting the update from Marketplace?
I'm wondering if this is another way of delivering the KK2...

I am wondering if changes made with a previous version will be retained after the update? Also, will there be access to all of the fields that were available in previous versions?
Ok, time to address some common misunderstandings:
Is this another way to get KK2?
No, that's quite literally impossible. Neither a running app, nor the app installer, can modify the ROM. KK2 is a firmware update, which is part of the ROM. The ROM can't be updated while the OS is running.
Is this going to revert existing changes?
No, that's incredibly unlikely. Hypothetically, it could make some specific changes, some of which (like setting MaxUnsignedApp to 10) might be bad... unless you're on a student account and you MaxUnsignedApp is supposed to be 3 (or something else similar). There's no way to just "revert" the changes though, short of forcibly hard-resetting your phone.
Is it going to break existing apps?
No. Interop apps rely on OEM drivers, which are in the firmware. As mentioned before, an app (or app update) is completely incapable of modifying this.
Is this going to break the ability to use WindowBreak and similar hacks in the future?
It's possible that it will, yes. All that would be required is to remove the user interface for sending provisiioning files to the driver. However, it's more likely that they will rely on the KK2 update to do that... although it's no guarantee.
since today i also have a notification on my omnia7 with v1.9.0.0.
not updated yet.
Propagating the info from Focus thread (thanks ZeBond):
The new Samsung Diagnostics app attempts to block GPRS profile switching (provisioning)
Works for me
I was already interop and WP7 Token unlocked, upgraded to 8107 by cab sender method, upgraded to current Diagnosis and *#9908# works for me and I can still sideload xaps.
The update showed up for me a few days ago but I haven't updated it yet.
Strange
I received the update on my Focus S (dev unlocked) and installed it. If I go into the diagnosis and put in #*9908# it closes the app... deleting it and and putting ##634# installs the old version. Ideas??
Yeah, don't install that update! Samsun have decided to remove that mode from the app. However, the original XAP (the one intalled via the dialer) is actually baked into the ROM of the phone, so removing the Marketplace-updated version and reinstalling the in-ROM xap gets you the un-updated version of the app...
I can't update my phone after installing the 7.10.7740 back in november 2011. Zune tells me my phone is up to date, but i know two other updates were released in 2012 including Tango. I also seem to have the IE tabs problem described earlier in the forum. What could be the problem? Any solutions? Thanks in advance.
BTW it's an unlocked T-Mobile Omnia 7 8GB
What method did you use to update? Have you ever done anything to "force" an update in any way? Some of those break future updatability of the phone. Also, have you ever messed with the DeviceTargetingInfo registry key? The values there control updating, and messing with them can (among other unpleasant things) break it.
There's a tool that can send the CAB updates directly to your phone, along with a list of the CAB files for download and info on how to use the tool, available on teh Dev&Hacking sub-forum. Be cautious if using this (make backups for sure) but it works for situations where there's no official update available.
I updated via Zune and never tweaked the registry. Could a hard reset help before trying custom ROMs?
If you inadvvertently applied any hacks, a hard reset will clear them. However, if you want to avoid losing data, you can certainly use the CAB sender to install updates directly. Just be sure you follow the instructions regarding language packs and such!
Well, I tried the hard reset and that got rid of the IE tabs problem. Oddly enough, battery life seems improved. Still not getting the updates, though. I guess I'll have to upload the CABs, but can I go straight from 7740 to Tango? Or do I have to flash updates in chronological order?
Better to update them in order. also be careful to install all the necessary language packs. Plus, there is some update for Omnia that locks the phone. Be careful of that too.
