So, on my phone I have a few folders and too often the just stop opening. I also have two shotcuts on the phone that work, but they arent folders. When you touch a folder it highlights but doesnt open. If you long press, you can move it around but never open it....
It seems the only way I can get this to work again is to reboot ... Has anyone else seen this issue?
What launcher are you using, rosie?
Yeah, its stock....

Anyone know how to move folders and apps from one Home screen to another. After my 2.1 updated software, the new home screen now contains more screens. At present I am using ADW.LAUNCHER. It is great but I thought a change. ADW has its own settings button and I can restore all my settings on that! I want to move all!!![/
The normal long click and drag sideways doesn't work ?
click n hold icon and simply drage it toward ur choice of screen (left or right) perhaps a little out of the screen, it should go to another screen. mine works like this.
hope it works
I just got my tf and am loving it! One thing Icant figure out is how to exit programs. I can go to the icon that looks like tow screens and that pulls up all of my open programs. I have notice sme have an exit button and some don't ( like YouTube) is there a way to exit programhat don't have a exit button in their menu?
Thanks
home button
only in windows you need to exit/close, android manages programs a little different but that is a topic that has been beat down to the ground.
You can back out of an application to the point it actually closes, the home screen leaves it cached under the assumption you may go back.
One thing to note is that even if you do close an app completely it will still show up in that app switching window. That is a list of recent apps, not what is active. Its assumed that recent apps were cached so its for quickly switching back to things you had open before.
Thanks, this makes sense
I have accidentally opened up a menu that I have never been able to do before (or again). I think I was long pressing something but I am not sure.
Anyways, at the bottom of the screen, there was what looked like a speech bubble with 5 icons inside of it. Looked a lot like the menu in ICS. I don't know how I did it and I have been trying to do it again. Anyone know what I am talking about?
Thanks,
Mike
Long press Home to bring up your most recent used apps that are stored in memory.
Has anyone else noticed the confirmation buttons are swapped around in ICS?
I'm talking about the ones that come up in the pop-up windows that say, "Are you sure you want to blah blah blah", and then you have "OK" or "Cancel".
In ICS, it's Cancel on the left, and OK on the right, whereas it's the opposite in Gingerbread and earlier.
It's just been annoying me. It feels weird still. :/
it also happens when trying to install a non-market apk 'done' and 'open' are swapped and i keep accidently opening apps =3="
It's really hard to get used to. I wonder why they decided to change it. :/
Hi guys
I have this very strange issue.
After doing some actions(settings or play store , i haven't figured out exactly what causes this) once i get at the home screen i find that an empty home screen is added. I have no way to remove it unless i place an app over it and then remove it, at this point the home screen disappears.
Anyone with this same issue.
PS. Perhaps its important, i have only one home screen with only apps and folders, no widgets.
