Has anyone else noticed the confirmation buttons are swapped around in ICS?
I'm talking about the ones that come up in the pop-up windows that say, "Are you sure you want to blah blah blah", and then you have "OK" or "Cancel".
In ICS, it's Cancel on the left, and OK on the right, whereas it's the opposite in Gingerbread and earlier.
It's just been annoying me. It feels weird still. :/
it also happens when trying to install a non-market apk 'done' and 'open' are swapped and i keep accidently opening apps =3="
It's really hard to get used to. I wonder why they decided to change it. :/

Hi,
I am just new to this pocket PC phone (just the old HTC Touch) and i tried out installing an IP Phone Keyboard program. When I wasnt happy about it, i uninstalled it but it messed up my SIP. The default standard input keyboard now is cut at the bottom (meaning i dont see the entire last row of Ctrl, space bar, etc.) but there's a black row appearing at the top of the input keyboard. It looks like the input keyboard was dragged down. Worse, the suggested words now appear at the bottom of the screen (where your normal Send or Cancel buttons are).
I really would appreciate your advise and help in getting this resolved. Dont know where to run to or whom to raise this to.
Thank you and looking forward to your response.

Restart your PPC. After that go to settings--> input---> select default input keyboard and try.
Hope it will help.
Are you using the default keyboard?
You can install any other SIP and it should work fine even if the default keyboard's having problems.
You can also hard reset incase you don't manage anything else.
I'm not aware of a bug concerning the default keyboard showing wrong except for something which goes away after a soft reset.
Thanks very much for your responses. Unfortunately, I did all that (set keyboard as default, try installing another keyboard software, soft reset and hard reset) but the problem still persists. I am almost in the vicinity of regretting why i had this PPC.
can you specify exactly which app caused this problem?
Hello, so I installed gbhill's 1.6 rom and I went to the market to download better keyboards. Once it was finished I went to setting options and selected to enable the better keyboards but I can't use them when the keyboard comes up. Is there something else I need to do to get this working?
Randomly, maybe you need to go to the keyboard settings and check mark touch input?
(I have no idea if it works but can't hurt to try)
Better keyboards works very well on thistle Rom. To get it going u just need to long press in a text field and select it. Assuming u have it activated in the settings
i love better keyboard with the android skin.
Yea i was a bit daft, they gave me clear instructions i didnt read. You need to hold the ?123 in the bottom left corner
I have an annoying problem with my text input suddenly forcing All CAPS for no apparent reason. I am using the dock and this happens when I don't even have the caps lock button enabled. this sometimes happens if I choose to capitalise a letter using the shift> letter command, after doing this it seems that all text is capitalized. Sometimes I am able to switch off the caps by deleting to the previous sentence where things were normal, but sometimes this won't work.
I'm using SWIFTKEY TABLET X if that makes any difference. Incidentally the capitalisation stated when I typed the capital x just before when I was typing SwiftKey. The capitals would not switch off until I navigated back to some lower case text and typed some stuff, but before returning to where I left off.
Super frustrating and can't seem to resolve it. Not sure if this is a SwiftKey issue or something that others using stock honeycomb keyboard are experiencing?
All help appreciated.
I noticed that same thing. It happens after I come out of sleep. I thought it was the cover resting on the shift key, but it even happens with the dock open.
Pressing the shift key once seems to fix it. I've got a B8O dock with a B5O tablet. The only other non-stock thing I have is WiFi off in sleep. How about you?
Think of the keyboard on the dock as an extension of the software keyboard you are using. In this case, what's probably occurring here is that you're hitting shift twice, and therefore putting the software keyboard into Caps Lock. Just hit shift again to return it to normal. Also, it really is a good idea to switch your keyboard to the stock on when you have the tablet docked.
I doubt I was double shifting (anything like double clutching???), but I'll pay more attention to this.
I was using the standard keyboard. I'll try using the Asus keyboard and see if that resolves the issue.
Anyone still having issues with this?
I am still having the problems, although the shift thing does resolve it a lot of the time.
Shame that ASUS decided to do nothing about this..... REALLY grinds my gears that the vast majority of companies just take the cash and run, and leaving behind a product that could be so much more.
Thankfully we have XDA.
Anyone figured out any way to change the launch buttons on the dock? Since I don't ever use the stock browser this button has become useless.
I have accidentally opened up a menu that I have never been able to do before (or again). I think I was long pressing something but I am not sure.
Anyways, at the bottom of the screen, there was what looked like a speech bubble with 5 icons inside of it. Looked a lot like the menu in ICS. I don't know how I did it and I have been trying to do it again. Anyone know what I am talking about?
Thanks,
Mike
Long press Home to bring up your most recent used apps that are stored in memory.
I imagine i have missed something simple, but since i have had my Moto G back the keyboard is different,
I'm missing the long press options for punctuation, the numbers are there but nothing else ?
The phone updated to latest after i got it back , factory reset then installing bits again but then noticed keyboard and cannot find options for this.
I have always used these long press keys and never installed anything extra or changed any settings so this is confusing, i have another 4.4.2 device and they are there on that too.
Has this been removed on Moto G now ? if so any suggestions for free replacement keyboard with long press punctuation ?
They are there, but they aren't indicated anymore. They seem to be grouped together like the bracket symbols. If they can be long pressed, when you long press them there will be "..." in the bottom right corner. I think you can reduce the delay before they show in the settings for the keyboard somewhere.
almost , but i got it now.
I was trying them anyway and they dont work , like for example i think 'K' was for ? , but it does nothing.
The point on the dots ... was spot on though , any key with options has them at bottom right - all your basic punctuation is under the full stop key . , hold it down and you can select .?!:",# which is actually better, just have to get used to it.
I guess this change came with the latest moto g firmware, i cant see anything on change log though.... https://motorola-global-en-uk.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/98313/action/auth
Thanks for the hint eastdata.
No worries.
I'm trying to wrap it around my head too. I couldn't find the "<>" symbols.
Thanks for the link, I didn't realize that the OTA was a free download.
