[I9003][Guide]How to completely un-root your I9003. - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

So, I realised there was guides on how to root our phone but not one on how to un-root(completely).
Here it goes.
1)Your phone must be rooted.
2)Download Z4Root(Note that you should never root your phone with z4root)from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833953
3)Install Z4Root on your device.
4)Download SuperOneClick from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682
5)Settings>Applications>Check Unknown Sources(In your phone)
6)Settings>Applications>Development>Check USB Debugging
7)Open SuperOneClick(Make sure that you have all of your device's drivers installed on your pc)
8)Click 'Driver Check'(Just to make sure there is no issues with your drivers.)
9)Open Z4Root and click un-root.(On your phone)
10)Connect your phone to your pc.
11)In superoneclick, click un-root.(Ignore if it says you do not have superuser at the end)
12)Unplug your phone from the pc.
13)DONE!!
Optional: You may install a app from the market called root checker(Free) to check that your phone is completely unrooted.
The main purpose of me posting this guide is because if you just un-root your device from superoneclick, it will only uninstall root and not busybox(also known as incomplete un-root). This guide will help you completely unroot your device(Uninstall both root access and busybox).
I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone but will help you with all my knowledge.
You may post any enquiries below or any other thing you would like to see in the future.
Hit the 'Thanks' button if I have helped you out.

U can also do this by super one afaik.

Great guide and you deserve your first thanks although I haven't tested it..

@jcbalunsat
Did you read the whole post? Un-rooting with super one click would only remove root access but not busybox.

Thanks ephraim033.

Can someone kindly please test if this works. The so far I only tested this on 7 devices. It worked though.

This is for people who do not have cwm and do not want to risk of soft bricking their phones with cwm, but anyways your guide is good as well buddy.

great
i tested it and it worked, thanks soo much !!

Talking about Gingerbread, how will one root it?
SuperOneClick is not working for me.
So for me cwm or cf-root is the saviour.
So if I use cwm or cfroot, then I will probably remove root via cwm.

pls no unroot in z4root coz i cant find it

it works great but :good::good:,, it doesnt remove cwm and tweaks..??
how to remove them both.?

[Root] gingerbreak.apk (easy root)

For everyone like me thats having trouble with Super One Click freezing during root, you can also root your phone by installing GINGERBREAK on your phone.
Gingerbreak.apk can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1044765
1. Download the latest version from your phone or PC.
1a. If you download from your PC, adb install or just copy to your sd card.
2. Make sure you have Unknown Sources and USB Debugging checked in Settings>Applications
3. Browse to the file using any file explorer and install.
4. Open the app and just click ROOT.
5. Let it do its work and reboot. Once back up, you will be rooted
ENJOY
Devs if this has already been posted and i missed it, feel free to remove or close this thread.
Has anyone had success using this on G2X? I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere or on the gingerbreak thread. Thanks.

It looks like you got the update just fine (you must not have had voodoo lag fix).
Do you still have root?
You're now at stock EE4. If you're happy with it, great! If you want root again, you'll need a new kernel. Check this post out:

Ignore his post!
To Root:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S/SGH-T959V/Rooting
I recommend going to this link: http://shortfuse.org/?p=193 - to download SuperOneClick v2.3.3 as it is the current version and not attached in the link above. However, you should go to the link above and read up on SuperOneClick. I have not heard of any risk involved with SuperOneClick as long as you read and follow directions. And BE PATIENT with it.

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.
Redd I know you want to try and help but that is not even close. This guy is looking for an easy way to root.
Alex you can either follow Lumins link for root or learn to use ODIN or Heimdell to flash a kernel that has root and clock work mod. I know this is a lot to take in. CWM has many advantages over simply rooting your phone. Such as custom ROMS that already have most bloat removed thereby freeing up tons of space. Either way you decide to go just read whatever you can and be patient with the learning curve.

Thank you all! Thanx Lumin30... it worked great... only question I have is what's the easiest way to uninstall bloatware? I tried using ex file explorer because it stated in the app market that it has a feauture to uninstall sys apps whenever rooted but it clearly doesnt.
THANX SO MUCH!

People have their favorites. I use System Rom Toolbox from the market. I find it easier than TB and others. When you go into 'Remove System Apps' hit menu and select 'All System Apps'.
Wow thanx again!!! What a great help man! Can u give me any tips on what are the safe bloatware to remove.. because long time ago I read somewhere u can cause system problems removing certain apps?

You can still follow my debloater for reference (Click on the link in my forum signature).
I recommend you use a CWM kernel anyway since you'll have ext4 support which should give your phone a nice speed boost too.

Rooting a no name device?

So I have a android tablet, one of those cheap crap tablets from the 2011 tablet craze. Its called a skytech primer pocket. I want to root it to remove stock garbage they included on it. So how would I do this considering that its a device that isn't really known?

Now on every android device what ever it was it Must have a boot loadre
So power off your device and hold down volume down then power button

Don't say z4root won't work, it never works unless you're on eclair. I'm saying you can't make a post simply stating something doesn't install on this forum, you gotta at least say "when I try to install it says 'application not installed'" or the like.
Like I said before, you shouldn't expect it to work anyways, so why make a post saying it won't work? Don't tell me how was I supposed to know that, because googling z4root will yield you some results from 2 or 3 years ago.
I also suggested you try unlock root and superoneclick, because the poster before you said to try superoneclick as well and my translation of your post was that you chose to ignore that suggestion.

thanks for replaying
btw i was almost sure z4 wont work
cuz when i first bought my htc evo 3d
i started to search for easy ways to do and failed
so boom went to hard ways
and then i become an expert in evo 3d
first thing was hard to me l0l unlocking the bootloader hehe
then i moved on
it was hard as hell
and some times i get errors and stay hourse on google trying to figure out how to fix them
so then i started my channel to let the people know what i know
some day i flashed a kernal for cdma on a gsm phone
phone won,t boot and i kep trying and trying but i finaly i found and created a video about how to fix it(how to flash boot img)
And finaly guys i knew that easy ways are bad
they are easy cuz the don,t do well
Hard work always give results
easy ways don,t
every time you wan,t to post a question make sure to have full details
like we all do in xda(iam new)
paste your full details please

There should be a very small chance of brick, if any. But don't forget that if you make a backup, even if you brick your device, it will be no problem!

Yes, you'll need CWM, which stands for ClockworkMod. And no, you don't necessarily need root to get it, as it's really just a replacement for your current recovery mode, except it has more options.
Run a Google search with the terms "sph-l300 cwm". :good:
