It seems Autodesk finally released Sketchbook Pro for Android, yet when I view it in the Market it has been listed as incompatible with the Transformer. Is it still possible to download and install it anyway?
Edit: Updating to 3.2 seems to have fixed it. I'm not sure exactly what was causing it to appear to be incompatible in the first place.
This app helped me discover a fatal flaw in the Android Market refund process:
You cannot initiate a refund from the Market website. Here's how this was a problem. I saw Sketchbook Pro on an Android news site which linked to it's market page on the web. It said it was compatible with the Transformer so I purchased it. Turns out, Autodesk has the filters enabled so it will only be shown as compatible with Honeycomb 3.0, and it's filtered out of the market on HC 3.1 devices. Since I just got my TF that night, the market still thought I was running HC 3.0 and said compatible. I had literally JUST gone to Prime 1.5 (HC 3.1) about 30 minutes earlier. I went on the Transformer and the app was not in My Apps. I cleared Market data, same result. I searched for the app and could not find it. Had a friend check their HC 3.1 Xoom and they couldn't find it either. I came to the conclusion about the filters. I discovered all this well within the 15 minute refund window, but since I could not locate Sketchbook within the market app itself, I could not ask for a refund. I had to petition Autodesk for a manual refund.
Google needs to allow refund requests from the Market website!!
your case is really really unusual and involve custom rom flashing, it feel a bit wrong to complain. Then gain, why not ?
anyway sketchbook pro works perfectly fine for me on stock 3.1 and I downloaded it from the tablet market last saturday (the day it was first release) It s curious you cant see it from prime.
I'm running a custom ROM as well. It seems strange that of all the apps that require Android 3.0 and up, only SketchBook Pro throws a fit if you're found to be running a custom ROM. Perhaps they'll fix it soon.

Come Adobe your attempt to micro manage every company that uses your SDK is getting annoying.

I guess that's good they are trying to get a working version out. Perhaps with Android 2.3
I think it is kind of the same thing as having Android on a tablet right now at all. The mfgr's are in a hurry to put out a product. Google has said that Android 2.2 is not made for tablets but mfgr's did it anyway. Adobe hasn't released an official Flash yet but the mfgr's want to be able to advertise there stuff as being Flash ready.
I can understand Adobes position because even though we can do Flash right now it is definitely not perfect. Not like on your PC. I hope they do come out with a version that actually works as well as the PC version. Until then, I am OK with what we have, and I am sure the Advent owners will be too...
"the plugin had not passed Adobe’s certification".
Now, what does that mean, exactly? Assuming this is the same gles version we've all been running, and if it's the same one that VS is about to release on the 19th does that mean they have to kill that update? I hope not.
I've never been very satisfied with the flash we are running. If someone is up to tinkering, would you go to cbs.com and try playing one of the David Letterman episodes and tell me if it stops and starts for you? I sometimes get the "!" error message as well, which I suspect means Flash just blew up memory. I've tried DolphinHD and the browsers in Tnt Lite and VEGAn. They all act about the same. I've run speedtest from the g tablet and I get ~1.48Mbit download speed over my wireless...which should be enough IMO. Was there anything about that stagefright setting that you think I should change?
Has anyone gotten Order & Chaos by Gameloft to work?
I took took the apk off of my SGS2, added all the extra downloadable files, and used CF3D Nvidia plug-in. I can start the app, but when it tries to download the extra files it says my device is incompatible and gives an option to proceed. When I click Okay it just closes out.
Anyone have it working or have ideas on how to get it to work? I really want to enjoy this game on my tab.
Thanks
Just a quest, are you able to find this game in Play Store by searching from the Tab?
If answer is NO, it's pretty easy that this one is really not compatible with Honeycomb based device.
You know, I have had lots of experiences such yours. I bought the first Honeycomb device in the world last year (Motorola Xoom), and I have had soooo many issues like yours who let me hate this OS. I even changed build.prop device name to bring Google Market to let me download some thing they run, but then... They crash!
Fortunally I got soon ICS and everything is different right now. But you cannot pretend to run an app which is just not compatible with your device platform
Sent from my Galaxy Note with DarkyROM 3.3
It won't show up if I search for it but it shows up as not compatible if I directly link to it in the market. I've never had any success with Chainfire3D with other game in the past but I hear it works for other. I was hoping there was some way around the problem using it.

Its a paid app...
And I don't think it is ICS only. Its compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S2, which is officially GB. I'm not positive though because my SGS2 is one of the new ICS Roms.
Confirmed Honeycomb incompatibly.
On my Galaxy Note with custom Gingerbread
On my Motorola Xoom with custom ICS
On my P6200 with Honeycomb
You can just edit build.prop device name and you should be able too start the game but it can bring you some issues

Working! Runs great from the few minutes I have played so far.
I've never messed with the build.prop before, but I gave it a shot. I changed
ro.product.model=GT-I9100
ro.product.name=GT-I9100
ro.product.device=GT-I9100
ro.build.product=GT-I9100
I didn't change
ro.product.board=GT-P6210
I started changing one at a time cause I was scared (first build.product, then product.device, then product.model and product.name)
Is this going to mess anything up?
I've great solved my problem with this thread, but...
Now with 1.1.3 version I can't follow same way...
Tablet tell me that "licence is invalid", I bought game in old girlfriend tablet (gt-p1000, my ex-tab) with my account but he wont work now...
Any suggestion? Thanks, regards.
Just bought the transformer today. It has jb preloaded. It was extremely laggy. Google search took several seconds to start etc. I returned it and got a new one. It's currently charging so I haven't set it up. Is this a common problem or did I just get a lemon? Thanks

i only had the stock rom for a few hours but as i recall it wasnt real slow. but i can attest to the fact that this tablet runs twice as well on clean rom 3.0.3
well this 2nd one is just as laggy. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 I returned in favor of this was faster.
Try doing a factory reset. See if that makes it better. Also, the pad suffers from a bad I/O. Currently the only way to make it fly is unlocking and installing custom ROMs and kernels.
I'm seeing blank pages with "loading" written on them in google play books.
So, this thing is unusable unless I root/rom?

Well tbh ive never owned a android, apple or windows device i didnt customize, overclock, ect. It just makes for a better machine. But in this case if you have done the jelly bean update keep in mind you WILL lose your warranty when you unlock your bootloader. Good luck man.

Oh I'm no stranger to ROMS or rooting, and this thing came with Jellybean. I've just never seen something be so unusable out of the box.
Did you try factory reset?
Yes. No difference.
It sucks to hear its not running smoothly man! maybe it has to deal with a hw problem itself? i was between buying a kindle fire, a nexus 10 and this tablet, im not new to flashing and such either, my tablet came with stock jellybean, it ran smoothly since the first boot!, i unlocked it for the fun of it but I had no need, im very happy with the tablet.
maybe you should return it or try another one? maybe theres a problem with the one you got
I've not installed any custom roms, so I don't have them to compare it to, though stock rom seems to work smoothly for myself. I don't find it lagging or slow, so maybe a fresh install will help?
The only other device I use that has Android is a Galaxy S2 and the Asus TF300 feels much quicker and responsive.
I have googled my balls off and searched XDA but I have found surprisingly little info on how to get Amazon streaming video to work on the Infinity. I am an Amazon Prime member and when I signed up, I wanted to check out the streamed content. It works fine on the PC but I use my tablet more. I am running JB 4.1.1 and I have sideloaded the latest, though unofficially unsupported Flash player, but Amazon's Instant Video website still says I dont have it. I have tried several browsers and user agents. There is another forum on XDA discussing that and some are getting it to work (with some lag issues) and some, including me, are not. Even if it did, it would only be in low-res from the website. "HD compatible "only runs on certain devices (as if the Infinity can't handle HD). I bought my kids a Kindle Fire HD for Christmas, so I tried it on that and it ran great streaming Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol in HD very nicely. So it seems there should be an apk I can pull from it and load on the TF700, right? Both tablets are rooted, so I used Titanium Backup Pro to backup the Amazon video app from the KFHD and Dropboxed it to my TF700 and restored it. I ran it but it force closes; doesn't even initialize. Does anyone know how to get the app to work as it does on the KFHD? Or is it because the KFHD runs Android 4.0 and it just wont run on the TF700's 4.1.1? It is irritating not to be able to have this work on the Infinity and, if it can work at all, I want it in high-res, so I need it to run as if it was a KFHD. I am still playing with it but any ideas?
Is it only prime users who have this service? Are you rooted or unlocked at all?
I have had no problem streaming amazon video on my Infinity. I'm rooted/unlocked and on CROMI. I paid for a few episodes of "Breaking Bad" I wound up having to buy them again through google play however. The streaming worked perfectly through Amazon however it would not let me download for offline playing unless I was on an actual Kindle. Google Play allowed for offline downloads so I stuck with that. To answer your question though, streaming from Amazon worked well for me.
I just tried it for the first time, TF700 totally stock, Flash side loaded, Amazon Prime member, it played Upstairs Downstairs using the stock browser just fine.

I am rooted. I have not unlocked the bootloader and dont plan to. I have no luck with various browsers, even playing with permissions. My kids KFHD play HD vids really well. I think it is a combination of "stock" apps but IDK which ones.

I got the standard def with the stock browser at least. Idk why I got "flash is missing" on the others. I just cant get the Amazon Instant Video app to run as on the KFHD though. I cant pin down what I am missing, unless its bc I run the latest version of android, which the app doesnt support. Maybe its just that but Idk how to find out.
Hi
Just recently I fixed the notorious bootloop issue on my tf101 and flashed the stock rom. However, it doesn't let me log in any google account. Even created one through the tablet and still didn't work. Anyone has a solution? Perhaps it needs newer android rom?
As I want to use it as navigation in my car, I believe it won't charge via anything else than its original adapter, which I cannot plug in my car. It does charge while it's turned off with any other cable, only it is very slow. If anyone has charged it in their car, please let me know.
Must point out I have very little experience with flashing software so please excuse my silly questions.
Thanks in advance
(pic for attention)
I recently bought (and paid way too much) for a TF101 running Android 4.0.3 (AKA ICS) and have run into the same issue. Are you detecting my buyer's remorse? As usual Google has abandoned this older version of Android. It appears that IF you can Root your tablet, install SuperSU and TWRP 2.8 something something then you can install KATKISS 6 something which is Android 6.0.1 which Google hasn't totally abandoned (at least not yet) apparently.
It seems the key to everything is being able to attach your TF101 to a Windows PC (which my basket case TF101 can't do because it's batteries won't charge) so you can run an ICS root batch file on it. There was a APK root tool at one time called Baidu Root that you could run directly on the TF101 but every bloody link on this site for it is dead and whatever you do; do not download the so call Baidu Root APK from APKPure! It is a trojan horse that has tons of stupid scam advertising redirects in it, information phishers and has the nerve to tell you have to wait for at least 2 hours for the root to occur but they will do it faster if your click the link below and give them 5 stars. What a load of BS!
As you can see I've about had it with my TF101 and am looking for a way to get $75 back that I paid for it at the thrift store. It is a cool looking tablet but looks like it way past it's best before date.
what about this site?https://baidurootapk.net/
It's a cool tablet indeed but as I got an old version of google maps and waze working on it. It seems it can't handle them it's very laggy like 3 fps. Tried them through the browser and still the same. Also opened YT in the browser....it works but.... Really doubt getting Linux on it will significantly improve its performance but worth giving it a try
