USB Keyboard/Mouse - G Tablet General

I know Honeycomb can support usb devices such as keyboard and mice but what about older versions? Does Gingerbread support them? I couldn't find a real answer on this.

[FREAKING OUT] Multi-touch keyboard on Froyo 2.2

Guys, I am freaking out, Droid 2.2 update was released today...can some one pl port multi-touch keyboard to Evo??
Sorry, never made a freak out thread!
It's been done for a few weeks now. I don't have the link in front of me, but i know i found it somewhere here on xda.
There is 2.1 multi-touch keyboard which worked well on 2.1 Evo but does not work on 2.2.
Are you referring to this?
Multi touch keyboard has been ported....hurrah!

[Q] Wiimote controller on Thunderbolt?

Has anyone successfully gotten any of the Wiimote controller apps to work on their Thunderbolt? Supposedly all of these apps are not compatible with HTC Sense, but I wonder if it would work with a non-Sense ROM (or deSensed version) out there. I'm running BAMF 1.6.2 and loving it, but would like to try playing some emulators with a wiimote.
Thanks.
I'm running CM7 and it works great! Caution, though, CM can be a bit quirky at times. May not be for daily use.

It will work with aosp roms like cyanogen. Non-sense roms are still sense based but with rosie and HTC apps removed. It won't work on any of those

what's there to kid about. many phones can connect to the wii mote. search the market. there are a few app that accomplish syncing a wiimote to android. unfortunately the wii mote is not compatible with the Samsung bt3.0 stack. cm7 is bt2.1 and fixes that problem.

Ok sorry I didn't know you 2 are kids, because I can't see adult using this on a smartphone.

umm wii mote + hdmi+ smartphone + sega emulator = portable entertainment and a way to make friends envious. it is a common request actually and its great for travel and parties (my friends are geeks-hence me frequently visiting a cell phone forum) and it is great especially if you have kids or a nephew (I have 2 nephews)
This sounds awesome. Any other non-conventional devices connect to the phone?

well the wii mote doesn't work on the infuse(works on most other androids) , but you can use a standard mouse and keyboard to game and navigate the ui. there are some game controlers that work but I can't remember which ones. search the sgs sections if you are interested.
Awesome, keyboard/mouse would come in handy considering these come with HDMI adapters, tomorrow will be a fun day. Lol

Anyone know of a way to change the Bluetooth stack manually because I had it working on cm7 captivate........
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
CM7 uses "googles bluetooth stack which is why it works. This might point someone in the right direction as I have no idea on how to change it.
On all non AOSP kernels the "Bluez" Stack has to be cooked into it. It's tougher than..., well I don't want to mention it.... and easier done with CM which is based off of AOSP.
Same with Sense roms as well, which is why I had such a hard time bouncing between AOSP and sense roms when I had my N1.....
Plus with our HDMI output, wouldn't it be just as easy to use the onscreen buttons on the phone even though there will be an overlay on the main screen...?
Well I got it to connect to my Infuse (and Touchpad). All the keystrokes are detected. Only problem is that they don't translate in N64oid or Tiger Snes--as if they aren't working.
Anybody find a workaround?

Most emus with external controller support have the option to disable the controller overlay. Doesn't do you any good to not have the overlay without external input though, but I have tested this via HDMI output on the *-oid emus
havent tried wii mote, but i have successfully connected a ps3 controller & used it with psx4droid & snesoid

MHL Adapter?

Just picked up an Infuse from Rogers...no MHL adapter. I thought it was supposed to come with one? Anybody?
If I'm understanding correctly, it's because the Rogers Infuse doesn't support hdmi.
Sent from my Infuse using my fingers.
I hope not! Thanks for the reply!

AT&T units come with an adapter and MHL support in the firmware.
Rogers units do not come with an MHL adapter, and all traces of MHL support are removed from the firmware.
That's why we still don't have MHL for Gingerbread (Even after re-enabling it in the kernel, userland part is still missing), and there's a good chance we won't until AT&T releases GB.

I have infused rom installed does that mean mhl does not have the firmware to function any longer?

If you mean Infused 2.x - yes - MHL will not work until you downgrade to a Froyo ROM (such as Infused 1.x) or AT&T releases Gingerbread and devs have time to integrate the update.
Yes infused 2.1.0, I really want to stream netflix mhl to sam hdtv. Hope gb debuts soon!

Wireless bluetooth Controller for the sensation?

Hello everyone, i tried searching on the search bar to see if anyone have posted on this, but couldn't find anything. Was just wondering if anyone here successfully got wireless controller working on the sensation. It works on the Gnexus, and i can confirm this as my friend plays games using the controller! cheers~
If your rooted just download sixaxis controller. If not and you have a Wiimote laying around give that a try. When I had my sensation, wiimote worked great for emulators and ok for some android games. Just some though..
Update: almost forgot, I used wiimote controller from the play store, it's free.

You can't connect any BT controllers like DS3 or WiiMote due to BT Stacks that comes with Sense.
