Hi all,
I'm on Humble 1.42 and things have been fine with the ROM. But last night I began getting a bunch of FCs against Google Services Framework. It slows down the phone something fierce.
Anyone know could be the cause of this? And more importantly, how to fix it?

I am on gummy charged froyo and I started having the same thing happen yesterday...
Strange...
This happend to me a few weeks ago. I found a thread that discribed a process of shutting off all account syncs, then clearing data on email, contacts, and calendar the resync everything and it worked great! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=792691 Try that link. I read somewhere that it could be more than contacts thats why I did all of them. You could loose some data if you do this. I didn't.
Nope, wiping data didn't help. I am still getting FCs on a regular if random basis.

Wipe all data, and caches. Reflash rom and that should fix your problems. Also if your trying to use google voice search ive noticed that all the roms fc on that. To fix that go into market download google search and use the new widget and that solves that issue. Hope this helps.

Hi.
Major issues with Market. Nothing downloading. Just the bar and starting download message.
Tried force stop, cache cleaning, reboots. No joy.
Ideas?
After new FB and Twitter apps.

Same problem with galaxy s, instaling app for 3 days now . can't stopit.
i've had this issue quite a bit on my incredible. usually cures itself by switching from wifi to 3g or the other way around. whichever you're on right now, try the other one.
Done that Mike. No change.

Go to applications market and uninstall updates.
Works fine here....
No updates to uninstall for the Market. Came as is.
I switched from Dinc to Droid X recently and encountered this problem pretty much out of the box. I believe I ended up clearing cache or data from the Gmail application and then Market downloads started to work correctly.
I just went to update an app that i have and Market Force Closed.
still downloaded ok though
I have a funny feeling this was an all around Android Market issue for many people... I had it too but now it seems to have cleared up...
You could try Titanium backup and the clear data option after tapping the market app.
It worked for me
my fix for this exact same problem (as described in the OP's first post) was to factory reset my phone (galaxy s) and log in using the @googlemail.com extension to my google email address instead of the usual @gmail.com
if that makes sense.. search google for a few other threads floating around with people who solved their market download "stalling" with this fix..
might be worth a try for you anyway.
I just flashed Cog 2.3b6 and when i try to download an app it tells me that it will start but they never do... Anyone with this problem?
Yep. Problem here. Not sure why.

Its a problem on googles side. A lot of people on different roms are having an issue
Posted from my Captivate running Perception build 3 with SetiroN's SuperOptimized kernel
I was running on Cog 2.3b2 and never had this problem.
For some reason it started working again, let's hope it's stays that way.
I've tried 3 different roms thinking it was the rom
Go into settings, applications, manage applications, go to market and uninstall updates. That should fix the problem.

I'll give this a shot tomorrow morning and post results. I did "update all" to a bunch of apps and it effectively uninstalled them. Now I gotta figure out which ones they were. Kinda had this problem on Cog 2.4.1, but really bad on 2.3b6. Makes sense if it is an app issue.
It's definitely a server-side outage apparently: http://www.androidcentral.com/late-night-market-woes-youre-not-alone
ok... it didn't stayed working... it keeps coming and going... sometimes they download and sometime they just crash...
What's the downside of uninstalling the Market Updates?
because u are using the same android id a as everyone else with that rom. Change your android id back to your original id. Its been posted before, just research forums on how to find chane and restore android id
Reverting the Market updates worked for me. I got 4 or 5 FCs in a row without it actually updating anything (just uninstalling it) and when I removed the Market updates it worked perfectly the first time.
Gtalk
Just log into Gtalk and it should work. YOu gotta be logged into Gtalk for it to work. This isn't like 100% true, sometimes it may be logged in but the app isn't running or whatever.
BUT, if the market doesnt download apps, log into Gtalk, and then it should work
Stop the download and then re -start it. Works for me

Even after using the fix market links option in titanium backup (which finds none missing) the market application still doesn't recognize over 100 Apps on my device. Any recommendations? Running Th3ory of ginger rom 3.51. Hard to know what updates are available if the apps installed aren't recognized by the market.

Nobody else has this problem?
Try going to settings and apps and clearing market data and cache.. it's a stretch but it might work

Thank you for the response. Attempted to do this, however clear data and clear cache are both grayed out. Apparently this isn't even an option with the market app.
Any other ideas?
Anybody? I can't believe I'm the only one with this problem!

I had this problem earlier. When I rebooted the phone they weren't grayed out anymore. After clearing the data and cache my apps showed up
i have this problem too. i will give the above a try and give feedback.
Well, I don't know why, but the only thing that I found that fixes this aside from a reflash is to use the mybackup pro application's fix market links, reboot twice, and all fixed. So, if anybody else has this problem, give this a shot and tell me if it worked for you too. Kinda pissed that titanium backup couldn't fix it but mybackup pro could. I paid for TiBu
I just flashed my ROM to cm9 from cm7 and installed the google apps package.
When I log in open Android Play (same account), and go my My Apps, all my previously downloaded apps and purchases are there still there, but none of them say 'PURCHASED'. They now list the purchase price of the app. Essentially, it's not recognizing I purchased any of my apps.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
EDIT: If I go on my computer and visit https://play.google.com/store, My purchased library still exists and I am able to install it via send to phone.
So really, it's a matter of inconvenience.
I read an Engadget article saying this is happening to a ton of people and Google is aware and working to rectify it.

Try going to manage apps and deleting app data for play store. That has worked for me in the past.

Yes Google is aware of this and best thing to do log out your gmail account clear data then reopen/sign back in. But if that doesn't help you'll have wait till Google updates

It seems to have fixed itself. Maybe there was just some server delay recognizing my phone.

It usually starts working again if you reboot.

Does anyone know why after updating to ics on at&t, I get this error sometimes (look at attached pic)? Phone is stock and never rooted

Have you tried rebooting? This is hard to fix without root. Also go through and clear the caches for all of your google apps (Gmail, Maps, Gtalk, etc) by going to Settings - Apps - All. Hope this helps.
