Since I updated, I have not received a call. Not very unusual, especially for a busy weekend. But I woke up this morning, and tried to make a call, nothing. Then texted a friend to call me, nothing.
The last phone call I actually remember making was just prior to the update. So now I'm backtracking...and trying to get to a rom that will let me make calls.

Is your baseband gone perhaps? Settings -> About Phone -> Baseband Version
Patience is a virtue... couldn't you just waited a bit before diving in and updating baseband... i want to try it but after reading a couple of posts I'll wait a bit, running old baseband+fits+faux= +20 hrs, smooth, fast n stable...

I had something similar briefly.
What happened to me was that I was not getting txt msgs.
Rebooted the phone and got the txt messages I had missed.
I quickly flashed CM7 after confirming that the new baseband works with CM7 and it's not happening anymore.

Yeah....I rebooted and factory reset...no change....then flashed back to stock....and it appears everything is working.....
Do a wipe, including internal SD.
Start fresh.
And see if it still happens.

So my thunderbolt has been overall great but i have this problem where if someone calls me they cant hear me but i can hear them and i can hear myself in my own speaker. is it a setting problem? i also flashed the latest radio for GB on the Infected Synergy Rom.

I've literally had that same issue on almost every device I've used on Verizon and Alltel at some point. Some areas it's happened a lot in, other almost never. I'm hesitant to say it's the device because of my experience. I think it's something quirky with the network. For me, if I just call them back it works fine. It used to happen almost every time I called my Mom. Second call was a charm though. Then it mostly stopped... about the time she got off that damn Motorola and onto a BlackBerry... but it still happens occasionally.
yeah =[ ive never had this problem though and its constantly doing it because i was originally on cm7 but it started to i flashed another rom and it worked for a couple of calls at first but now no calls go through and im afraid to call verizon since im rooted but idk what to do =[ thanked you btw

eh.... I've called them with issues on both my rooted HTCs. It's never been a problem. I've talked to guys there about their rooted Androids. If they tell you to do this or that, either play super-stupid or BS your way through it and get them to put a work order out to check out things on their end. If that doesn't solve it, then it's time to go back to stock and exchange some hardware or something.

I have had the infuse roughly since it was released. Never really had any call isuues or anything. Lately however, about 90% of my calls end up dropping. Also, when i try to end a call, the phone kind of freezes and shows that the call has not ended, but it should have. The phone symbol shows up at the top or the status bar stays green... I have no idea what this could be attributed to. I have used different roms and never had an issue. My most recent rom is the Max Q Rom and everyhing was working fine then after a few weeks this calling and ending calls situation started. Tried reflashing the Rom, but problem is still present, dont really think it is Rom related.
Anyone have any input? I cannot seem to figure it out and my phone as a phone has become virtually unusable...

Have never heard of that.... still have you tried a data and cache wipe in cmw? then install a rom on a fresh device? I know you will have to back up all your stuff but may be the answer.
Also try another modem may help. Im not sure since ive never experienced that but give it a try.

I can relate. I had the same exact issue a few days ago. I just flashed and didn't look back.. though I probably will eventually. Try Mitra, very good. I loved it. Experimenting with Caty's rom now. Good luck. Wipe/factory reset, wipe dalvik and fix permissions. Then flash. Let it sit for 10-15 before you start using it. Make sure it settles and gets used to, "it's native infuse guts," as EXPERIMENT put it.
I randomly just stopped receiving text messages with my rooted Droid Charge that has the latest version of gingerbread installed. Everything worked fine until Tuesday, but I just realized today messages weren't coming through that people were sending. I did a battery pull, and now it appears that texts are coming in, but the messages that I missed over the past couple of days have not come through. What happened to them? Are they lost in the ether? Are they sitting in a queue?
I can't call Verizon, because if they ask for my phone system info, they'll know I rooted. Any advice?

Well there was a data outage a day or two ago, that might have been your problem. IDK, just a guess.

How would I know the current build, kernel, OS, etc? Does anyone have the stock Charge info?

I did a battery pull and that fixed the problem for about 15 hours. Now I'm not receiving texts again. Could this be caused by a ROM or a particular app? This just randomly started occurring out of the blue.

Are you missing any calls at all? I would suggest trying a new SIM card.
I was having trouble getting texts a few months ago. It was a problem on Verizon's end. When you call them, you'll have to get to at least level 2 tech support before they can be any help. I'm not sure what they did, but the next day I was getting all the texts again. The ones that you didn't get are gone though.
OK so last night, I was at work and I was in a situation in which I had to call the cops and paramedics Every time I'd dial 911 it would quickly hang up right after I'd press the call key.has anyone on this rom tried dialing 911? Probably not but if this is a rom related issue,it needs to get looked into. I love the rom but had to flash unnamed back just to get it to call 911. All of the other numbers I tried calling worked fine, not sure why that one didn't. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about you being in a jam. How long ago did you flash the rom before the situation? I know on a couple of roms where I tried to dial a number or mainly just access my recent call list it would FC on me. After a few bouts (all within a minute or so of fiddling around with it) I finally got it to go through. I'm assuming it's some kind of cache issue.

I downloaded it right after it was released. Everything was working fine. Even the other numbers I tried calling would work. It was just the 911 that would. It would hang up as soon as I'd press the call key to the weird thing is that nothing was force closing.
I tried calling at least 20 times with the same results. I'm just hoping it doesn't happen to anybody else. I'm a security guard and I found a very ill homeless man were I work. I had to get a hold of them you know? They said poor guy would've probably not made it through the night.
This is going to be one of those bugs that is hard to iron out. However I know the vibrant cm roms use to have issues dialing 911. It was finally worked out.
Ill look into this first but it will be hard since ill have to dial 911 to check for sure :/ ill get back at u tonight

Just tested it and it works so maybe bad download/flash?
Edit: if you can test the error with a logcat since everytime i dial it goes through and if yours doesnt it will help.

I wouldnt recommend hanging up on 911, that could land you with a fine and/or 3 hots and a cot.
Could a different dialer cause this kind of issue?
I re downloaded the rom and re flashed it. I don't know much about logcats but I'll try to get one.
the problem seems to be fixed now though. I dialed and the call began to go through unlike last night, it just kept saying call ended. I'm just glad it wasn't a rom related issue. Most likely a bad download. Thanks guys.

No prob but good thing not a rom issue always check md5 before flashing anything anywho if its solve add "SOLVED" to the title of the thread.

I flashed v1 instead of v2 on accident and i just flashed v2(yes i made sure this time) and its doing again. i have a logcat for it this time though. do i just copy and paste it on here or is there a different way to do it? i just joined so i dont know how to do alot although ive been reading these forums for about a year now haha. once again, thank you guys for helping make this phone not suck.

well hopefull v3 fixes it...if not then oh well, i got a hold of police dispatch number for my city so i can just use that. thanks for the help guys.
Try using the GB Starter pack or Heimdall-ing the KJ6 rom. After, reinstall the S-COM and check if dialing 911 works before restoring any backups you created.

911 problem
That happened with me last night when someone had smashed into our parked car. It would come up "EMERGENCY NUMBER" and then just quit and not call 911. But I'm just using the old Valhalla rom.
I have not come across anyone else with this issue so im kinda nervous. Ive been on this ROM for about 2 weeks and this issue started yesterday. I have almost full bars, but i cant send or receive text, cant make or receive calls. I cant even check my voicemail... I have the Scv7 ROM, update 1, and the 1200oc update. I dont know what the issue is. Please, any help would be great. I love ICS but its about to go out the window...
NOTE: I noticed this after i woke up the next morning. Almost like the phone was in standby for so long (overnight) that something happened..?

Please post this in the SCV7 thread. they will be able to help you better over in that thread since it is dedicated to that ROM, plus the dev who built that ROM checks that thread as well.
