Hi,
I've just received my transformer this morning and all is good but... the touchscreen calibration is not just fine. After 1/4 of the screen there is a small offset (5mm) This is minor but quite confusing when closing a browser tab...
I tried to find a solution but cannot figured out how to calibrate touchscreen.
I have 3.1 and i have to make an update. (Cannot do it right know) I hope this will solve the problem.
I founded nonthing on this forum about this problème... Any advice ?
Thank you,
Vodnok,
well, update didn't make any progress
I will contact asus for official solution
Any solution from xda ? does am i the only one ?
Thank you

I would try killing the battery completely. The fastest way to do this is to hold the Vol - key while turning on and then let it sit. It will stay in the mode wanting you to confirm wiping the device, but it also keeps the back lite on. It will time out and then goto a blank screen and then just do the same thing again.
I bet Killing the battery will fix your issue
I'm trying this....
Just for information -> the blank screen appear when battery is nearly dead or after few minutes ?
" and then just do the same thing again." : So when blanck screen appear i have to power off and power on with vol - again ?
How many time ? Until nothing appear at boot ? (battery empty) ?
Thank you,
@micger21 : Merci mais mon problème est au niveau de la précision de l'écran tactile et non du gyroscope. Mais je ne connaissais pas l'application dont tu parles. Merci ;-)
It's taking a lot of time... 10% drain by hour....
Cannot find cpu burn like on market or looping benchmark to drain battery
EDIT : I use Samurai Vengeance II. The home screen is 3d animated and drain 20% battery on 1h30.
@18% battery... ;-)
If this operation (battery drain) doesn't work, i hope yes, does an custom rom install can solve de problem ? Or is it an hardware failure ?
so it didnt worked... Il contacted asus support If you have any other tips i stay open
I have a similar situation. There seems to be dead areas on my screen, most noticeably around the N and M and space bar. I have the Viewsonic GTab as well and it had similar problems. However the Devs here on XDA were able to figure out how to recalibrate the touch screen and it fixed everything. I tried the app found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=934500
But it doesn't seem to work for the Transformer. Here is more information on what they did

I have the same issue. Please maintain us informed about asus response. As a trick, I use the tablet rotated 180.

What does the rotate 180 do?
I have the same problem on mine and it's driving me crazy since I use a stylus to write, and near the bottom of the screen the shift makes writing very difficult.
Is there any way to adjust the calibration if I root my transformer?
My calibration is off too. when i play games it is about 1.5cm above where I touch. Did asus really not provide some sort of calibration tool?
I never came across this option on a capacitive touchscreen device... what you can do is download a touchscreen tester from the market to test if it is the screen or a bug in a game/app

I have a Nexus S (9020a) that has given me a number of problems. Now I'm starting to wonder if there's something wrong with the hardware.
1. In ANY ROM, the phone sometimes refuses to show any display. Repeated taps of the power button don't bring anything up and then the battery has to be reinserted.
2. While charging, sometimes the touch refuses to respond, sometimes it gets inverted (upside down) and sometimes its colors are inverted.
3. In ALL Jelly Bean ROMs, there is severe battery drain to the NFC Service. And it cannot be turned off, the NFC option is greyed out.
All these bugs are relatively less frequent in CM7 (and the battery drain is nonexistent). Can anybody guide me what the problem might be? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Haha, thanks for the reply.
I am using the original charger so I don't know why this still happens.
And in Jelly bean ROMs, deleting the apk is a secondary solution. Why does it happen in the first place?
Also the Nexus Root Toolkit refuses to flash stock tar to the device too. That is quite confusing too.
Firts of all i want to say i have android 4.4.4 stock, lock bootloader and nothing weird in the OS, so my phone starts whit one problem of fading the screen just the screen i can still movin things un phone (shuting off the backlight i thing)
I didnt take much care of that until the phone begun to just reboot constantli and the screen issue more and more recurrent and how to say Mmm large in time 5 secs or so, then in the reboot issue starts to appear the reboot menú and in one of those reboots, phone die
And i did the hard hard unbrick in one of the post here the one of bulk_hup someting like that the thing is the phone come to life and new "ROM" just the factory ROM i dowloaded from here and flashed phone and that, well the issue of the fading screen continúe, so i went to the depelover menú and look for malfunction error report and i saw someting weir whit errores in the backlight and some apps so i need help of anyone who knows this please, just to add i change the runtime from dalvik to the other and the phone is going well, but i dont know if this will solve the problem. i will upload the log

I received from china m'y z90-7, unfortunatly I hear the sound of the smartphone initialisation but the screen is full of small blanck point like snow. I don't know what to do to get back à clear screen annd functional mobile. Can you help me or advise me.
I got Vivo 1.8.8 update today. Have u too received it? any improvement in camera? here is the whats new of the update of vivo nex 1.8.8 https://youtu.be/U_I3ZAXqLZw
bonjour
en téléchargement......
Not too sure about camera improvements but, fingerprint unlock is much faster now
My AR stickers are lost. how to get it back?
They have added screen temperature adjustment option. And FP scanner seems to be working a bit faster, but not everytime. This is my observation so far.
Fingerprint scanner is damn fast.
je confirme ,scanner plus rapide
After removing the phone from the pocket, the fingerprint reader icon does not appear. You have to wake up the screen to unlock. It is only during subsequent unlocks that the icon appears.
I sorry for my English, I use Google Translate.
If you ever cover the proximity sensor when the screen is off (put the phone in your pocket like @chudybws said or face down on a table) then the FP icon will not show up until your wake up the screen... Pretty annoying if you ask me
I know it's about a proximity sensor and you're 100% right, but it probably was not before (before the update).

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough but of course this is a bug that appeared with the 1.8.8 update. The NEX had never acted like this before
I updated 508mb file, after phone rebooted itself to install, i got a popup stating update corrupted then ok button, next pop-up said reset phone and download....The phone rebooted itself and I checked for update and now it shows 2.69gb file.
Had anyone faced same issue?
Does this indicate to factory reset and then upgrade?

To those who've lost AR stickers or if it is not working after the update....Go to settings = more settings= applications= all= touchpal for vivo= permission=(give permission to all) .... check if it works now.

Recently i just bought Samsung A51, it seems that whenever the auto brightness kick in, the setting is bugged, where the display will dim so low that the color of the display looked bleak. does anyone experience the same thing? or is it a defective unit?
The problem is solved if i restart the phone, but in a few hours the the display goes back to dim so low again. i've already reset the setting, and also do reset accessibility, but it doesn't seem to fix this problem. anyone have an idea to fix this? or do i need to go to the samsung service center in my town?
Galaxy A51 Have a lot of software problems

I have the same problem. how is it now? is there a solution already?
Sometimes auto-brightness not working for me. I've to disable and re-enable it to work it again.
Some working solution
Hi, i got same problem before.. it happens when we set the phone brightness too low or set auto brightness on when on bright environment..
Just simply wipe your partition cache and run graphics test...its works great for me.
To do that switch off your phone then press power button+volume up, choose to wipe cache partition then run graphics test..then reboot.

Recently, comparing the Samsung A51, it seems that always the automotive engine enters the air condition, the configuration is buggy, on the phone it is as secure as it is on the physical phone sombria. Alguém experimenting with the same thing? Or is it a union with defeito?
The problem was solved if I was rehabilitating the phone, but in some cases I was able to get a lot of security. I redefine the configuration and also redefine the accessibility, but it seems that this does not solve the problem. alguem tem uma ideia para concert isso? Or is it precisely for the Samsung service center in my city?
