So i just tried odin good 'ol kc1 from ICBINB and odin failed on the first file zimage i think.
After unplugging on boot up i get the image below.
I tried lots of methods to get to the original download mode but keeps going back to this image.
Anyone know what i am talking about? also is this just a different image for download mode? odin recognizes the COM so should i just re-Odin?
you dont need original download mode hook up to computer and use odin with that screen...hell ive even odined with a black screen..
as long as you can hook your phone up and open odin and odin says connected it doesnt matter whats on your screen
you can odin fine with that screen. if your computer doesnt recognize, reboot the computer and plug the usb into another port and you should be good to go

no, the modem wouldnt affect it. it may have just been a hiccup in the system. odin has yet to fail me.

I just tried to put CWM on my Charge. It failed the first time. I went to turn it on to see if everything was okay and it isn't. I get a screen that shows and phone and computer with dots in between and an exclamation mark. It won't turn on past that.
I really don't know what to do and I'm scared I broke it already.
Ok, pop the battery out of your phone and hold down the volume down butten and plug the USB to your computer. itll bring you into recovery mode. Do you have odin downloaded onto your computer and the drivers for your Charge installed? If so, then download this. Itll reflash your system to stock. http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo....11 - xda-developers&txt=ED1 Full Factory Tar Then do the OTA upgrade from verizon, itll update you to EE4. Then flash this file under odin too, http://www.androphiles.com/files/android/EE4deodx_DXC.tar.rar this will give you a customer recovery and root. Good luck.

So download Odin 1.7? It fails every time I try to flash the first file you gave me.
After you get your phone into download mode...put the battery back in. Make sure you unchecked auto reboot on Odin. I have to do this everytime I flash through Odin.
Try this odin, hope it helps.

Im so sorry about that! Thanks for updating me on the problem.
I posted in the other guys post that we have visited about him having the same screen as me. Should fix his problem. If not I have no clue.
I know how to use odin and everything. but I don't know which files in the leaks go where.
There's the md5 file and a .dll file for UCKK2 which is what I'm trying to flash. Which goes where and what options do I check in odin 1.7?
That file goes into PDA slot.
Remember to flash via BACK usb for safety since front usb ports can get outpowered or overpowered or soemthing like that and stop the flashing in the middle.
Even if that happens relax, Infuse is basicly unbrickable, just take battery out, connect to usb holkd volume up and down and put battery in ( download mode) if the flash failed once, probably you wont get the " download mode" but a "Phone----!----Computer" sign.
Thats download mode, just reflash using a back USB port and sould get you trough it no probs.
Also if you dont like Odin can try heimdall... but its another interface. Anyways flash as you like.

Ok I have looked at thread after thread and saw some similar issues but no real solution that has worked for me. Long story short, my brother tried updating his SGS4G and "says" the cable came out during update. Basically phone was stuck in communication with pc screen. After tons of trial and error button combos, jig, etc. I was about to give up as I couldn't get it into download mode. Well got bored so tried again and somehow got Odin to recognize the phone and started to flash the K1. Unfortunately, it failed before completing and now I can get the phone into DL mode but Odin nor the PC will recognize it. It sort of boot loops a couple times then loads up to home screen for a few seconds during media scanning then trips right back to Galaxy S 4g screen and starts the boot loop deal over again. I was able to check before it cut off and it has unknown baseband. Is there any other way to get Odin to recognize while in download? I have done all the steps then plug in phone etc. Odin just sits there and PC said usb not recognized. Tried 3 different PCs with XP, Linux, and Win 7. Is the baseband the issue for getting it recognized now? If I can ever get Odin to recognize I was hoping to manage a full backup to stock and then worry about the baseband issues but for now I am stuck and would have pulled all my hair out by now but I am bald. Any advice or pointing in the right direction would be great.
Edit: Thanks for the help. After tons of attempts I got Heimdall to recognize and got it flashed back to stock.. Still isn't recognizing all the time but hopefully it will enough to allow me to root it before I give it back to him. Thanks again I read and read and tried all sorts of stuff multiple times.
If you can get into download mode. Just start ODIN whether it recognizes phone or not and see what happens. And double check your settings are correct in ODIN. Make sure u have latest version as well. Or try Heimdall.
EDIT: Go ahead and tell us whether you were on FROYO or GB. And why were you flashing K1? And what is K1? KC1?
Are you using FB's GB Ext4 Starter Pack?
Odin can sometimes be a pain. If the computer gives you the "un recognized device" keep trying. Tried different cable and USB port and reinstalling drives and such? Lots of others have had luck using the one click.. Heimdel package. But, I'm an Odin fan... If you get any sign of life from PC while it loops, that's a start.
if you have adb loaded, have you tired to spam the reboot download command while the phone loops?? Its another way to see if it does/can get into download mode..

okay i bricked while using gremlin cleaner some how and im trying to reflash stock+ root and odin just hangs at setting up connection the phone is recognised and everything but its been like 20 minuets and it hasent moved a inch

Is the phone in download mode? If so, I've had ODIN hang on me like that before too. I had to disconnect the USB cable from the computer then plugged it back in.
The phone might freak out and show you a different screen but it's really just another download mode.
I would suggest ditching ODIN and using one of bhundven's one-clicks to return it to stock. They work great.
Alright, here's the story. I've been here a while, flashed a lot and never had an issue. My S3 locked up and shut down after loading a ROM so I decided to flash back to stock and start over. I have unlocked the bootloader and flashed many ROM's, modems, rpm, etc. before.
My phone was in download mode in ODIN and had begun flashing when the cord was pulled out of the phone (don't ask). Since then I can still get into download mode. Odin recognizes the phone but won't move beyond NAND WRITE Start!!!. Occasionally, it will boot telling me to repair update with KIES. I have tried KIES but it won't recognize the phone. I have downloaded the stock PIT and attempted flashing that while having root66 in in the PDA column. While ODIN continues to recognize the device I cannot get a flash past NAND WRITE start.
I have tried flashing the bootchain, CWM, and bootloaders in ODIN all with the same result. I have tried several cables and different USB ports. Did I manage to hard brick my phone even though I can get to Download mode?

Try a different computer and make sure you are plugging into a usb 2.0 plug. Check the MD5 sums of your downloads too.
Tried that. I think I need a way to fix the NAND partition. Flashing the correct PIT doesn't work either.
Did you pull battery and press appropriate buttons, then put battery back in while holding button combo?
Also, nothing will flash unless you can actually get into download mode.
I'm in download mode but nothing will get past the nand flash write... I can get into download mode and ODIN recognizes the device. Flashing anything seems to start fine but I cannot get past Nand flash write... it just stays there forever. I need some advanced help as I think pulling the cord while flashing in ODIN jacked up my partitions.
It's still doa. Any ideas?
