FS: Droid 2 with LOTS of Accessories for $250 - Droid 2 Global General

I'm selling my droid 2. Its in perfect working order, Clean ESN, rooted running liberty rom. Has a small nick on the bezel, barely noticeable. Does not come with microsd card but does come with the following accessories.
New Car Dock w/ Auxiliary Cable
New Multimedia Dock
Wall Charger
Extended Battery with Extended Battery door (verizon extended battery)
Regular battery door
2 additional normal capacity batteries.
Looking for $250, but I'm open to reasonable offers. I currently have an Ebay listing with pictures
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=220814225392
I would rather make the sale here outside of ebay, but the auction shows the pics. I have 100% positive feedback, and would prefer to deal through paypal here as well (its just safer for all parties involved). Continental US only. Will ship priority either the same day payment is received, or next postal day (depending on what time of day payment is received).
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks for looking

Bump, price dropped to $200

Well if it was a Global my friend would probably be interested in it, but alas…

yea its not a global sorry. If your friend is interested in the accessories alone, then maybe we could work something out (minus one of the regular batteries and original door since I would need that if/when I sell it to someone else)

Finding a NEW Skyrocket battery

I'm in Canada, with Rogers and have had a SR for about 18 months. Time for a new battery mid-contract.
But Rogers doesn't sell them any more. Nor does Best Buy, Future Shop, the Source etc. There are lots of phone vendors around, but I find that they sell them at $20 - $30, and they must be used, because even after a few cycles and battery calibration, they are usually worse than my old battery. I've bought two from Pacific Mall, they were awful.
I've been told that unless Samsung sells it to you, it's a refurbished battery. Don't even know what that might be.
So with the retailers no longer stocking batteries for non-current phones, where does one get a NEW Skyrocket battery in Canada?
Also looking for a Verizon Samsung Nexus Extended Battery (2200) as per another thread here. They are gone! Nobody has them. I'd love to try one on my Skyrocket, as it's a higher capacity and most say the fit is not an issue, but nobody seems to sell those either. Ebay sellers are out of stock with no idea if they are coming back in.
Is this what it's come to? Do you throw your phone away after 18 months???

I'm in the states but it looks like amazon.co has a bunch of market sellers who have EBL1D7IBA the main worry would be if it's really used.
I have a Nexus extended that i'd part with. Used it in my SR till it broke. Now i'm using my girls until I upgrade.. just hit me up in PM with an offer..
Have the oem battery from my SR too.. obviously used, but figured i'd throw that out there too.
Its here if you want it. Its $50 though..

Check ankerdirect on ebay or amazon
If you can have someone in the US order it for you Sprint is offering the OEM Galaxy Nexus battery (2100 mAh) with battery door for free with US $6.50 for shipping you would have a steal at your hand.
I ordered one for my SR last time they had the same offer and though the extended battery is a snug fir under the regular SR back cover it does last about 2-3 hours longer with moderate to heavy use as compared to the original.
Here is the quote;
"Sprint offers the Samsung Extended Battery Bundle for Galaxy Nexus for $49.99. Coupon code "BATTERY1" makes it free. With $6.50 for shipping, that's the lowest total price we could find by $28. It includes a 2,100mAh lithium ion extended battery and battery door."

Was just looking up batteries for the my skyrocket when I stumbled into this thread. That's an AMAZING deal. Ordered one and repped you.
Thanks!
I just ordered this online too. Does this ship to your house or do you have to pick it up at a sprint store? mine says pick up in store? I guess it doesn't really matter.
Also, Does this battery really last longer than the OEM one? i've had mine for about 18 months now and its time for a new one. Can't beat $6.50 though. Awesome find!

Yeah I ordered one too with that link, and I'm up in Canada, used a shipping forward service
I have no intentions of getting rid of my rocket, even after purchasing a new phone. Its still perfectly viable, and once I warranty my otter box a PERFECT backup device.
Thanks for this!

While I wait for the shipment, does anyone have any pics of the phone with the batt installed?

There's no real difference. Maybe a slight bulge if you don't trim the battery.

Cbiusa, then drive to Niagara to pick it up. I live in Toronto GTA so for me its easy.
Just got the new batt, and it does fit along with a Seidio Surface case, just. Didn't have to trim anything as long as the cover was snapped into place on the left side first.

I've found lots of batteries at Pacific Mall in Markham, Ontario
Well if you are willing to wait, i bought a couple of batteries from AliExpress.com and they have been working preetty well, both of them (i ordered different to test them out) last longer than the original...
I still use from time to time the original batt, but the honest truth is that the 2 chinese are my main batteries.
I ordered a 2500 mla(?) battery from amazon.ca for mine. Works awesome. Fits in without any mods.

Any cheap backup batteries yet ?

Any cheap backup batteries yet ? Ideally with wall charger.
I think the only one available right now is the stock Samsung batteries. You might be able to find a 50% off coupon. It comes with a battery charger. However I would wait for a company like Anker to release 3rd party backup batteries because I've found 3rd party batteries to have longer battery life than the stock batteries.
There is nothing. It's funny cause I had the G3 before this and there were a few preorders on Amazon already. I would think there would be more for the Note 4. What sucks is, Samsung had the spare battery with a charger for $20 but it sold out real quick. Who know's when that will come back in stock. I put my email down to know when they come back in stock, but I have done that before and never heard anything.

I can't post links yet because I'm a new user, but go to ebay and search for note 4 batteries. There is one from China that has a picture of three batteries and a charger.
I've used these batteries for my Note II and Note 3. They work great for about 9 months to a year. They still hold a charge after that time, but not as well as the stock battery. The stock battery will eventually crap out too; all batteries do. It's a great deal at $20 for three batteries and a charger. I also prefer to use this charger instead of the one that comes with the phone because it charges more slowly and will give you more charge cycles on your batteries. I would also disable fast charging unless you're desperate for juice because you will get fewer charge cycles out of your batteries before they start to suck.

Exactly this!
Batteries are not something people should cheap out on, for the sake of only £10 or so! Nearly all the cases posted around the internet of people's phones going up in smoke are due to cheap, third party batteries and/or chargers. Then there's the issue that most cheap third-party replacement batteries will have far less than the advertised capacity.
They're just a risk that is not worth it.

Did you bought those from China? How is it? Anyone knows?
I love the made in China batteries.
I understand the concerns with using a cheap battery, but I've used the ones on ebay for years now without any problems or harm to my devices. The savings are not a mere 10 quid. You get three batteries for half the price of one. The made in China batteries definitely don't last as long as the stock battery, but I've never seen one blow up and I'm not afraid or concerned about it ruining my phone.
There is one legitimate drawback compared to the stock battery though. The NFC chip is embedded in the battery on the note 4 so if you use NFC a lot then clearly you should stick with a stock battery.
I hardly ever use NFC so I'll still use the made in China battery from ebay.

I agree 100% with you. I am not worried about the battery blowing up. Its rare. And for my S3 and Epic prior to that they served their purpose. Backup for when you run out of power.
However, based on other thread if I can buy Samsung's for 50% off battery and charger ($20-$25) I would do it, just OOS.
Yeah, personally I have bought those cheap Chinese batteries off of Ebay, and I don't think they are worth it. I'm not worried about them ruining my phone, that is very unlikely. They just don't last long enough. I'm waiting for a reputable company to come out with a set with a charger. Like Anker. That usually runs about $30 bucks with 2 batteries and a charger compared to what $80 for the Samsung one. Even if they are .01% more likely to ruin my phone, that doesn't warrant spending an extra $50 like some people would lead you to believe.

Anker are very good, and not cheap as OP was talking about. I would use Anker but not a cheap option.
But Anker hasn't been to quick to get batteries out. I would suggest buying the Caseology batteries when they become available on Amazon. They always put up a preorder with a really good price but a ship date that is a month away. I always resist ordering it hoping that something will come sooner but they are usually the first and by the time they ship they are more expensive. And they get pretty good reviews.
FWIW, when I went to charge the batteries for our trade in phones, both stock batteries couldn't hold a charge at all.. BUT the cheap extended batteries I'd purchased from china had no issues at all.
(As a matter of fact, one of the stock batteries had developed that battery bulge we've heard about, and I couldn't even put the back on the phone with it in!)

They're currently out of stock, and on backorder.
They get em in fast. Check 2x daily.

Odds are we'll see quick chargers paired with 2 batteries on ebay soon for $12 shipped or so, similar to other phone battery options.
Since that's less than 50% the cost of the Sammy's I'll just wait for a week or two for them.
there are several on eBay just be careful as some are just 3000 MAH and some are 5400 MAH so just choose wisely if you decided to buy from eBay but most offer 2/3 batteries for 15$ or so

[Q] Battery supplier for true OEM, brand-new replacement battery?

Lots of searching this forum and elsewhere leads me to believe that if I buy what appears to be an OEM replacement battery for my Nexus 4, it will be either a used battery or a fake knock-off. The manager at my local Batteries Plus store even recommended against buying the replacement battery that they could provide me for my Nexus 4. He said they aren't as good as the original. I appreciated his honesty, but I am left searching for the holy grail -- a guaranteed OEM or equally high quality replacement battery that isn't used and that isn't a crappy, fake knock off. Can anybody help?
After reading a lot of comments on Amazon and eBay, I too was concerned about this. As my 2 year old battery was swelling (pushing the front glass up and disconnecting the Qi and NFC antennas) I was in a big hurry to replace it. With the default ground shipping, I got this one delivered to my local Radio Shack (2 blocks away) in 2 days.
I can now get a full 24 hours of on time (5.0.1) which is better than It was when it was new (4.2.1) . It is a bit overpriced, but was worth it for me.

Out of stock on radio shack.
What may be the manufacturer seems to sell only through resellers. I've asked them for more info.

You'll probably have to call LG support and see who are their official parts resellers.

Where to buy an external charger and spare batteries (UK) - advice

I've just bought a used N910F and wanted to get myself some spare batteries and an external charger. I've just moved up from a Note 3 and previously, an S3 LTE and had multiple batteries for both, with external chargers and I'd like to get the same for the Note 4.
I'm based in the UK and so I'm somewhat limited to what products I can get hold of. I'd like to get one of the Samsung external charger but I was wondering - as these are just running from the mains charger that you're using to charge the phone, is there any issue buying one of the non-Sammy, generic ones? I'd assume that the charger takes care of any overcharging issues - is that correct? If anyone has a link to any cheap genuine Samsung units, I'd be very pleased to have a look. I found one for £30 at Amazon, but it's a 1-3 month wait!
As for spare batteries, I've always gone for the Anker batteries and found them pretty good, and it's looking as though that's the only option for me at the mo - Amazon have them for £14 shipped where as the Powercell units are over £18. Any genuine ones for around £20? I'm not about to waste my money on the ebay cheapies!
Thanks for your time guys! :fingers-crossed:
Amazon buy anker,mpj,etc
I just recently purchased a standard Samsung battery from Amazon - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00VIK5DOY
Although there are cheaper options, I made sure that I selected the one that was sold by Amazon themselves on the basis that they are very unlikely to sell fakes - the one I got for £10.63 with next day delivery on Prime certainly seems genuine to me.

Thanks for getting back to me with an actual product. How is the battery holding up? I'm really happy with the Anker one I bought - I'm getting about 1.5 days of moderate use and 5+ hours of SOT between charges. I don't use NFC at the mo so I don't know if this supports it, but as things stand I'd be happy to get another one or two. Does anyone know how to tell if theses "genuine Samsung" batteries are indeed, genuine? I remember reading up on it when I had the Note 3 and it was really tricky visually.
What about these external chargers - anyone had any experience of the non-Samsung ones?

The battery works fine for me, and is a definite improvement on the tired genuine battery it replaced.
Well, I've bought, what's labelled as a "genuine samsung extra battery kit". It's currently charging the enclosed battery in the external cradle. I'll try it in the phone to check if the NFC works to be sure that the battery is a genuine Sammy one, but any ideas on how to check the charging cradle?
Just bought a replacement battery direct from the Samsung UK site - £25 but worth it for the peace of mind. Free delivery.
EDIT: Ordered at 5:00pm, it's now the next morning and my battery has arrived - great speed for free delivery! (Now, if only Samsung could get their firmware updates out as fast!)
EDIT: Genuine Samsung packaging (with the window on the front of the box, and a plastic container for the battery) and manufacture date of last month, so fresh off the assembly line
I've just charged up the battery that came in the "kit". Appearance wise it looks identical (but dont most of them?!) but I just tried it with NFC and that worked - I thought the fakes didn't have the NFC chip - or have some of them started adding it or have I just got a genuine one for a really good price?!

Where did you buy it from?

Wireless charging.

Hey all, recent got one of these phones and was just thinking I should grab one of those wireless charging style backs. But now that I'm looking they appear discontinued? No one shows stock, and everyone on eBay wants 60 plus shipping for them. So any one have a better suggestion on getting wireless charging on this thing?
If you're in the UK, Vodafone has them in stock for £40. I got one and really like it, it's the grey fabric and looks great!
If you're stateside, you might have some luck at some Best Buy brick and mortar stores. Despite what the website says, some stores DO have it, albeit in very limited quantities due to lack of real demand, not to mention they were giving it as a freebie for those who bought the Moto Z, Moto Z Force, and Moto Z Play from them unlocked (which was how I even got one in the first place). eBay obviously has it but prices are going to be sky high. Heh, reminds me of when I had an LG V10 and the wireless charging back LG sold for it wasn't available in the US and would usually be sold at the low low price of $59.99 but I managed to nab one from a seller for $35 bucks.
Other than that, you're pretty much out of luck. If you really want wireless charging, get that Incipio battery mod that includes wireless charging or the TUMI one if you prefer. Probably better than the wireless charging back since it works with the Verizon bumper case though it probably doesn't have the 15W Qi fast charging capabilities that the style shell wireless charging back does.
wireless mod from motorola
I could not find the wireless mod either, until i did a web search and found a link to the motorola site. Sure enough i placed an order for $37 and it went through, even though it would not show as an available item on the site when I was looking on it. Just got confirmation email - be here in 5 days. Try this:
https://www.motorola.com/us/products/moto-mods/moto-style-shell-with-wireless-charging
The floral wireless charging mod is now available on the US Motorola site for a clearance price of $20. Get them while you can.
