Anyone want to buy my Galaxy 4G?

Because honestly, the development sucks on this phone. Also, it appears any kind of development for this has been abandoned....I just can't keep a phone that I cannot modify..and yes, I am too busy/ignorant to learn the development on my own..

I just want to sell it, I'll try other sites also..

I agree with you that's why I got me the Nexus S 4G and dump T-Mobile and their bull mofos where giving me edge every 2 weeks since I got the SGS4G ... and never gave me my mail in rebate ... also they give more promotion power to crap phones like that Nokia. I think if I saw 1 ad for this phone it was a miracle ... but that's my beef with T-Mobile ... back to the phone I think it could have been great. But I'll again compare it to the Sega Dreamcast bad ass died young ...

I'm the same way. So as to why that guy is being a jack ass to you is the real question here... like has he done anything to help the SGS4G community? I don't think so... and the ass trying to shut down the thread mike has made. Probably has not heard of freedom of speech?

lmao freedom of speech? By all means. We are just trying to have hope and what not for our phones. =)
But for someone who doesn't have hope or patients shouldn't make others feel bad, by posting this thread.honestly we can all agree to some and disagree to some of mike's reasons but that's just reminds us that our phones are not being progressed faster like other phones but it's okay if you have hope. =)

Like mentioned already I would look at craigslist to sell the phone. Hit me up on twitter and let me know if its still for sale i will tweet it for you and see if there are any takers.
Everyone else, We are still just really waiting on some final mods within the CWM. Once that is all figured out then ROM's will come out.

How did I flame him by saying to use the search feature and telling him we really didn't need another thread on this topic because there are at least 3 already that were created before his? Umm that's not flaming.. I wasn't rude or nasty. I just said "how about using that search feature? Did we really need another thread on this topic? Like the other 3 didn't get the message across?" How is that flaming him? I didn't name call or put him down in anyway, just it seems in this forum(sensation) people create more duplicate threads then the other device sections I frequent. It clutters up the forum with redundant information and makes it tougher to shift through all the same crap to find a useful thread.

You know I have noticed more and more rude and sarcastic and flaming remarks as of late. I wonder if short tempers and faultfinding could be attributed to the following:
1. Locked Boatloader ( No definite time frame for resolution)
only vague promises and comments
2. No permanent root(temp root only)
A. No S=off for the majority so no custom roms etc.
3. Htc making vague statements and time frames(even the last blurb gave no real time frame for the US Sensation) and no realistic end in sight.(Hypothetically at least 2 months or more away, at least) Which leads to Feelings of hopelessness..
4. A great phone but many many issues(lots of returns and replacements)
5. Indecision as to whether to keep the phone or not.
Just some thoughts I know I have felt this way and if some of the above were addressed and accomplished I would have a better feeling about keeping the device and a better outlook about the situation in general.
Lets not take the circumstances surrounding the phone out on each other.

The frustration is coming from pushing the valuable info further away into the thread and on the first and second page we have 5 topics about the same thing. Xda should just take the search button away since no one uses it lol.

Thanks to the wonderful devs but I left AT&T and moving on

I wanted to say thank you so much to all the wonderful devs here for all of their efforts making the Captivate a better phone than Samsung could. Please don't flame me, this isn't a knock on the Captivate, I loved the device even with it's flaws. I will miss the Captivate forum, yesterday I jumped to T-Mobile, better rates and they have dual core phones. I got an HTC Sensation and I love it.I will miss my Cappy but I couldn't deal with Samsung's shortfalls any longer, I want a device that works as it should out of the box. I also would like timely updates which AT&T proved they suck at providing. Happy flashing to all and thanks for the wonderful support provided by the community.

You can't blame the hardware for crappy made software from the service provider or user error from bricking. I have never done anything that I couldn't fix and that wasn't my fault...
The fact that you CAN make it better by flashing new software proves that the hardware is adequate. The only thing you could perhaps complain about is gps but if you're that dependent on it maybe you should take some time learning your way around...

I mean, I don't mind chastising people for asking questions that have already been answered, really - even when it takes about 5 seconds of effort to just answer it again. But "elitist" is probably a bunch of internet addicts flipping their **** over the fact that someone DARED to violate the sacred holy rule that you don't dare ask a question twice... or thrice.... or.... three thousand times.

Keep in mind that this forum's search feature SOMETIMES doesnt work. Ive seen many times that it was either down or claiming to have found no results when it knows damn well that there are results. Its pretty frustrating.

Well said my friend. The unfortunate fact of the internet is that in every forum (without fail) there is a very small group of self righteous pricks that troll around looking for people to "yell" at. Instead of simply ignoring a thread like hundreds or even thousand of other members do, they claim to speak "for the community" and insist on making a big scene and being obnoxious. Clearly the less duplicate threads on a given board the better, but the effort some of these guys put into not actually answering (or helping) someone is astonishing.

this is a terrible fact of XDA these days, and while ignoring it is easy enough, there are LOTS of ppl who feel that this is their "home" turf, that must be defended at all cost (im not one of them )
but the bigger problem is new members who dont even read the rules or guidelines for using the forums, they just register, dump their Q's or demands and expect an easy answer, when the answer is sitting literally right in front of them.
i do repect what aspects of the "community" that are left here with some of the most amazing devs for anything that ive seen in a long time, their ingenuity and determination is second to none (and that includes OEM manufacturers )
having said all that, this thread is dead and delt with, and hopefully the OP now knows to do a just a *little* browsing before asking a question he might/should already know the answer to, unless he's a troll, in which case, back under the bridge with him

we did help him, and hopefully he learned something along the way. i consider "iron fist" the responsibilty of not just mods/admins, but all experienced forum goers.
and if you saw sensation forum before and just after the sensation came out, you would be mildly pestered with posts like this...im not saying were better than him at all, but i, like many others, had to learn the hard way when it came to the etiquette of XDA.
5 minutes of browsing (not even searching) could have avoided this fiasco of a thread, which i do admit im mildly ashamed to be continuing, but i digress, it may have seemed harsh, but it could have been A LOT worse

Finally made the jump. Gonna miss you guys.

I have switched over to Sprint and nabbed a SGS2 Epic Touch 4g. I jus would like to thank everyone on the G2X forums, the trolls, the DEVS, and the people who actually help one another by directing them to the right links to make their G2X experience awesome and jus right for them.
P.S I'm really missing my G2X running Miui on Faux. Time for me to move over to the Epic 4G Touch page. But G2X will remain in my Favorites.

SGSII is still a better phone...
You're right. People DO dumb **** all the time...like insinuate that ICS will keep a device relevant after it's out of date.
Got my SGSII today, as well. The TMo version, but nonetheless. A SUBSTANTIAL upgrade.

In my opinion, this wasn't a smart decision, especially considering the fact that the GSIII should be announced soon... You could've held off for a little bit longer!

Trying to stay on the top of the technology curve with Android is impossible unless you have plenty of money to burn. I try to get a year or 18 months then upgrade. ICS is definitely keeping me with the G2x for the time being.

Like I said, I also thank the trolls. You don't have to know who I am for me to thank the people who actually helped me with my phone. And you really took the time to look at how many posts I've left hahahaha wow. Who are you to say I shouldn't post stuff like this? I wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who answered someone else's question that I may have wanted to ask. Pretty naive for you to say that. You'd be a fool to even think the G2x is remotely better than the SGS2.
Better processor, more RAM, bigger/better screen, and most importantly, actual support from Samsung as opposed to the lack there of from LG.

How's the sprint network in your area ?

Its ok. When I'm around the house I'm always on wifi. The real test comes tomorrow when I go back to work and I'm on the road.

I think i would rather have and SII... the screen is better it has more ram and the processor is dual core 1.2 mHz
