This Just Keeps Getting Worst - Touch Pro2 CDMA

PHOD400
Sprint
This just keeps getting worst and worst.
I first notice that my end key didn't end phone calls. Then I noticed it didn't end anything but it actually would put the unit into Airplane mode. I'm doing a tap not a hold. So I get tired of trying to figure it out so I try to do a Hard reset. Got to the "press volumn up to erase". Pressed the volumn up as I have in the past when I did a hard reset but nothing happens. Tried numerouse times with no result. Volumn buttons both work when phone is on and working. I can volumn up and down but when I go to do a hard reset no buttons work. So I tried flashing numerous ROMs with no change in any of the above. until I flashed one that never went in. it just stayed on splash screen or what ever it was. I tried reloading ROMs from the card that I knew worked and it got to the update ROM window on phone. The place where you are supposed to push the power button to continue. So I push the power button and once again nothing happens. I tried this numerous times, I tapped. I push and held. I talked nice to it and still nothing happens. I'm lost. Any help would be nice. Thank you.

Help! MY MDA does not boot

Hi,
I have upgraded my MDA to NO EVIL ROM Windows mobile 6 version from this forum. Device was working great for couple of weeks. Now suddenly it stopped booting. When I do soft reset the
S.N.E ... Presents screen comes up.
Then HTC Wizard screen comes up
The Touch No Evil screen come up and then it stays at the same screen. It does not respond even to power button now.
The radio light (green light) blinks. The system does not respond to even hard reset.
I am tosed. Please help. Any response to recover from this situation is usefull.
Thanks in advance...
From the sounds of it, something you have installed or configured isn't allowing the phone to finish booting. You basically have 2 choices at this point... Hard Reset or Reflash the phone.
When you say hard reset doesn't work, are you sure you are doing a hard reset? Pull the battery out and let the phone rest for a minute or so. Press the power button a couple of times (yes with the battery out) to discharge any power in the device. Then put the battery back in, and press the top two buttons on either side of the phone (Comm and Record), and while holding those in press and release the power button. After a couple of seconds you should have a black screen with white text asking you about resetting the phone. Press the Send key (the green phone key that you use to answer the phone) and you will have completed the Hard Reset. If you get errors then you need to tell us what they are. If you never get the black screen with white writing then you aren't holding the buttons down correctly.
To reflash the phone, put it in bootloader (press and hold the recorder button while pushing in and releasing the reset button (or while turing the phone on)). Once you get the tri color screen, hook up the USB cord and it should say USB in the lower left. Now you can flash it (even though the phone won't connect to ActiveSync).
Good luck and hope that helps.
Able to reboot
Thanks for the advise. After several tries, was able to hard reset and started booting and working OK.
I have not done any soft reset after this event. What should I look for to correct, if any errors.?. do you recommend that I reflash the ROM?. The only software, I had installed was Microsoft Voice recorder. I have not installed the same after the reboot.
Thanks
ANother issue
Now after resetting, I see my phone getting into vibration mode all the time. Even if I set to ring mode, it will automatically go back to vibration mode after some time. Any idea on how to fix the same?.
Thanks

Touch Pro keep restarting after TAEL ROM screen

Hi, I have been flashed TAEL ROM, radio last month. Everything running fine until early of this morning.
I have not do any changes recently.
suddenly this morning I could not turn on the phone from standby. So I soft reset it, right after soft reset, it keep on reboot itself after reach TAEL ROM screen, sometimes after Windows Mobile screen.
I tried to get into bootloader screen but the nothing happened.
the reset button seems like cannot function now.
I press and hold vol down button then press on Reset but phone have no respond at all...
Anyone have experienced this and solved it?
Thank you!!
Try pulling out the battery for a while. That fixes this problem sometimes.
I would try a hard reset, if things do not improve.
Had to do one yesterday and it took me some time to find out how it's done for this phone so if you're not familiar with it here it comes:
1) Turn off the phone (take out battery for 5 sec, then put it back in)
2) Hold volume DOWN button and press the centre of the circle (enter button)
3) While holding those 2 buttons, power up the phone (and keep pressing this combination until you enter into bootloeader)
4) When in bootloader (I normally keep the volume DOWN and Enter button pressed, until I see the message in bootloader saying that in order to hard reset I should press volume UP, or any other key to cancel).
Hope this helps, and remember that you'll loose everything (programs, contacts, SMS, etc) if you do this.
Good luck.
Remove your sim and sd card before doing the hard reset..right?
It's not necessarily REQUIRED, but it is recommended.

[Q] Ever get stuck in CWM recovery?

Has anyone ever gotten stuck in CWM recovery?? And by stuck I mean, making any selection just makes all the text/options/scripting-prints disappear and the only thing that's left is the background image of the green android guy standing next to the box with the arrow coming out. It just happened to me and I have no clue why. I booted into recovery, made a nandroid backup, and then went to restore a previous nandroid backup, and that's what happened. And after that, every single selection attempt just had the effect described above. So after 5 minutes or so, I tried holding down the power button. Held it for a good 30 seconds, released it, didn't seem to work, until about 5 seconds later it finally started to reboot. And then booted back up into android. I was freaking out for a bit there, so I'm wondering if anyone knows what happened??
Yes that has happened to me. I fixed it by pressing volume up or down button several times. It is some safety feature or something, scared the sh!# out of me too lol especially since I had done a factory reset right before.
Haha glad to see I'm not the only one. Just wanted to know that it wasn't anything to be careful of in the future. Thanks!
Did you try using the home button to make selections? For some reason, it has happened to me also. I freaked out, but tried the home button and it worked. The power button sometimes hid the text of the recovery, but idk why.

Yeah I actually tried every one of the softkeys. Nothing worked. They all had the same effect as hitting the power button. So weird.
same here, j had to hold power button for 20 secs and then reboot phone. I thought it was strange
Sent from my SGH-I727R using XDA
Yeah, this is a built in feature to cwm, if you press the volume buttons in an up down up down pattern a couple of times, you'll get a message saying "back button disabled" and you won't be able to select anything. If you go back and forth on the volume a couple more times it should fix the issue.

Wow thank you for this! I know exactly what happened then. The case on my phone covers up the volume rocker making it difficult to push. And I must have been pressing the rocker right in the middle, because I did notice the highlighted selection go up and down a few times. And then I did, indeed, get the "back button disabled" message. And now I know if it happens again, how to get out of it. Thanks again.

[Q] My top volume rocker just went out.... now what?

So today my "volume up" just stopped working. I was listening to some music on Spotify and when i tried increasing the volume nothing happened. It started working again after a bit, but eventually it just stopped again and hasn't come back.
I assumed it was just an Android bug, since I had the same issue with my power button just yesterday, but after a while it started working again and I haven't had an issue since. So, I rebooted my phone today and it was essentially stuck in fastboot (I previously installed custom ROMs on the phone, but I've been using stock ICS for a few months now). The first time, the phone just stopped there; i couldn't move my selector using any of the buttons. It was frozen. I then took out the battery and rebooted again, this time fastboot seemed to be working, but what was strange was that my "VOLUME DOWN" was acting as a "VOLUME UP" and the "POWER" button was acting as a "VOLUME DOWN". The button that's supposed to be "VOLUME UP" did nothing, so I had no way of executing any of my selections.
After that, I took out the battery again, put back in, and plugged the phone in through USB into the computer. When I booted it, fastboot was stuck again and my phone wasn't showing up in the device manager on my computer. I then unplugged my phone, took out the battery, put it back in, and when I booted it this time, it actually booted into Android without going into fastboot.
At this point, I was just happy I got into my phone, but the volume button is still not working and I am afraid of rebooting the phone in the case that I get into the same fastboot dilemma.
TL;DR: Volume up button gave out. Thought it was an Android problem since I ran into the same issue with the power button earlier. After rebooting, the phone kept getting stuck in fastboot but eventually booted into Android for some reason but the volume up button still doesnt work.
Is there anything I should do? Is this a hardware issue? Should I send in my phone for warranty even though the bootloader is unlocked? Should I find a software solution?
Seems hardware issue to me. Imo try to relock the bootloader and send it to warranty

Hardware issue. The Nexus S has a known problem with the volume and power buttons failing after some time.

HTC HD2 is frozen in booting screen (Magldr V1.13)

Hi! So... I installed Magldr V1.13 many months ago and it has been very awesome. Yesterday, while sitting in class, my phone was in my pocket. (very rare occasion as I usually have it in a holster)
Anyhoo, it vibrated twice like it would for an email or text. I pushed the red (hangup) button to see the screen, and the screen stayed black but the buttons lit up. I repeated, same result. I took the battery out, turned back on and the phone stops loading after the "GO GO GO!". It just sits there.
I have taken the battery out and restarted it literally 12 times. I tried with and without SD card and Sim Card. I even tried holding in the yellow reset button. I don't know what else to do.
Any help is very much appreciated!
hope you find out the problem, I uesd to be in your situation, so sad

Always it happens something like that out of nowhere. So I think the solution is only one. Factory Restart the phone and re-install everything from the begging. If you don't want to loose your stuff try to copy paste the stuff you got in your SD card.

I know right? This is the first time I have been without a phone this long since high school, lol. How can I factory reset it without being able to turn it on? I held down the volume down+home+power button and chose the wipe from that menu. It didn't do anything. I even held in the yellow button on the back, still nothing.
Ok. So I finally found a way to factory reset my phone even though I can't get it to really come on:
1. With your phone powered off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
2. While holding the volume buttons, press the END/POWER button briefly and then release it.
3. When you see a warning message on screen, release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
4. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
Now, it's stuck on the "Stick Together" Tmobile logo
