Had one P920 in my service store and after hard reseting, I wanted to upgrade it to 2.3.5 for my customer and after upgrade, P920 had no network any more...
Spent whole yesterday and whole today to find a solution, tried every single solution found in this section and none worked. Phone still had no network...
So it fell to my mind, since we are a service shop, to use SE Tool's LG service add-on called LG Tool, made the P920 cable as specified by the makers of this tool, connected the networkless P920 to the tool, clicked to repair IMEI, repair bluetooth and finnaly clicked the Unlock button...
And voila, phone back to life, fully operating with full 2G/3G network and unlocked in less than five minutes...
Hope this help somebody with the same problem...
Regards

Does repairing IMEI change your imei? and if yes it is even legal?
Repairing your IMEI is legal as long as you use your original IMEI.

Hi,
My Verizon galaxy S3 has not been able to connect to anything but data (4G LTE only though, not 3G/2G/anything else) recently.
I can remember going through some flashing where I flashed Cyanogenmod (Nightly from around March 28th 2012) and the latest modem.
The issue is that neither calling nor sms works.
I noticed that when I flashed (using heimdall) 4.0.4 back to the S3, the serial number was all 0s (eleven if I remember correctly, so it was 00000000000).
The IMEI is correct, according to the settings.
What should I try to get it working?
Some background info on it: It was purchased at Walmart in mid-March, so it can't be returned to Walmart due to being passed the return window.
Currently I'm running 4.1.2 which I had to flash via Odin (I decided to try Odin since I had access to it for a period of time). It was not possible to update the phone from 4.0.4 to the newest system because of it only downloading about 30 MB (over Wifi, which still works).

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1867442 try this. You can use it to fix your IMIE number and while your at it make sure your ERI number is ok. Then reprovision your sim and you should be fine.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1867442 sorry for posting a bad link. Your imie shouldn't be all zeros. This will fix that. And your Eric should be 5 on Verizon. I don't know about other carriers.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
And just FYI: The IMEI isn't all zeros, but rather, the serial number is.
Update: Still not working.
I entered the IMEI from behind the battery in and nothing seems to have changed.
One thing I found interesting is that the MEID is not the same as it is when the program says it has changed it.

I dont remember where I found it but look for a program on xda called "Samsung MEID Repair V4.0" or "XDA Samsung Repair Utility (Verizon Galaxy SIII). I believe you can use that program to repair your MEID #.

To be honest, those programs were in the linked page for the first reply you gave me.
They didn't work for changing what the program sees as the MEID.
But the phone reads it in Settings just fine.

helpmeee please :crying:
I'd recommend using Odin/heimdall to restore to stock, then have some Verizon person try to fix it.
That's what I did (be sure to reset flash counter) and they got everything but SMS working, which installing CM fixed.

I just flashed to stock firmware, because my cell phone wasn't updating to KitKat because of root.
But after flashing, my IMEI is now set to 0.
I just searched on the internet and many websites says that the EFS directory is where your IMEI number is stored.
But is missing, I tried to reflash and nothing hapenned. I didn't make backup.
I unlocked the bootloader, so I think I lost the warranty, and Motorola won't repair my cell phone.
Bought my cell phone from Brazil dual chip version.
Is there any solution? Anybody help me?
There is not efs directory on motorola.
Efs is a Samsung thing.

Thanks for letting me know, do you know one method to try to restore my original IMEI?
I tried many methods and got no results.
All I've read about this is people flashing the wrong radios. That's all I can say about it.

Yes, I think I did something I shoudn't when flashing.
I think I just lost my Moto G.
But first, I will send to Motorola and I hope they accept to fix it.
Otherwise I'll have to buy a new one.
I guess you'll have to flash your Moto G all over from the bootloader ... check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2623587

Didn't work,
Doesn't update when I try to manually install the Riffbox driver.
Good news.
I sent my Moto G to Motorola and according to their website, the service order, seems that they will repair it.
Bootloader was unlocked, and according to the website, it voids warranty.
Repair situation: Being repaired
Estimated repair date: 08 March 2014
I'm from Brazil, I don't know if other countries would repair it too.

Common u can just rewrite ur IMEI to the phone if u know it or assign a random 15 digits number. Its easy. I've done it three times today on 2 diff devices.

For some devices are easier to change IMEI number.
Bought a new S6 from Ebay that had been opened up to all networks. Discovered it was rooted which I didn't want so I flashed it with a stock Vodafone ROM. The phone worked fine for about 10 days then all of a sudden I got the message 'not registered on network' when I try to make call. It turns out that the IMEI number has changed. Does anyone know whether this type of problem can be sorted out?
Flash back to stock via odin.

IMEI Corrupted
I'm going to use a Vodafone ROM as this phone was originally on Vodafone before the seller had it opened up to all networks. THE ROM is G920FXXU1AOCZ_G920FVFG1AOC4_G920FXXU1AOCW_HOME.tar.md5. Does this sound like the right one? Sorry for all the questions - I'm new to this. The other thing worth mentioning is the IMEI at the moment is 350000000000006. Where could this have come from? Any ideas? It's weird because the original IMEI was in tact for about 10 days before it changed to the one above. Any help at all would be appreciated

Corrupt imei is known issue when flashing and rooted. That's why firdt thing you do when rooting, is you backup your stock rom together with efs folder. Idk which is your stock rom, you have to do some research, download that rom and use odin to go back to stock. You will lose everything you got on the phone btw so save any pictures or music.

Bring S6 back to Samsung for repair
My guess is the phone you bought was stolen and after 10 days it got blacklisted.
Or the seller claimed he lost his phone to insurance company, sold it you, got a new one on insurance, and then after the 10 days the "lost" phone (your phone) got blacklisted.

I have the exact same problem, bro. All of the sudden my IMEI changed to 350000000000006 and I'm not able to register on my network. Did you manage to fix this? Please, let me know.
The same story, any help?
How I can fix this? Please help
Get Chimera tool and you should be able to fix it no problem
Did you manage to fix?
My baseband shows as attached after installing vador rom so I'm confused
If you didn't formatted/wipe the efs/nvbackup, there's a chance you can retrieve your imei.
But if it doesn't, the only way is to bring it up to Samsung or a good phone technicians to repair or get you a new branded IMEI for your phone. Mine was fixed by a technician using Octopus box tool.
You may try my method, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63693480&postcount=28

Ok. I have the same problem, my IMEI is 3500000000006 and said: "someone try to flashed you phone, and is lock..... blablabla" everything is good, baseband show me the number, I did not flashed or root the phone before I got this message, its show by it self, I rooted now, was on 5.0.2, and flashed 5.1.1 thinkig to its going to help me, but Nothing, still the same, now I cant downgrade to 5.0.2. Already look diferent videos and post on internet but nothing is making work.... Any sugestions????
Hi guys. I'm posting here in a desperate attempt to solve my problem.
A year ago I purchased an used N8000 with Omega 4.1.2 ROM installed, and worked very good. But a couple of days ago, I flashed my tablet to get the 4.4.2 update, because I need some apps not compatible on old versions.
Everything is ok except for the fact that my sim card is not recognized anymore, if I select the operator manually, I get a "network not available" error.
I made a lot of research, with no results so far to fix the problem. The only thing I learned is that I think it has something to do with the baseband version. Currently I have the N8000XXUDND2 version, the IMEI is ok.
I live in Paraguay, the 3G band of my operator is on 850MHz.
If there's no solution, can I just downgrade to the omega rom by flashing as usual? Or the process is different?
Thanks in advance

when u flash a rom then downgrade it the phone's imei code gets changed which causes "no network" error .
I'm trying to figure out restoration process of original imei code for my device too.

I don't even know how can I check the original imei of my device, since I forgot to write it down. On phones they are usually printed behind the battery, but this doesn't have a detachable battery.
If your IMEI is wrong then restore your backed up EFS folder .

It's written at the bottom back of the tab & on the box seal as well. Or dial *#06#. I tired hard reset & stock rom still imei error
I checked and indeed there's the original imei written at the back of the tab, and it's not the same number as of dialing *#06#. Don't know how to restore though since I didn't back up any efs folder.
You can do a search on XDA there are a number of posts regarding users that failed to backup EFS and null IMEI .
I have the same error, after root, imei and baseband are gone.
