[Q] I think i bricked phone. used seach feature, no one has same problem as me - HTC Inspire 4G

I just rooted the inspire. i think i installed the desire HD rom. now when i start up phone, it just shows the htc background with the xda "noob" audio playing. i cant do anything. it wont start bootloader.
any help would be appreciated. thanks

Have you tried pulling the battery and then restarting the phone?

If you used the hack kit it has steps to unroot. I had the same problem with mine. I held the volume down and power key while off and had it reinstall everything. Try that and see how it works.

Its called a soft brick, do what wolf said above then reflash the rom through recovery.

Fastboot and cwm... What happened

It seems like everytime i flash a new rom.or update my rom i get to the cwm screen through rom manager. When i want to add an extra(advance power mod) iy takes me to the white (fastbot/hboot?) Screen and i hit bootloader and it finds an update... I know that it will reset my rom and put me bqck to stock if i continue with the update... I just dont get y i cant always jist get to the "black cwm" screen where i am when i flash a new rom? I used to be able to go into rom manager and "boot into recovery" which takes me.to the black normal cwm screen. Now it goes to this white screen with the skating android on the bottom where it wants to update crap. Any help?

Remove (or rename) the PD98IMG.ZIP from your SDCARD. It's finding that and trying to install it.

That's fine. It won't mess anything up. It just needs to NOT see PD98IMG.zip, however you want to go about it...rename, move, delete. The result is the same.

Not to insult your intelligence, but are you sure you have cwr flashed? Perhaps try reflashing it?
I've never uninstalled ROM manager, so I don't know how that affects cwr, whether the stock recovery gets put back on or not, but Rom manager, with a working cwr, should at least get you where you want to go.

[Q] Mac to PC?? HACK KIT

Hi, I created my GC and Rooted my phone with my old MAC.
I used 'hack kit'.
My question is, can I download 'hack kit' to my brand new PC and flash my phone back to stock??
Why? I have a defected phone and I want toflash back to stock so I can get a new one!
You should be fine. I started my root on pc had trouble and completed on a mac. The process for rooting a phone is the same just different commands for the different os.
I used the hack kit, I'm s off, everything seemed to go ok when flashing back to stock.
I DO NOT have any sound??
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
And I also have side loading enabled, please help.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Download the stock ruu from htc. It will install the stock rom and you should be good to go.
I did via the hack kit link for stock ruu, I didn't see any errors, but not having sound side loading enabled seems off to me...

If you're S-on and have a stock rom, turn it in with no sound. Just another defect.

1. Does it turn on, at all, no matter what you do? No? Bricked.
2. No, true bricks cannot be fixed. The good news, most bricks aren't bricks, they're "bricks". As in, super easy to fix.
The phone turns on. After the HTC logo the screen stays white.
Is stil can get in the bootloader and recovery.
I tried to restore a previous back-up but the screen stays white.

Just to let you know if you are able to get into bootloader then is not bricked.
Bricks are only if the phone cannot power on. No signs of anything, then it's a bricked.

I flashed a lot of roms so i know how all of this works here.
But when i try to update my cousins phone this happens.
Is the first time that i ever see something of this.
--------------------------------------------------------
After an hour staying on the white screen the phone started all sudenly.
Now everything works like a charme again.
Guess that there was some kind or bug or something.
Place this in your ad card root http://db.tt/ht4BPIS8 that's a cwm recovery.
After that power off your phone, take out the battery and then re insert it.
Once you do that, hold down the down vol key then hold down the power button.
You will get to the bootloader
Select recovery
Restore your Nandroid or flash ROM
Sorry for the un organize post but I'm writing on my phone.
Let me know how that goes

You opened a thread asking for help without explaining what's wrong. Also the sticky threads have all the info you need. There is a thread called "help" for such questions. You are not bricked, you are in a bootloop, flashing a rom will fix it.
I don't see the reason why you should had opened a thread. The same answer has been answered about a hundred times by now. Look at the top of your browsers window.. there is the SEARCH field. Use it next time
Damn. I accidentally thanked that post

[Q] Samsung gt-i9020a (nexus s) wont turn on

Hi, I was trying to root my phone, a Samsung gt- I9020a (nexus s). I was following a tutorial and When attempting to load a recovery img the first time it did not work so I googled this issue and found a few answers. I proceeded to download and load the “ClockworkMod 6 recovery image” onto the phone by following the steps. Now my phone will not turn on even when holding the volume up+power button startup. Is there anything I can do??? Please help.
Is it completely dead? Will it not display a single bit of light on the screen? Or are you stuck in a bootloop

will not show any signs of life. no lights or anything.
I'm not an expert, but I know enough that if NOThING will power on the phone then it is hard bricked. However, I don't see how what you did could have possibly done it.... even if you mess up the recovery it shouldn't happen.

if it is hard bricked is there anything at all I can try to do from home to fix it?
See if your computer recognizes it. But I think it needs power for that because usually when you're screwed it at least has some form of life and you can connect. Try anyways, are you sure its not a problem with the battery though?

[Q] Stuck in boot loop, need to RESET. FML FML

Ok, I did it again. ****ing tried to root as the international instead of evita. I need the application, not anything with CMD. a recovery tool. Pretty sure it is HTC official that will reset everything and maybe update it? That's the program that worked last time but I can't find it now to save my life. Thanks for the help in advance. I'm getting pissed. :crying:

Sounds like you don't have any idea what you are doing. You need to do a lot more learning and research before I tell you where to find anything, especially something that can brick your device.
