Help with Porting Clockworkmod to Motorola Spice - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hi there, I'm kind of new to the android community but I think I could help out if you needed someone to guinea pig the spice xt300. Its not too popular outside of canada and brazil but it was only 200$ and I'd like maybe a froyo rom on it or even clockwork recovery mod . I'm a bit too new so I get lost when I tried to follow koush's page on his blog about how to compile clockwork recovery. I deleted some system apps and when I tried using adb to push them back to /system/app the phone started boot looping. Not much I can do, but theres a rsd mode on it so maybe I could flash a sbf image? I'm not sure. Recovery still works but boot loop when I start it normally.
Thanks!
And btw I THINK the xt300 has a locked bootloader.

SOLVED [soft brick]-[need help] ---Edited

I have a Atrix 2 MB865 which is not a AT&T phone.. It was on ICS before..I rooted it,flashed custom recovery and everything went smooth till here. Then I tried to flash carbon 4.3 unoffical rom through CWM recovery.. Got a message that flash was a success but when I rebooted I got stucked in bootloop.. I tried flashing a stock rom using RSD lite in fastboot mode but everytime it get stucked at "7/20 rebooting cbt.bin fail".. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Recovery mode is not working and phone is opening is just fastboot mode and no matter what stock rom I flash (ICS or GB) it is stucked at that 7/20 rebooting step and I get a FAIL message... again I say any help will be really appreciated.
EDIT:I can enter stock recovery... will this help???
The above scenario was my problem yesterday and after a lot of browsing and understanding the basic concept I was able to recover my phone.I want to thank to all the Atrix community group for helping me out and providing very good and accurate set of instructions. For me I come from a samsung background so dont have any much knowledge about Motorola chipset but again thanks for the helpful threads/post I was able to recover my phone.
SO THIS IS HOW I RECOVERED
As I mentioned in the above scenario that I was able to enter in fastboot and Stock recovery mode but flashing a stock rom (no matter ICS or GB) wont work because flashing failed in RSD LITE (7/20 Reboot cbt.bin FAIL).
I had drivers and I had antivirus turned off and I have met the every requirement that is favourable for RSD lite to flash stock rom package to my MB865.
Then I saw this THREAD,all thanks to @alteredlikeness.
He proposed a menthod of flashing firmware without using RSD Lite and it WORKED!!!!:victory:
He provided a batch file package and told to extract in your FXZ folder(extracted Stock Rom folder).
As told the device must be connected in fastboot mode to PC and then the batch file should be run ... I followed all the instructions carefully and took a while to run the batch file but in the end it flashed everything and I recovered my phone.
Just in case if anyone has met the above mentioned problem try this method .. It seems to be working for both AT&T and NON AT&T MB865 phones.

[Q] Moto G suck at boot animation

Hello all,
I have been having trouble rooting my Moto G. Unlocking the boot loader and rooting went fine however when I tried to install Carbon rom it got stuck at the boot animation. I then thought about trying a different Rom but both CWM and TWERP wouldnt allow to mount /data. Also for some reason I couldn't get ADB working. I don't know if it is the ROM that isn't working or something I have done. I would really like some help in working out a way to copy another ROM to my phone.
Is anyone has an idea it would be really appreciated.
Thanks,

[Help] cannot get into recovery Razr XT910

Hello everyone
This is my first post, and I am a slight noob, so please bear with me.
I would like to flash my XT910 with a cyanogen mod. I have flashed the device before, to EU jellybean 4.1.2 (952.124.14.XT910.Retail.en.EU).
However, I now cannot get into recovery mode. The Orange motorola start screen comes up, and then a dead android with a red triangle with an exclamation mark comes up. I cannot get further than this.
I have tried flashing a custom recovery using clockwork and TWRP. I have tried ROM manager, BMM, Rom Installer, etc. all to no avail.
Please can you tell me how to fix my recovery partition so i can flash?
Also I have rooted the device using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2298408 , which seems to be successful.
Thank you for any help!

[Completed] [Q] MOTO G(2014) XT1068 Recovery problem

Hi guys,
I have a Moto G2 currently and I have rooted it through KingRoot which was successfully done. After that, I had download the APK of Flash Image GUI and I tried to flash a custom recovery. After that, I tried to boot into recovery but it was showing:

Boot up failed
However, I can boot my phone up but it takes way way more time than it usually takes. My Bootloader is locked. I seriously dont know what's happened to my phone. Some plz help me. The phone shows the Motorola logo for few minutes and then turns off for a second and then boots up again and then after 5 minutes it boots up properly. I dont know how to unlock bootloader and all as I have just come from a Samsung S3 which was very easy to root and flash a recovery(thru Odin). I wanted to erase the user data in my phone. I tried thru recovery it didnt happen, i tried thru settings and it just tried to boot to recovery but couldnt and showed the above command. Plz help guys as I want a stock recovery or any other recovery so I can flash a custom ROM. I saw many forums and couldnt find a single problem like this so I came here .
Thanks a lot guys I just had to unlock the boot loader and return to stock 5.0.2 via a windowstool. I had bricked my device trying to install CM12.1 Nightly and the windows tool helped me so much u have know idea.

Can't boot into CWM Recovery?

Hello all. I'm not new to XDA but I am new to being an active member. So to cut the story as short as I can, I have a rooted Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 and when I open ROM manager(I have premium), it says my current recovery is CWM 6.0.4.7, because I flashed it. That's all done and dandy, but it's quite useless for me since when I boot into recovery mode, it just boots up the stock Android recovery. I'm trying to install the CWM ROM but I can't even get into the right boot, can y'all help me out here?
