Hi I'm having problems syncing my Gmail and contacts. I have installed the v.1.5 and am not able to access any Gmail stuff for the fact after I enter email and password the next page asks for domain/username and I don't know what it is. Can anyone help please, thank you.

Does the inspire not support Verizon email accounts? Mine won't add it. I tried the mail app and also went settings, accounts, add account. Still nothing. Any thoughts?
Are you talking about the HTC Mail App? Is there any reason you're not using GMail?
I have gmail also but my work email is Verizon
I think he is trying to tell you to add your pop or whatever account to your gmail account.. you do this online - log into gmail, go to settings, and add the accounts... this way you don't have to deal with the email app..

I had no problems manually entering my Verizon acct into the HTC email app. Have you tried manually entering your acct info?

very weird.... on a rooted stock rom , mail crashed and all mail accounts and messages are lost.
Any hints?

Umm you can resync your mail account.
Remove it and enter it back in under syncs.
I'm not sure if that's what you meant. But that's what it looks like to me more details please if this doesn't solve it.

Hi everybody.
First of all, my device is running Sensay XE35.
So let me explain my problem : i try to configure an email address via sense app and I would like to get it working with push. So I choose exchange activsync, I configure it, tap next, it begins to sync but when it's gonna finish then I have a notification which tell me that it fails "error of identification by server". I try several things and did several search but no luck
Hope you could help me to resolve this.

Exchange is only used for emails using Microsoft exchange servers like a work email. Who is your email provider

I'm talking about activesync in the HTC Sense mail app : it should work with Gmail.
Everybody got this working with push but i can't ! i'm just getting crazy !
Why don't you use the gmail app? And when you add a new account you're selecting exchange activesync?

because, first, i have 2 accounts so i would like to use just one app instead of 2 :/ and i prefer Sense app
Yes i choose activesync of course :/ i write my gmail address, my password, then next.
I also tried to configurate it manually many times but no luck always this error while doing first sync
i'm using the HTC Sense mail app as well for gmail. i have mine configured using exchange: username =gmail email address, password=gmail password and server address=m.google.com.

I think that is only for Microsoft exchange and that is why it isn't working
You want to.go.to settings > accounts and sync > add account and then choose mail and try it that way

There is a problem that prevent me from using my Gingerbread device. In fact, when I try to add and Google Account on my 2.3.6 ME860, unlike in the 4.1.2 where you can simply enter the non-Gmail email address and sync with your Google Account, in Gingerbread, when I enter the same thing, they say that the user name (and not the email address) is not belong to any Gmail account ended with @gmail.X. So, I attempted to enter my username that is used in my Google Account with the non-Gmail email adress. Therefore, obviously, it doesn't work. So, what can I do? Do I really need to create a VIP gmail email account especially for this phone. More, the most weird thing is that in the past I used to use this phone with the same Google account that I use now with my 4.1.2 phone (the same that I try to login with right now) and I remembered that I can do it without any problem.:crying:

No, you don't have to create any new account. A single account can be synced and used up on multiple Androids at the same time.
Do you have any custom ROM installed? And please mention your device. A few screenshots of the App drawer and Settings would help a little here, for me to understand.

Guys - started using one plus one for couple of days now. My exchange email account doesn't sync properly and takes ages to get the latest mails. Once everything sync'ed properly and I was getting all new mails. All of a sudden week long mails vanished and its taking ever to sync again. Any help here pls.

Boxer doesn't have exchange support for hotmail.com and outlook.com I'm trying to load the previous stock email app and exchange services. After I enter my username/password it prompts for which exchange services to sync (calendar, email, contacts) and after I click continue I get Unfortunately email stopped working.
It seems even trying to revert to the old email app doesn't work.
By the way - I have not rooted and still @ stock cm11.

You can try the outlook.com preview on the app store but I dont know of any good client besides the stock ones.
