I just saw a youtube clip about someone who installed this on his droid;
Anybody tried it on the N1?
Where did you get it from?
Should be an update to your Maps app available in the Market, it didn't install for me, said package wasn't signed correctly, I was using a rom with known issues with Google Services though so I'm reflashing right now to try again. You can go to buzz.google.com in your browser to use their web app. Has a pretty clean interface.
installed and works fine on a non rooted nexus.
Got it workin on mine now too, pretty sweet.
I just installed it on my rooted nexus one here in canada and found several other people testing it out. Seems to work fine just not sure how often I will bother to load it up.
Installed on Cyanogen Beta 4 with my theme, and works perfect. Installed from market
Downloading... Installing.... WORKS.
Buzz works great through Maps, but has anyone got it working properly from the Browser via buzz.google.com? When I try to post a buzz through maps, it goes right through. But through browser, I just get the little grey "processing" spiral.
This Maps 4.0 have Navigation out of USA? Thanks
Weird... I can't find google maps on the market at all - no update or anything...
Do they roll it out gradually to people?
Or maybe it's because I installed the 2.1-patch1 myself? (didn't wait for the official notification)
My phone is stock non rooted and not unlocked.
testing.... no
Got the update last night in the android market, this is pretty cool.
Google maps is not in the market of free applications. Although free, you need to have access to the paid apps market.

should be in the market. look for google maps and see which version you have installed. should be 4.0 .. if so do menu layers and buzz .. and thats it... start buzzing if you wish.
I've just restored apps after a wipe and my Google Maps is showing as 3.4. I go to market and it's not offering me an update. What can I do?
I really hope someone can help me. The attached screenshot shows you my Latitude contacts with some fresh location times but they are ALL showing up as stale. This also causes my Latitude widget to not display anything. I have tried the following:
1. Changing ROM (twice with full wipe).
2. Using Titanium to uninstall as a system app and re-installed from Market.
I am really at a loss as to what is causing this, however my HTC Hero and when logged into www.google.com/latitude contacts appear correctly (fresh and stale).
I have searched the forum and can't seem to find anyone else with the same issue. I am using GingerS Mod v0.5 at the moment by the way.
Thanks.
I have the same problem with my Nexus One and my SE X8 !!! PLS Help to us....
I solved my problem!!!! Menu-Settings-Date and TimeSelect CORRECT time zone !!!!!!! after that see the clock is it correct ! If it is go to maps and TADAAAAA If it is not - set the correct time and go to maps ...... TADAAAA Check the TICK in Google maps - LATITUDE )))
I just did a stock install for 2.1, and for the life of me I can't find google maps in the market. Then I went to the online webstore and it says google maps is not compatible with the XT720. Anyone know whats up? Thanks!
It's weird because I'm running on 2.1 stock rom right now and I have google maps (5.8).
You say you didn't find google maps on android market but did you change the filter in the settings ?

Thanks, I solved the problem. It wasn't the filter apparently google maps wasnt available for my country because of the 3D maps update which is really stupid. I used market enabler and got both google maps and the newest google plus.
I am using the lastest ported MIUI ROM 3.9 for my MTK device and it works perfect with just only one problem,
In google maps, if GPS is off, it doesn't detect location(with bug blue circle).!
I've replaced networklocation.apk, and liblocksdk2.4 and liblocksd2_5_OEM.so
Am I missing something?
A working solution would be great as it would help 100's of people using the same ROM.
Hello everyone.
I would like this post to reach more people on XDA who could solve it.
Since I received the update to Harmony OS 3.0 on my Chinese Mate 30 Pro 5G, all those apps that use Google maps for geolocation do not work.
I'm typing this thread here because I'm looking for people who has got this issue like me.
Examples like WhatsApp for location sharing, Wallapop, SocialDrive, etc. None of them work with Google maps. I get a message: "Updating Google Play Services", and it does absolutely nothing else.
I have Google Services installed on my Mate 30 Pro almost natively with the Googlefier and MicroG method from Eloy Gomez, a Spanish developer, and everything was perfect until Harmony OS 2.0
After Harmony OS 3.0 update no longer.
I am attaching a screenshot of one of my weather apps where it does not show the Google map and therefore does not work and another of sharing location by WhatsApp using Google Maps.
Has anyone who has experienced the same issue been able to fix it ??
Or has someone from XDA who has experienced the same issue been able to solve it?
