Hello. I have a Huawei U8650 with Gingerbread 2.3.3, Radio base 60501009 adn Kernel 2.6.35.7-perf.
The problem it is I have all volumen to the max. Call, multimedia, etc..
but If someone call me I can't even listen it from my pocket.. and the vibrator... in the calls... it is so soft...
It is anyway to touch gingerbread to make the sound more high?

Hey guys, well i was sitting here thinking about how much i could actually use the live wallpapers on my phone. I mean i am tired of using the newer android just to have the far and few features that are in it, to sacrifice SOOOOO much.
Am i alone? or Do you people wanna change this too?
I don't know where to start, i just realized that it hasn't been done, i mean we have ported it so far to the g1, and the run AWESOME when optimized.

Think its a good idea but would need to have live wallpapers off of a 1.6 rom, i suspect this is possible with the right lib files etc.Any idea what files the live wallpapers use?
And btw they once said it wasnt possible to fly and whos laughing now

Okay this is not Impossible i'd say, because we do have a working 3d cube live wallpaper running on donut i believe So, id say we could make this work somehow just dont shoot it all down instantly guys.

Honestly? This is most certainly *possible*, just silly. In my opinion, it makes a LOT more sense to work on fixing everything broken in 2.1 than to port 2.1 stuff back to what is effectively an obsolete version of android.
We're not *that* far off from a fully working version of 2.1 on Dream. In fact, the only thing I'm aware of are the GPU drivers. Maybe we just want to revert some of 2.1 to 1.6 to get those components working.
Has anyone tried to reverse engineer the video drivers from 1.6 and port it to 2.1?

Well we are SUPPOSED to get an official 2.x ROM for the G1, so I don't think anyone's going to jump on that idea :/

It's all good bro, we were all new at one time. I like running the i9000 re-oriented kernel by xcaliburinhand. This way you are able to run a i9000 ROM. The reason I like this kernel is because I have no need for any of the OC/UV kernels. The captivate is already fast as hell (especially with voodoo). DesignGears probably has the best kernel for froyo, but I haven't experimented with too many different ones. haha I am also new to flashing.
Remember: read, read, and keep reading. then post.

Kernel: Cog's kernel that comes with the ROM
I had no difficulty upgrading from Cog 9.1.1. Just make sure all your stuff is up-to-date, and make sure to follow directions... it's all pretty "cut and paste" past that.
Best kernel goes to the setiron imo, that universal lagfix is just unreal, coupled with the overclock/340mb of memory and the speedmod nothing comes close to it in terms of speed.
Best rom is debatable, when i decided to switch to froyo i compared all of the current froyo roms and decided on killer23d's rom. If you want the two combined get MikeyMike01's rom.
Setiron's compilation just has everything you could want. Im runing it with DRS 3.0 and its awsome.
The one I am using....no issues
however I have not tried any others. I may give Cyanogen a try if they build one but I like Cognition now.
Thread would be more valuable if a person 'voting' for a specific rom would list pros and cons:

Otherwise, lets just go browse the dev forum and do the usual reading.
I haven't done any specific kernal only updates, so unfortunately I don't have anything I can share of value.

He really should add it, everyone else is adding it to their rom. Not sure why he's making his users miss out on its amzing features.

Guys here the kernal it may solve sluggish problems, battery drain problems, video sound problems,death grip wifi problems, usb tethring, wifi tethring & skype problem..-- Little bit more tweaks--- remembers it is only for miui rom & htc desire s.

Really?! this is the way to appriciate the hard work of someone? i sure he worked on this pretty much. you could just could said that it didn't work or you dont like it.

I am absolutely convinced that he worked hard in the kernel, but at least he could try out before he announced. I have a couple of days waiting to appear a good kernel for this fantastic ROM and I am delighted to hear that in the end lost a lot of time to fix everything, because I was angry, and perhaps overreacted.
I apologize if I hurt someone, but this kernel still needs a lot of work to become a real kernel.

To say it doesn't work our and/or is crap won't assist anyone and is very un usefull
At least provide details and say what happened and what you tried, provide errors received our screen dumps etc

Hey guys, a man sought feedback and I gave it to him. Am I supposed to say that the kernel works well if you do not work? Perhaps a bit harsh but I already explained in previous post.
It works ok on my triumph. Overclocked to 1.9ghz. Why no talk on this.

Any issues with key mapping? Everything works ok?
That's the only problem so far just the settings, home, and back buttons are switched around. But I can deal with that for 1.9ghz.

Just type ideosX6_DooMKernel-v01 here on xda. Some people said there phone wont go past 1.5ghz. But I have had no problems at all even at 1.9ghz. Not yet anyway.

Hmm, I got 1898 for the stock, then 2428 with the alpha CM7.1. Would be interesting to see how the overclock adds to the Quadrant!

That's what I am hoping. In the meantime, I can tolerate remapping my brain for a while to have overclocking. I wish I knew what I was doing with programming things. I haven't programmed since Commodore and Apple IIe BASIC stuff back in the day. If it's just a matter of changing a few lines of code, I'd be happy to dive in and move things around to get the keys mapped correctly.
I just got a Quadrant 2063 with 1500mhz. The phone is running very well, no lags at all. I'll keep running this and keep you all posted.

Hi and yea it works ok on my phone. I dont use bluetooth and my wifi works as long as I dont turn it off and try to turn it back on. And im getting adjusted to the key switch. But this is great. Thank you.

I am using ROM Zeus version 6.
The rom look great fast and well designed.no BUGS at all.
What bothers me is that I can not use video call. It is very helpful at work and I saw ROMS that option is available. Is this something that's easy to add?
The second question. Is it possible to keep the screen ON all the time when the power is connected? It really helps when you're driving and not have to open the lock screen Every few minutes.
The third question is related to the MIUI and CM ROMs
Is it possible to fix the problem with BLUETOOTH?
This is something very important especially when driving
If the BLUETOOTH do not work, you should keep the phone in hand and it is not safe
The only problem that prevents me from using these Roms
Or maybe we should wait for the ICS PORT?

2. BlueTooth on cm7 or cm9 or miui: If you can't make it happen yourself, forget it. Until Broadcomm release the source codes and until a kernel developer adds it into a working infuse kernel, it is unlikely.
3. Screen on for driving: maybe use a dedicated GPS?

To get your screen to stay on you should be able to go Menu --> Settings --> Display --> Screen Timeout change to Never and you should be in business.

try aeon or try pulling the dialeractivity.apk from bigfau's aeon.
I think it is supported directly..i don't remember.
I think the dialeractivity.apk for doctorz rom in the captivate forum has it. whether or not it actually works with that icon mapping out the videotalk, i don't know.
