Okay, so first thing first, the kitchen is awesome. I'm surprised no one else has jumped onto it.
Secondly, I know I have to fix up other ROMs to pure awesomeness, but school is buttraping me and I barely have time to do anything that actually requires thinking.
That all being said, I want to launch my own open beta team. I don't have all the time to test everything and fix everything on my own. As part of the beta team, you can test and even send in fixes for the ROM. Sadly I have to depend on others ATM, but school is soon coming to a close and it gets terrible at this time.
Now with the good stuff
This ROM is another port, it's a modified version of Sense 2.1. Came from the Desire HD. Still cooking right now, but I'll be out with it in a few moments (assuming it works; if it doesn't, we try a new ROM. )
It's coming soon, so be patient! And if you'd like to beta test, help, drop hints, or anything, just say so, all help is appreciated

hey good luck with it.. i have just ported this myself and it has issues that r kernel related. this rom is uses ext4 make sure u edit ur ramdisk, u need to make init.glacier.rc for ext3 or else it will not boot. camera is really choppy and lacking trackpad wake.. i didnt go much further with testing... so if u need help with anything let me know, ill be happy to do what i can

Dude, I love you. (no homo). But you posted that too late. I flashed it and it didn't boot so I wen't back to my other ROM (just to sit there). I'll try that out, this ROM was incredibly sexy.

Well I can't release it yet :x it doesn't boot.. If I release it, I'd be making your devices a shiny fixable paperweight (although this does make a good paperweight).. I can't remember where i had even seen init.glacier.ro .. the kitchen does most of the work, but getting it to boot is my job.. once it at least boots, I'll release it hopefully it'll be by tonight. After that, I'll head back to RCMixGlacier to fight round two with the camera.

The RCMixGlacier went pretty well, minimal issues. This on the other hand is an ass kicker.
If you're looking testers, I'd be happy to jump on board... Just learning to use the kitchen myself, but will give you all the help I can...

what kernel r u using? did u modify the ramdisk correctly? it will boot, i alread had it booted...

Here we have DianXin OS by tapasoft, it is based on ICS, and its very unique in its own way, no its not miui, totally different approach. Bare in mind few apps(4-5) are in Chinese, but nothing that would impare the use of the phone.

No data working is a big turnoff to a lot of people. Tons of people rely on data working

Honestly dude, if you can't handle negative criticism then I'm not sure why you bother posting your work. In no way am I saying your roms are bad or anything, I haven't even tried them yet, but what I'm getting at is that there are always people that do not like it or whatever.
My advise to you is that you ignore those people, don't let negative comments discourage you and whatnot. Removing your gb release because people were complained about it seems a little childish. No offense

its not i cant handle it , i hate when someone just rates 1 start because 1 lausy thing docent work, its just stupid. and yes i had to make that comment to maybe if they understand. again some users are just ungrateful and blindly rate thread on how they feel. regardless im moving on from this device, hopefully this week.

Then you need to just remove the two Roms that don't have data if your just going to abandon them. I don't understand the point of posting them with no data if you don't plan on at least fixing them. Just saying.

I have this rom on my mytouch and it kills. This rom is sick. You shouldnt take it down. If you feel you cant handle it leave it.up for someone else to.pick up. Im pretty sure someone.can fix data as.it is still gingerbread. I know theres a loy.of.people.that would love this rom if you posted it back. There is always going to be people that dont.like somethibg or just hate on something.

this last rom v 3.8.0 is really amazing, so much speeeedddd, FIRST TIME i ever see that on a rom, they make it ! i am really surprised by this smoothness more then like butter, this speed, no lags at all, apps are opening so fast.
Is there a ghost in here ? never seen my device responding so quick.

before it was just fine, smooth, good rom and no real issues, with nice themes ...
But now, it is a HURRICANE man. winds are strong my friends !!!
let me describe my combination :
first step is note required and not asked by team, but i made it as i like clean installs.
1- format SD card and put back my important folders, and clokmodword as it contains 4ext backups.
( not required )
2- superwipe
(not required if coming from same rom )
3- flash v 3.8.0 elegancia ROM
4- flash ROM CLEANER script
( not require but i like to clean my rom before )
5- flash new ril back as i flash new radio before (working great for me).
6- flash kernel Anthrax betatest B, on demand 192->1,51hhz but many other great kernel too ...
7- Fash new ordroid gl v2 ( don't know is it is already in rom )
and Reboot !
8- configure rom and leedroid tweaks.
reboot and install mods and skins.
and this is tha BOMB !!! Running gorgeous elegancia custum skin i still get about lot of memory, and i have lots of app, about 70.
This is Hot !
no issues, no nothing.
if someone want to give a shot, you will love and learn what is being quite PERFECT.
NB : i am not comparing any roms, neither disrespecting other rom dev, every rom has good things and every dev make lots of good work. i am just a user, we girls like beauty and nice team with good works.
A big thanks to xda and to devs, to recognized themers for all this stuff and hard work.

To be honest any rom you flash on the sensation is just fast as others there is no better rom performance on one then the other only thing changes is visual such as themes and so on...

shakam, read procedure and you will see that this is not only the ROM that gave me a such result i very glad of.
I used Rom Cleaner to enlight the rom, get rid what i don't need, I used new gl driver from ordroid, i used a kernel i like but not on xda.
i tried different combinations ,different kernel and i did not get those results, thats' being said every phone is different and may obtain different result.
If one day someone want to try this way, he will see by himself if he sees a difference .... after doing a nandroid backup.
I have to say that man roms are good ,they all do good job, but I personnaly had a preference for elegancia for many reasons, and i love their last ROM 3.8.0 faster than usual, and booting very fast.
I use naked skin making it more fat and nice ( if you like themed rom )

I think the custom roms here works just fine for speed...
Sure people can use different combinations like you did but i dont think the difference would be THAT much different ...

well i has for me ....
I had first a noticed difference from elegancia 3.7.6 , to 3.8.0 ... (phoenix sense 4 )
and with those settings and kernel, gorgeous ( for me )
To tell you all , i have already as all users test several rom and this is the one who gave me the most satisfaction. i have tried bricked and faux kernel....
Not to disrespect the devs but i dont really see thee difference between kernels some says its power saving but i always end up getting same battery life..

That's not really true. Most are similar but there are noticeable differences in speed and smoothness between them. What have you tried, and what kernels have you used? If you think they're all the same that's fine, but don't tell others that because it's just not true.
Also, I don't see anything wrong with somebody posting good things about any specific rom. Maybe if they made the rom and are just self advertising, but what's wrong with saying "I have really good results with xyz rom..."?

Well maybe its just my eyes or idk but i find all roms really smooth so i can never tell if one is better then the other ...
And as far goes for the roms/kernal i tried about 10 roms / 3 kernels And for the kernels i just cant manage to get different battery life i get the same as others kernel...
And there is nothing wrong whit it i admit it but i can't understand the way he describes his setup its just like if he were running faster then a quad core phone clocked to 2ghz each lol.. ok you find a rom fast great... No need to overdescribe it ( is that even a word ? Idk )

May I suggest you to do clean install and follow step in the right order, take a time to read rom cleaner thread to learn how to use it. Enjoy

I'm not sure what kernels are all out there for JB but I would recommend trying a different one. Also, are you underclocking/overclocking your cpu? If so you might want to play around with those settings. Personally, I use Juice Defender ultimate and configure my cpu settings that way but have heard nothing but good things about setcpu. Hope this helps!

there's a reason why JB ROMs are named with an "alpha" or "beta"...expect bugs man, be glad that we even have JB. buy to make ya feel better, at least our JB ROMs are better than the Desire HD ones!

Yea im not complaining or anything I greatly appreciate all the effort that these guys are putting in. The only reason that I even brought it up was because it seemed that it might be an isolated issue. There was only one other person that reported this problem. I was just wondering if I needed to tweak something in /system?....

If so you might want to play around with those settings. Personally, I use Juice Defender ultimate and configure my cpu settings that way but have heard nothing but good things about setcpu. thanks, I think there is another kernel but it seems to be causing boot looping. I usually us no-thrills to change cpu settings and stuff like that but maybe I will give JD Ultimate a try. Thanks again for your input.

So far it seems that 0.0's JB port is the only one with a working camera
hey guys I think I found out why my phone kept shutting down ....i belive that my battery is going bad. It doesnt seem to hold a good charge anymore. I never thought that it was the battery but for some reason i decided to try another battery and.....no more random shutdowns.
So if anybody is experiencing something similar, be sure to check the simple stuff first:laugh::silly:

Grab an Anker battery (if it says compatible with Thunderbolt you're golden) and never look back.
I had issues with random shutdowns on both ICS and JB...turned out my CPU's min voltage was set to something under than 200 hz...so you might want to check that out.

I have been using the Arter kernel since Monday and haven't had any reboots, calls work fine and no audio issues.
I have only used arter97's kernel and have never had a reboot issue. Everything runs perfect with his kernel. It is fine to use with TWRP even though he recommends Philz.
Basically it is the only option right now if you want a working kernel.

That's like saying if something is not broke, it doesn't need to be fixed... that leads to stagnant development, a lack of choice, and no innovation. By that line of thinking, we only need one kernel, because only one doesn't cause reboots...
Why are we not still driving the model t car? It wasn't broke and it worked well... but new ideas evolved and look what we drive today... continual innovation is what got us there. Not everything that was created worked 100 percent initially... but the development process got us to where we are today. It's also what gives us so many choices in every product we buy.
Developers work on the bleeding edge of technology. Many times, in order to innovate, they have to work through issues that arise while developing. So if a few reboots a day happen in the process, as rooted users, we need to suck it up and help test for these developers and give them useable feedback.
If users are unable or unwilling to test new builds for developers, and subsequently deal with the perils of bleeding edge technology - then they should probably stay away from the xda forums and Rooted android.
It is incredibly unproductive to infer that a developer should walk away from developing and testing their kernel just because not everything works well on the first attempt. It may work fine on their device, but when other users add their setup tweaks and such, it may not work on their devices... that's part of the development process, learning what works and what causes issues, and it takes many people to give feedback and learn through the process.
Please don't say things to discourage developers from working on our device... I'm not a developer, but I understand the amount of hard work, knowledge, creativity, and perseverance a developer has to have in order to make new things work for us.
Rather than discourage them, why not pitch in and help them test for bugs, give positive feedback, and help be a part of the solution? That's what the Rooted android community is all about.
If a user is not willing to do that, they should stick with a stock device.
Personally, I'd like to Thank all of our developers for doing what they do... even if I don't use their specific developments in the long run, I still respect and appreciate their efforts. I try to test and give feedback whenever possible when they put something new out (which is difficult to keep up with because how much is being pumped out right now)

Have you had any issues with arter? On both my Note 5s it has a hard time waking up sometimes. I'm still using it though cuz it's the only one that doesn't have random reboots.

I'd like to see the developers stick around and continue to work on this device. If they don't feel respected or appreciated, they will likely move on.
You may want to Google e.q. and work on that a bit... it will help you go farther in life.
