Hey XDA, I was wondering if anyone out there would like to give me a hand for a college project I'm working on. I'm writing about Mobile Application Development for a Technical Writing class and I was wondering if anyone here would mind being interviewed for it? I know XDA is practically world famous for their involvement with Android so it would be nice if I could get a chance to talk to a seasoned software hacker from these forums.
You can reply here or just pm me. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I'm currently taking a class that involves interviewing an IT Professional for my final project. My original interviewee fell through and now I am approaching the deadline. I'm curious if there is anyone here on XDA who can help me out
What I am asking.
If there is an IT Professional preferably in a security or forensics position since that I am the degree I am working towards, but any IT Professional can help if they are willing.
I have a short set of questions for the interview mostly pertaining to time management and work/lifestyle balances.
I can either post the questions to you through direct message here on XDA or I can email you the Word document.
The class does ask for the name and company that the interviewee works for but if you are uncomfortable providing that info I can fabricate it.
I definitely appreciate any help I can get from fellow forum users
Head of security for the State Dept.?
Would that do?
Hi Everyone,
This is my first ever post, so please go easy on me! I am sorry if this is missed placed, if so please may you kindly direct me to the right place.
I have an idea for an app and was wondering if i could find someone interested in developing and bringing it to life. The main platform to start with would preferably be on android, then cross platform from there.
I have a few channels to market it once it is born and grow it with no problems.
I am willing to pay however the simple fact that i am searching in a forum instead of going direct to a company should say alot about my financial situation However the more it grows the more money we will make. (maybe a percentage agrrement on sales)
I will say it is a complex idea and will require an advanced developer.
I am looking for someone who loves what they do.
Please get in contact with me and we will go from there!
I was on the same boat & still thought xda-developer have a sub - forum where willing devz & those are in need have an specific terminal, dreaming for because it's xda !

Hi there. I've been a member of XDA for a few years, brought here to learn how to muck about with my old first-generation Galaxy S. The experience has been extremely educational and I've learned lots of things about mobile devices, how they work and the various miscellany related to the industry.
Partially because of my experiences here on XDA, I decided to come here and seek data! For a school project I'm working on a look at the state of open-source on mobile devices, which Android will naturally be a prominent part of. As a part of this project--which spans across several essays that will eventually be posted to a blog--I need to interview an expert in the field of whatever it is I'm researching.
To that end I'd like to get in touch with a Recognized Developer here on XDA for an interview, preferably over Skype or some other instant messaging client, so I can easily record the conversation and implement the interview into my articles and essays.
The requirements for the interview are pretty simple--it just needs to be a short interview with an expert in the field focused on by my research topic. The questions I intend to ask range from overall broad questions about the state of open-source on mobile devices and more specific questions about Android, rooted app development and/or ROM development and things of that nature.
Anyway if anyone's interested in doing something like this please let me know, either by replying to this thread or by sending me a PM.
I am new to the world of android development since I have learned what rooting is, how it can be used, and the potential to help others is unlimited in the world of development. I am looking to start a career in the world of development, and Android development has me extremely interested in what I can possibly do with such a useful and necessary skill set. I know basically nothing at all, but I can read fairly well and follow basic instructions within a set of guidelines. I am sure most of the developers that post in xda forums are busy with actual careers and lives of their own, but if anyone is willing to teach me what I should know to become a developer, I would be extremely appreciative. I am looking to learn the basics of how android works, how devices communicate, how apps are made and interpreted by the operating systems that use them, and much more. Anything is helpful, even if someone can teach me which questions I should actually be asking. Needless to say that this is kind of embarrassing to be asking, but someone Please teach me if your time permits. Everyone has been extremely helpful and understanding. Help me work next to some great minds so I can hopefully reach the same level myself. Thanks to everyone reading this.
Hi
I have been asked to evaluate the viability of a mobile phone for a kickstarter project, I know nothing about software so I am looking for a little advice initially and then leading onto help developing the phone for the right people. I know details are thin but I have to be careful and only talk to people who are genuinely interested in being part of the project. My guidance will be very vague and generic to start with. UK based preferred. Thank you in advance.
