I gather you haven't even attempted to search or even browse the dev section for a solution to your problem. Probably haven't looked around in the CoreDroid thread, either, I suppose, correct?

Thanks for that... But yes I have looked everywhere and can't seam to find a Good Fix that works.....If you could find one be my guest..

Don't know if there is a definitive guide, but you could start by reading this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1143501

Thanks for the quick reply , had read the thread then went to look for ginger break but seen in the later posts that it didn't work on 2.3.3 so left it alone. Was kinda lost after that

Superuser is an application it should be in the app list if installed.

Well, try installing Titanium Backup from market.. if when running it it ask you if allow it or not and it let you allow it it means that you are super user
Thanks for the help lads Super User is indeed in the apps list. Think I'll run with the stock at the mo till I get my head round roms and kernels

I got the same problem I have been looking for a long long time....I been everywhere..I am a newbie...I don't need any one to piss for me, but just because some of you find this easy to do and follow, it isn't for the newbie..We have to look up abbreviations and sometimes wish someone could piss for us..and i never seen an hboot .99 before and not one forum says to upgrade from .99 hboot...And like you say..I don't want to FK UP AGAIN ...so yes it has to be spelled out for me.
Sorry that dude is so smart and I am so stupid...But thanks for asking...because it is a question that you asked that got me in the right direction finnally...So I say again Thanks and sorry I am so friggin stupid...
I think everyone just needs to calm down....
But normally, you should look to see if theres a root for your phone by searching for the Android version, not the hboot version, thats probably why you haven't gotten any hits.
So having said that, you're on 2.3.4 right?

I've tried the official tmobile radio, one of the old Europe radioas and the new 4.0.4 radio, they all worked fine for me. 4.0.4 being the best.
Try wiping and flashing again, make SURE you wipe System, and factory reset. Heck, do it twice just to make sure.
I don't think anyone else is having problems.

I got it to work. I took out the sim card for a few seconds and put it back in and next time i was out in the open it said 4g. Thanks for the help though, much appreciated.

Repartition System to make it larger?

Could a dev look at this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=717874
and tell me if this would be able to be done on the inspire 4g? Im running a sense rom and need to make the system partition larger for Google now. I searched and found this but its in the G1 forums and having a hard time deciphering it all(so not a dev lol) any help would be greatly appreciated!
PS I searched in this forum using various wording of the above title and didnt come up with anything.

For our phones repartitioning is done by Hboot. Flash a new hboot to repartition the phone for the base you want to use.
