New Android Market (3.0.26) - EVO 4G Themes and Apps

New Android Market (3.0.26)
That’s right, guys. Just download from your phone’s browser and install like a normal app. It’s currently working great on my Evo 3D although I’m not sure if this will work on phone’s equipped with Android 2.1 and lower (per Google) but I don’t think that will stop you from trying, right? Let us know if it works for you! Enjoy!
Oh — and if the new Market ISN’T your cup of tea or starts to act a little wonky, you can always go back to the old Market following these simple steps:
Go into your phone’s Settings
Select “Manage Applications”
Select the “All” tab at the top
Scroll down to Market app and select it
Select “Uninstall Updates”
Now have your old Market back!

Noob needs a rundown

I just received my Tablet today and need some help. I am just running the stock 3389 OTA and am trying to figure out how to get the full market. I do not know how to get Gapps either. Looking at all the directions it mentions google services framework, but there is no google services framework in system applications. What am I missing here. I really want to run my stock system for a week while I wait on my sd card to get here from Amazon. Any help would be appreciated.
1. Full MArket ?????
2. Gapps ?????
Hi,
Welcome aboard ...
Take a look at the enhancement pack:

The 1st post in that thread also has the steps for doing the market fix (to see more apps in market).

Thanks I now everything up and running except the market. I am not getting a error on the market.
1) Run market
2) Open settings->applications->system applications
3) Force close Google Services Framework, then Force Close Market
4) Go back to Google Services Framework, then clear data
5) Run market and confirm you get an error
6) Reboot
7) Wait 2 minutes and try Market to get all applications
8) If this doesn't work, look at the directions again and make sure you follow them exactly
Okay I figured it out. Thank You for the Info. Now I just want to know how to change wallpaper in classic view

Do you mean choosing the wallpaper to one of the ones that's included, or to add completely new wallpapers?
If the former, long press someplace empty on the home page, then when you get the popup, select "Wallpaper". Then select "Wallpaper" or "Live Wallpaper". Then select a wallpaper.
If the latter, I don't know how.

All new Play store(former Market) 3.5.15

What's New
1. You now have the Installed and All tabs you can swipe between. The former one is what we used to have before - it lists all apps installed on your device. The latter lists all apps you've ever installed in case you want to download them again or travel down the memory lane. This is quite handy, and I've seen this list before in the Play Store on the web, so it's great to get it here in the mobile app.
2. The All tab contains a handy dropdown with all your accounts (if you added more than one) and lets you switch between them very easily (as opposed to clicking Menu, etc).
3. The list of apps you have purchased but uninstalled or haven't installed yet has moved to the All tab... which means it's now mixed in with the free apps you no longer have on the device. I'm not sure how I feel about that - on one hand, I like that it's gone from the first list, but ideally there should be a way to filter paid apps from free in the All list. Maybe someday...
4. A few of the stock apps that apparently never got linked to the Play Store before got identified and picked up this time, and updates to such orphans were waiting for me when I fired the Store up. I've complained about this very bug in my last rant, and it looks like someone listened.
5. Just like in the web Play Store:
- reviews now show the device used by the reviewer
- reviews can now be sorted by Most Helpful first or Newest first
- you can now filter reviews to show ones for the latest version of the app as well as made by only the device you are using
Thanks to androidpolice.com
Now download and enjoy!
Some screenshots would help

#New Android Market Let Your device lag ?
#New Android Market Let Cannot purchase by MarketEnabler ?
#New Android Market Driving You CRAZY ??
You know, New Market is Really Awesome, but...
We have some reason to use the old Market,
because :
1. Some countries can't purchase app/game.(That's sxcks)
2. Fast loading speed.(New Market=Laggy stuff)
3. Simple User Interface.
4. Have 'Just In' area.(Get new item)
5. No update purchased apps issue.
In some country's Market, If you slide down at 'Just In'
cause the 'process com.android.vending' error, there also fix.
Easy to use :
Just click button new/old market, and Reboo
If you want to buy apps but can not see any pt to get effect.
Purchase item in Market,
Remeber after reboot, you need run Market Enabler first and go Setting
->long press T-Mobile(us)->Set fake provider now, then run the Market,
and you could see/buy the purchase item.(only working on Market version 2.3.6)

[Q] Apps not downloading

I don't use my A700 all that much but I have noticed recently that none of my downloaded apps from the play store are automatically updating as they used to do. I have done a search of the internet and found others that have had a similar problem but none of the fixes have worked for me.
I am using Adroid 4.1.1, kernel version 3.1.10+ and build number Acer_AV051_A700_1.052.00_PA_CUS1. I have checked for updates but the tablet says none are available.

First off, I moved your post to Q & A forum.
As with your issue, going to Settings and checking for updates, is only for the Operating System, Not for apps.
Several changes to the Play Store in updating things. You can open your Play Store (old Market) and select your Installed Apps icon. This will tell you what apps need updated, and you can d it from there (best to have a good Wifi connection as I think you have many updates).
As with Auto-Updating, I believe each app you have installed has this available as an option. Normally, I select it when I install an app from the Play Store. So check your Play store options.

I guess that is where the problem lies. I go to Play Store but I cannot find a Installed Apps icon.
I went to settings and see "Auto-update apps" under the General category does not have a check mark next to it. I tapped it and made sure that "Auto-update apps at any time. Data charges may apply" is checked. Still no updates.
Thanks for your help
I´m not quite sure but I think I have a similar problem: Each time I want to install/update an app I have to kill all Google tasks in settings. I am on stock 4.1.1 rooted.

With Play Store, select the "down arrow" in the upper right corner. This takes you to "installed apps" and "All apps you have downloaded. Go to Installed Apps, and you can manually update them. Also, if you select an app, you can select auto updating. :good:

Don't have an answer for that one. However, you can kill the auto sync in quick settings rather than going directly into settings.

Thanks MD, that helped things along. I completely missed the "INSTALLED" at the top of the screen which does not surprise me in my advanced age.
Autoupdate is enabled for all of my apps but I still don't see the downloading being displayed in the lower right corner as I used to see in the past and a notification that an update for an app had completed. Maybe I am being impatient.
Thanks again for your help.
