Hi. Iv been reading around but can't seem to find any call recording apps that work with the Desire S. Anyone know of any?
Thanks
I tried Total Recall from Killer Mobile. It records 2nd side, but more quietly. In Android Market, there is trial.

Has anyone been successful using ICR or some call recording program on the HD2. I use to use ICR on every Winmo phone but heard it doesnt work on HD2? Any suggestions/opinions?

Hi all
I'm new here so don't shoot me if I ask something soo stupid
I've been working on a project to capture the audio stream during a voice call on android.
I've successfully done all the rest of my application but then I ran into a problem:
there is no voice downlink during a phone call.
I've tried and tested every possibility that I could find on the internet and finally turned to using the root mode of my Phone.
The idea came to me when I found "AirVoice" (sorry being new here i can't post outside links :S) application that claims to be able to record both ends of a phone call + the comments on his website seem to confirm this.
I only rooted my phone yesterday following the great instructions of amon_ra (thanks a lot)
so I don't know what I can do and how to integrate it to my code.
I would like to know if there is a rooted access to the audio streams of a phone call?
Best regards
Jason

Sorry I can't offer help but I had a question about your app: can it record streaming audio or does it only record from the mic? I would like an app that can record off the Sirius stream / other streams.
Thanks,
Tony
Since OneNote stops recording when the screen is locked I need an app that can record long lectures while the phone is locked.
I've tried a few but want to know if anyone has found a good one. I don't care how much it costs
I have found rapid recorder to work well. I tried a few others but RR works and the screen can lock and it still records. Other apps distort the audio when you record for more than 8 minutes. Getting the audio file onto a computer is another story. Some apps use dropbox transfer, but that is a hit or miss at times. Never worked for me TBH
pocket recorder seems pretty good,I'm using the free version...
The UI is pretty awesome and the app is mango compatible.
I use Voice Memos Lite, works great!
I tried to make a call yesterday on Skype, but the video quality that my friend was receiving was terrible.
Is there any adjustment that can be done to make it better quality?

Same on my gf's Tab 10.1, the video call is terrible and looks like it is being shot on a 10 year old mobile phone. Apparently this problem began with the latest update in April, before that video was great. Why it has not been addressed yet I do not know but I have found several people on forums talking about it.
Video Skype on my Galaxy S2 phone is still as great as can be so it would appear that this affects Tab users only.
Unfortunately, you and my gf will have to wait for the next Skype update and hope this is address.
Oh, I see.
That problem is from the skype itself and not the camera from the tab then?
I'll give a try on my S3 and see how it goes!
Thanks for the reply!

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, this problem is on my gf's Tab so I've not spent much time trying to sort it out!!
Yes, the camera on the Galaxy Tab is much better than the video quality that Skype now uses. If you look at the stats on a video call when using High Quality video setting then it says the res is 240x320. If you then change the setting to Low Quality and check it then it is the same; 240x320, so it looks like they either took out the high quality option or it is glitched.
Seeing as there hasn't been an update for a while, what I've done is rolled back the Skype version to 2.6.0.95 and it has High quality video again. When I selected the Low Quality option it is the same quality used for both options in the current Skype version.
Not an ideal fix but it will work until Skype address it themselves, however there are several huge faults with Skype on Android that have not been acknowledged and fixed by them in over a year (such as video calls not working from Android to any Mac).
Sorry I cannot post a link to the Skype version, google it and you will find it on some forums. Uninstall your current version of Skype. Copy this version to your Tab memory card. Download Astro File Manager from Google Play store and install the .apk file with that.
You may now hit that Thank You button!
Im wondering why there is no skype call recorder for android? There's countless number of voice recorders, phone call recorders on google play market and none of them works with skype. Is it because no one needs it or its impossible to develop such an application?
Pls. Try these apps for free in google play store but im not sure if its already stable... there some problems.... based on the users reviews...

Unfortunately neither of them is compatible with a samsung tablet i tested. Also according to customer reviews those programs are not working properly (recording only one side, ect). Im trying to figure out whether there's a reliable recording program that would work flawlessly on most tablet brands, otherwise this trouble with android may not be worth it and I should probably buy a netbook (despite disadvantages)
Did you manage to find any app? Cheers
