How does it not? It's a standard Android feature.
Menu -> Settings ->Display -> Animation -> No animations
Or did you mean the Launcher Menu (Drawer)? Because you aren't being very specific.

***IMPORTANT***AFTER U INSTALL U LL SEE A DUMB PHONE ICON AND A WEATHER ICON I GUESS SO TO REMOVE THAT PRESS OPTIONS THEN SENSE SETTINGS,IN THAT UI SETTINGS,THEN CHECK TINT AB AND SELECT AB SCALE FACTOR TO 1***IMPORTANT***
and then u are all done....start using!!!
Sense Launcher Donut.apk 1.6 users download donut version...
SenseLauncher.apk 2.0+ download the sense launcher.apk

ACTUALLY MADE FOR NON HTC'S!!

I want to know how to activate the action of the phone space in the dock
Looks cool and nice! However, when I tried it out on my milestone, the Phone icon is overlapping the "Phone" button on the dockbar, and the right button beside it is overlapped by a small "flipcloc-like" icon. I hope it gets fixed. Keep it up!
fixing the icon
go to market download Expresso UI icon pack
press and hold on desktop
select custom shortcut
select "pick your activity"
select phone
click on the icon to the left of where "pick your activity" is
select "Expresso UI etc"
next to the top "^" there are like 2 transparent icons on either side of it
select that and press ok
now on your desktop you'll have a blanked icon with (phone) under neath of it
Drag that down to the launcher bar that has the phone overlapping it
release
(now you have sense like bottom bar) do this again for the settings i just went to app's > settings...but if you want you can go to custom activity and have it pointed to a specific sub menu of your settings.
This is the closest to sense i've gotten on my NS4G, but hoping theres a flashible zip for those of us who have an ADW-EX license!!
But thanks for the apk man!!!

Works just great.....thanks for this great share!!!!
I just picked this up today so if there is anything new anyone else has found please tell me lol...but as for the old icons still being there a better fix i found is to find a Transparent .gif and create a custom shortcut via longpress on home screen and select what you want it to do and change the icon to your .gif

All you CPU Settings are there.
As the Developer States "WARNING: Dragons Ahead!"
Changing these settings can make your phone and apps not function correctly! sluggish phone or studdering in music apps to list a couple.

Yup guys you can change your system animations:thumbup: via this app u am not the developer I just support this app and would like to share this one with you guys
Description:
This app will make Theming your phone as easy as tapping on a button. The concept is easy:
You tap the MOD you want, and Framework Tool will apply it for you. Currently there are about 40 functions, such as animations, dialogs, backgrounds and other aspects of your phones or tablets system, but it is in beta state, and more will be added in the next hours, days, weeks, months. Now it is your turn! Take control of your phone and make it fit to your mood and style, use hot features as the possibility to use your own backgrounds (in the Settings application as an example) for the system (3.0+), with just a few taps, and no computer required! This application needs ROOT ACCESS and R/W on /system ! This App can now run on versions below 4.0, BUT all modifications are designed for Android 4.0, so they may not work as intended on versions below that!
Warning: Framework Tool does change framework files which may not be compatible on some ROMs or devices. Always make a backup before installing and use at your own risk.
Here's the Link
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...m=organic&utm_term=framework+tool+google+play
Please press thanks if I helped you

No it just changes system animations it must have happened if you have chosen a heavy animation on a mid end device
Well I don't think the Gnex is a mid end device... And the only change I made is activity switching to ios sliding.

Bad luck then try applying animations again or instead try a reboot I have always used it on a fresh flash so it was never the case for me
I advice you to use it on a new flash...
You can also set the speed for animations using Framework Tool, in case you they are to slow for you. On start screen open menu and then you will see.
Thanks for yor responses guys.
I don't mean the animation is slow, I mean it takes a lot of time (3 or 4 seconds) to start the animation. Once started, it goes smooth.
This happens only sometimes. I'm trying to figure if this issue is ROM related (pa 3.1). I'm going back to aokp and try again.
Thanks!!

Technically, android waits for the app you touched to draw the first image, then animates to it.
Another thing: You are on Android 4.2 right? Then the changes Framework Tool applies to the framework (in the aspect of app start animation) are "ignored".
The only impact on performance is if you change the "standard background", if it is very high-res, if will definatly have an impact on performance.
Sincerely,
Janis Elfert (dev of Framework Tool)
PS: As always, if you like my app, make sure to rate it!
works awesome!

SCREENSHOTS:
Check These Out!
About OdysseyHybrid:Odyssey is a simple clean and smooth rom with the basic features but none of the over the top extras.I feel as though a lot of custom roms take it to far and have so much to them that we can't use it all. We all love extras but there is a line that a lot of custom roms cross that seem to make them a little less user friendly. So we've created Odyssey. We will of course add lots more to this rom based on demand from users But all the while continuing down the path of simplicity. I plan on rapid releases and full support for this . I hope you all enjoy it..

It's the old Cyanogen Popup KB bug Josh. Just go to Settings/Language & Input and turn HW KB off. Your Popup KB will be right there.
I'm working on a flashable fix for that & a couple of minor things but right now am trying to figure out how to get APKTool compatible with JB 4.3. We'll get there though.....

Hey Matt. Sorry for the delay. I'm using APKToolv3 just like always but AGAIN Java updated me. I've gone back & brought everything up to date with each other (I thought..) but still get some compile errors. Happens on SOME 4.2.2 & all the 4.3's. I saw where one guy had a similar issue & got around it by decompiling with 1.4.2 & recompiling with 1.4.3...but just been covered up with stuff & haven't gotten back to experimentation......yet.

Someone else asked the developer that and his explanation was that at that time, it was the most advanced & updated 4.3 ROM. An explanation of "developer's choice" IMHO.
BTW....sorry about the delays. I've been so swamped at home AND at work it's just been tough to get much going other than that lately. Have faith, I promise I've been trying.
Is there any way to slow down the app drawer's opening and closing speed? I prefer it to be smooth and slow instead of lightning fast haha.
