Can anyone tell me what is used for the CPU control? Is it a home brewed app or another .apk? Looks eerily similar to No Frills.

Try to use settings
Settings -> Cyanogenmod Settings -> Performance
All you CPU Settings are there.
As the Developer States "WARNING: Dragons Ahead!"
Changing these settings can make your phone and apps not function correctly! sluggish phone or studdering in music apps to list a couple.

Nowhere in the OP does he ask where it is. His question is about the app, not where it is.
I don't know the answer unfortunately though.

download SetCPU or Droid Overclock from the market
[-dubsx-]
from XDA for Android
This really was just a question of home cooked by cm, or borrowed. I have setcpu and no frills, and both work fine, depending on the Rom. Thanks for your replies.
Dubs, you do good work.

How does it not? It's a standard Android feature.
Menu -> Settings ->Display -> Animation -> No animations
Or did you mean the Launcher Menu (Drawer)? Because you aren't being very specific.

Not for me...press menu-my apps. The apps are now labelled installed/not installed rather than purchased.
I was about to post this app here, you beat me
New market isn't much slower than old market to me, the new UI is so much better that it's worth it imo.
Maybe people keep deleting the market cache all the time, then of course it will take longer to load.

Just started using it, I like it so far, loads of custom options!
Issue found in system Setting, selecting List of apps.
1. Select Paranoid Settings
2. Scroll to List of Apps.
3. Select List of apps.
I am receiving a, Unfortunately , Settings has stopped message.
Have also received the same message when Selecting Data Usage.
Also what is the best logcat app to use?
Also running the tablet configuration as "small" there is an UI fail message.
@mguelph use alogcat from play store
The data usage is a cm9 issue but the app listing in paranoid settings would be a porting issue

which is somewhat odd, because when I first installed and ran the 2nd CM9 release independent from AOKP or Paranoid, I had no system menu issues, so has to be something in the porting.
Guys noted I will check all the bugs for you
Anybody have an idea for fitting the Gmail compose/reply window in the screen better. The left side gets cut off and you can't get to it. Same thing when trying to set custom lockscreen apps, I can't get to the right middle one.
I have it on Tablet Mode Optimized, as I had the phone FC with it on Phone Optimized.
This is a cool ROM though! Thanks Team Unknown!

Found a fix for the fitment, under user default dpi, I set it to stock dpi tablet and everything fits great now, however everything is much smaller, but I like it, and you can adjust font size after that. Thanks for the info...it certainly pointed me in the right direction, even if individual apps aren't adjustable right now.

I am seeing a lot more lag with the update than before....not sure if I should just do a full wipe.
Was the modified build.prop included in the rom update? Or do I have to reinsert it after the new rom install?
look you must do a full wipe and about the build.prop you can still have to push if you want the extra benefits

Loving this ROM, thanks! I am not seeing the "recents" icon, is that WIP?
Just an update on the 4.0.4 from Cyanogen 9 developer fixed the front facing camera preview at least would be nice too. This would be a nice add-on for the next update. I really love this ROM!

Same way you do it with stock - you have to open up the app drawer, hit the menu button, then select edit. You may need to switch the view type first - do that, and then you can drag things from the app drawer into the dock and vice versa.
Hey again -
To the few that do try this rom out - feel free to drop suggestions for other things to try and work in (beyond lockscreens of course). While I do have one known (and one unknown) surprise ready, I'd like to get a few more things worked into an update if at all possible. I can't say I'll be able to work in what is suggested, but I'll give it a shot at least
Having an updated tw launcher or a different launcher with the ability to have 5 or 6 apps in the dock would be all that I would ask for. Everything else is fantastic. Thanks for all your efforts.

Yeah I've thought about such things, but I always circle back to the idea that there are so many great 3rd party launchers out there I should let it be to encourage folks to explore those options lol. I also am leery on putting in a launcher that has a pay version or has the whole ask-for-permission hassle (that's not really a hassle), but I'll keep my eyes peeled for something different.
I am of course open to suggestions

Seems a good ROM, thank you. One thing, Google now didn't seem to be there/working for me. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be but I added it without any bother so it's hardly a real issue. Oh also what does the 'swag' button do on quick toggles. It seemed to just take me to download mode. Anyway, thanks again

Google Now should have been working - all the stuff from the referenced link was added for it anyway. How is it different now vs. when you first flashed the ROM? Could you get me a screenshot of what it looks like for you now? Perhaps I missed something...
LOL on the swag toggle - I meant to change how that behaved. The toggle is there for fun only, but to mess with people on the Gingerbread build I had it set to force download mode if you turned it on while auto-brightness is turned on - I forgot to change that, my bad
EDIT: Derp... I see what I forgot... Ok, it will be fixed in 2.1, sorry about that For those not wanting to go and flash anything, all you need to do is delete /system/app/GoogleQuickSearchBox_USA.apk and then reboot and all will be well. My bad.
Google now just wasn't there before. It was standard search. Now I've added it mine looks like this:

Yep - everything in that is already in the rom, I just forgot to remove an apk. D'oh.
First off - thanks to those that have offered some feedback on this, it is very much appreciated. That being said, I know not many have tried this out but I'm getting an update together, so I wanted to ask if anyone has noticed anything else not working quite as they expected or anything that should be changed/added/removed...?
I haven't come across anything I wanna do with the launcher yet, but I have cleaned up a few things in the toggles, Google Now is now working as it should, I fixed another little bug I found when you first turn on wifi after flashing... outside of that is there anything people have found that I should address before updating? No worries if not - like I said not many have tried this out, but I'd like to get all the little issues ironed out before updating if possible.
