before I installed google map street view I read the reviews and did see reports of ppl not being able to uninstall. Although there was some other posts saying that to uninstall it you had to go to maps and click uninstall updates.
Well after doing a factory reset and reformatting both internal and external memory, google map street view is still installed. I updated the stock maps and then clicked uninstall updates, yet the street view is still installed? any suggestions?

I could be wrong, but I think that street view is now bundled with maps, navigation, and places. Just out of curiosity why do you want to remove street view?

I like it, I just got paranoid seeing that it didn't get uninstalled after doing a factory reset. Where did you read it's now bundled with maps?

Because if you did a factory reset and it won't delete then most likely Google is making it a requirement to have street view bundled with the maps app. I just checked and I also have street view installed on my phone and I've never even downloaded it. If you look in the Android market its like one of the only apps that you can't uninstall. You know how most apps show an install/uninstall button? Well this one doesn't have one.

If you seriously want it gone, you could delete the .apk from /system/app or use Titanium Backup to do the same thing. But it's a system app, so it can't be uninstalled via the usual method.
Why is that tracking you?

Not working for me either. Followed the link, then opened the market when it gave me the option of using the browser or market. Had Music, even downloaded a few of the freebies, rebooted, and no Music in the market. Bummer.
My market updated itself earlier today after I updated my ROM. Possibly just clearing caches would work. When I opened the market I had to accept
a user agreement and then music was added.
Inspire 4G - CM 7.1 Nightly - TalonACE
I was able to get it by clearing cache and data.

Didn't work for me but this did:
Go to the desktop (web) version of the market from your phone and click on the music tab on the left. Then when the popup comes up choose to open it with android market, not browser. You should get another popup to accept the terms of the market and viola! you now have the new market, no reboot needed. Here's a link to the music section just in case.
https://market.android.com/music
Edit: actually you may still need to reboot. The new market didn't stick for me until I rebooted. I would just reboot from the market to be safe.

but when I wanted to install an app made by my friend, the phone told me my memory was full and directed me to the 'manage apps' settings, where I noticed that there was another Gnex button..
I tried wiping cache+dalvik cache and I even fixed permissions, but neither of these things worked. So please help me!!
Using a CM10 based ROM maybe?
Go to Settings > System > Physical buttons > Show app button (or something similar, uncheck it)
Then reboot.

Without an error message or the name of the app, we can't help you.
Edit: Nevermind, seen your message. Are you trying to pirate an app per chance? If you have any .odex files, in /data/app with the same name as the app, which could get created if you're trying to pirate an app, that could pose a problem with the install.
Make sure you have enough space on your "external" memory too, not just internal. Some apps will need to install additional data to the SDcard and show you that warning.

Nope, its not a pirated app, still thanks, think I'm going to flash a new rom, as it also is getting buggier and laggier. But still I would like to thanks you!

Hello XDA.
This issue has been bothering me for a while now. When I go to the Play Store hit the menu button and go to "my apps", there sometimes a few apps that show up that I never downloaded.

These apps show up every now and then as downloaded. I don't speak Russian, thus, I don't download apps that are in Russian. I was wondering if maybe someone uses my account, and is downloading apps to their device, or if this is an issue with the Play Store...? I use a very secure password, it literally is a bunch of random numbers, letters, and symbols. Any help with resolving or explaining the issue would be appreciated!

Change your pw and see if it does it again?
It could be a bad app that you installed is downloading other apps by itself?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk²
My first thought. The apps never appear on my phone though. Some kind of botnet then? A bad app downloads another app to use your account information to download and rate it, then un install it? Those other apps don't have any reviews that involve words, and they all have 10,000+ downloads with 4-5 star ratings. Seems suspicious to me.

You've probably just solved it yourself. The tricky part comes now when you have to figure out what app did it.

I don't know if it was this app or CM10.1 messing up, bu tright after installing this app and trying to add it to the home screen (and it said no room was available because I missed the folder), every app force closed, then pretty much all of my apps data was erased. I mean for every app.
I had to update google play services after rebooting too.

Hi there. Recently, ads that look like the image above have been popping up insistently on my phone. Every single time i pick it up after an interval, the ad pops up and takes up the whole screen, unless i click "no, thanks" or "Back" or "Home" it won't go away.
I'm getting very frustrated and i have uninstalled about 90% of my apps. I installed cleanmaster to clean my system cache to get rid of any unwanted files and i run it all the time. I've also tried all the ad blockers/detectors on the play store but they cannot detect any sign of malicious software.
Any advice? I would really hate to do a factory reset but i would like to know the cause of the problem, if it's an app. What's the point of having an android if i can't install any apps?!
Any ideas on how i can get to the root of the problem? It's frustrating as f***.
what happens if you press the recents button? does it show any app or just not respond?

It opens a webpage. One of those annoying "contest" websites where you are asked to do quizzes or enter your number to win a prize.

Hum... It's on your side, not Android... You obviously downloaded something...
It's an app for sure, but we cant help you unless you show us the list of your remaining apps.
When you find it, just uninstall it. No need to clear cash or anything, it wont make a difference anyway. And if you got it from google play, you should report it since it is against their guidelines. https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479847?hl=en
If it is not from the play store e.g. some pirate app, I dont feel sorry for you... If it's a legitimate app from outside the playstore you should raise your concern with the developer.
