Is it possible for rooted stock roms to add L2CAP-support or do you really have to use other kernels?
I would like to use the stock rom instead of a custom rom.

Just flashed Coredroid 2.4 to my Sensation a couple of days ago and it's working great and just wanted to know what Kernels are Compatible with Coredroid 2.4 for the Sensation.
flash Sense 3.5 rom now is the best.
I need to know what kernels will work with COREDRIOD

I have tried most of them but not the latest ones. For me the bricked kernels were the best of all of them but I eventually reverted to stock.
Remember to always come from a stock kernel before flashing any of the kernels on coredroid for the best results and avoid boot loops. Nandroids are your best friends!!
Have fun!

I did the same, I was running Bulletproof but now I'm on stock.
Bricked kernel is pretty fast and makes everything smooth.

I always use bricked. Works with most custom rooms out there. I even changed custom rom that bricked kernel doesn' work.
With coredorid 2.4 I use to have bricked 0.91.
Now I 'm trying latest insertcoin with latest bricked after energy with 0.91.
Why did you guy's go back to the stock what was wrong with the other kernels

I'm not sure what their probs were but mine would freeze up (white screen w\ Htc logo). I personally would stay with stock no probs to speak of with it.
I've been running CoreDroid since ver 1.4.
To install the stock kernel do I just download it and flash it?

Hey guys,

HTC Sensation.

Any ROM developed for your device should work. Rooting isn't necessarily needed to change your ROM either. Rooting just gets you root access; you can use software to install a ROM without first rooting.
No, generally you can install ROM's based off of Stock ROMs but only specific to your device (or very near, ARC vs ARC S for example)
Custom ROM's usually require you to H-OFF / Unlock your bootloader
Thanks for all the help

There is no "official" stock Rom..."official" would be an RUU...what carrier do you have? If T-Mobile, does your phone have a crap load of extra T-Mobile junk apps on it? If not, he probably installed a Rom based on the 4.1.1 leak, which could be a few different roms here. What does it say under Settings, About, Software Information? Do you still have a custom recovery?

looks like you are on the virtuous ville+ rom
which is based on the leaked ruu for the one s se aka ville+ which explains your signature "sent from htc one s special edition"
if you look at the screenshots in the thread and the build number etc. you will see that its identical to yours.
if you are on stock rom your build number should be
3.16.401.8 (for the unbranded rom)
so, no, you are not on stock rom.
My wifes is OEM 2.3. What OS can this phone operate at without sluggishness, and unrooted, S-Off, unlocked etc?
Will it do JB 4.3 comfortably?
Can this be done as an OTA?
It can ota to ics. Android 4.0

Yea only ICS ( 4.0.2 if i'm not mistaken ) via OTA upgrade. I'm currently sporting Sultans 4.4.2 KitKat which runs unbelievably well.
Hello ,
if you want to use custom ROMs, guys here have made this device a legend .
most ROMs are great .
I advice you to use ViperS 5.1.0 (android 4.1.2) , it's the most stable ROM and it has the best camera .

Give some praise for ARHD 7.3 and Revelation too.
