I am running Prime 1.5 and recently updated my kernel from netformer to clemsyn 1.6/12.
I did wipe the cache before installation.
Since then my battery widget.... minimalistic text... does not update.
Meaning when i turn on the tablet I get an accurate reading but it will not update.
I checked the stock battery widget and it's doing the same thing.
Prior to the update they were working fine.
Anyone run into a similar issue and if so were you able to resolve It?

Hello,
I am using a Non rooted Rogers canada samsung captivate.
I recently upgraded through KIES to Froyo.
The two issues I am having are:
1) Wifi, i use juice defendor, so when i enter my house wifi is enabled automatically, many times, there is an error, and i cant click wifi on until a reboot, then it works fine for a while until it will happen again.
2) The notification bar doesn't slide down at times, and the only way to fix this is by rebooting. These two things are very annoying as they happen on a daily basis, or every other day.
I have seen these issues happen to others, so I know im not the only one, but I cant find a solution anywhere.
Any help would be appreciated.
anything i can do? would a factory reset help and a full reinstall?

It might but to be honest I have never seen a stock rom that is not buggier then any custom rom i have run. What you could try is start from scratch and see if the prob happens on an out of the box set up. If it does then it is an issue with the rom, if not then install your apps one by one to see if one of them is covering it. My advice? Grab one of the custom roms build from the Rogers 2.2 update like Cog or Firefly.
Try uninstalling juice defender.
I had the same problem with notification panel not sliding down after installing juice defender. I uninstalled it and the problem went away.
Did you solve the problem with the notification dropdown? Was it Juice Defender? I am experiencing the same issue.
I have problem number 2 too. No juice defender or any power saving tool or what not running in the background. Happens only once in a while although so its not killing me
Same problem here. I can't pin it to a specific program. But I think it has something to do with a certain notification because it always does it when I download a program or install a new program.
I've experienced both but after OCLF (which requires root) the notification bar issue doesn't happen. I've recently moved on to a stock kernel injected with voodoo lagfix (courtesy of supercurio) after having tried speedmod which gave me horrible battery life.
My battery life is good enough that I just leave wifi on all the time to avoid issue #1. When the wifi issue happened, going to airplane mode and back would fix it too without a full reboot.
k the best thing to do in your situation as people new to xda is if you are unrooted and want to stay that way go into the rogers store and say your touchscreen is buggy which to me seems like the issue you are having. also if your on the stock rogers 2.2 as i was for a coupple months all i can tell you is that its super buggy (as you could probobly tell from that terror they called an install). if your confident and want to get your feet wet with a great custom rom i would go with firefly that should fix any issues you have its a fuly stable final release and best part its based on rogers software not at&t so it will work flawlessly with the network and most likley fix any problems you are having
Don't use 100% pure stock
Use tweaked - with EXT4 LagFix, OC/UV, Sideloading enabled, rooted, VoodooSound, with GPS fixes.
Older Cognition 3.4 was Rogers based - I can recommend that.
So I just flashed the Android Revolution HD 3.6.5 ROM for the HTC Sensation and everything's working great except for the lockscreen. For some reason, it won't show any shortcuts or the big clock I keep in the middle. I didn't flash the recommended radio but I doubt that has much to do with it. Any suggestions?
First let's start off by asking if you superwiped before flashing?
Yeah I ran the Super Wipe script and everything went perfectly. Everything's fine except for the lockscreen and now the battery life. The battery drains really quickly even when I'm not doing anything. Should I just wait for an update and see if that fixes things?

Hi,
Update is now available.
It should fix both of your problems.
Well I just upgraded to 3.6.7 and I still have to see if battery life improves but the lockscreen is still not working. I don't want to update to Sense 3.5 because I don't like the look of it and 3.0 is smooth enough.
Well now that I've gone a full day with it, the battery is significantly better but the lockscreen is still not working as it should. Could this be because of the kernel or something?
Did you restore with Titanium Backup after flashing the rom?
And if the answer is yes: what did you restore? user apps / system apps / system data?
Yes I restored all of those.
Well I just super wiped everything again and it seems like it fixed the problem. I can see everything on my lockscreen again. Thanks everyone!
I am experiencing hangs of my Nexus One every time I put it in my desktop dock. Does anyone of you have similar problem? It hangs after couple of hours - only pulling out the battery helps - this happens both with stock ROM same as with latest stable Cyanogen - any ideas how to find a cause? I was trying a factory reset with no additional apps with no result...
Anyone of you is able to reproduce this? Does anyone here also have Nexus One Desktop Dock?

I've been using the dock since day 1 and never had that problem. So you say you have the same issue on different ROMs/Kernals, with Data wiped, Factory resets.. and you still have the problem? Have you tried other clock apps?
With software ruled out it could only be hardware, right?
It is definitely strange, I have the desktop dock and I used many ROMS, never had that problem.
I do not think the problem is caused by the ROM.
no problem like you,But when i flash MeDroidMOD Remix 1.3 ics 4.0.3, my nexus does not go into the clock application when placed on the desktop dock for charging. and It is all right when i flash MeDroid 4.0.3 CM9 V6.1. any one like me
I think it must be rom bug

I have never had an issue with the phone hanging when placed into the dock. As for the desk clock not launching with the MeDroidMod 1.3.1 ROM installed, yes this is a ROM bug. This worked fine with MeDroid 6.1.
Hi,
I am having a problem with the GSS widget in so far that if I install a new JB ROM it never appears in the widget list. However once I install Titanium, I can find it in there and defrost. But, if I reboot (or battery runs out of juice before getting it charged) it then reverts back to being off the widget list.
Has anyone else had this problem? Im currently running AOKP Kang but it has also done the same on Jelly Belly. Anyone got any ideas as to why its doing this and a fix if at all?
After about 4 months of being rock solid, my Transformer has started acting up this past week. After about a day of use, the homescreen will freeze up, stop responding to touch, and then have to be force-closed. After Launcher restarts, it will immediately crash again. During this crash cycle, I am unable to launch any new apps - however, I can switch between my already open apps using the "Recent Apps" button, no problem - they will even run perfectly for hours. But to launch new apps, I have to reboot. (NOTE: this is different than the well-known issue where the homescreen icons disappear, but swiping/touching still works. In my case, the icons and widgets are just "stuck" there.)
Things I have tried: Cold boot, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, change to static wallpaper. (problem still recurs)
I am using the same ROM/kernel/OC/UV settings that I always have (1.2 GHz, -25 mV on all).
I'm stumped. Anyone else see this?
I have the same kind of issue since 3 days ago. Launcher crashing, no icons on desktop but can switch between empty desktop. "Recent Apps" available. Cold reboot helps but problem will recurs. Stock Asus ROM, Android 4.0.3, kernel 2.6.39.4.
Hi slybin, yours is actually the more common issue - disappearing icons, but swipe/touch works. Mine is the opposite - the icons are visible, but swipe/touch does NOT work.
I'm guessing you are on stock kernel? Disappearing icons is fixed with Guevor's kernel, or possibly others.
Im on team eos JB and never faced any of the issues you mentioned above.. try flashing a different ROM after wiping everything...
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda app-developers app
zAlbee: Yes, I'm on a stock kernel. I just find it strange that it suddenly started Monday without any new kernel update from Asus.
udupa82: I saw that EOS is developed on the Xoom, did you had any other issue with that ROM? Which build did you use?
