Hi, is there any way to launch another app within my app?
if can, how to navigate back?
Thanks.
I don't think you can - though I'd be interested to hear differently. AFAIK you can only launch certain system apps (such as Marketplace and the video player).

Hi
Does any one know an app that you can deploy apps with?
i mean some sort of app that "connected" to several mobile phone and you can deploy your app (app) by remote?
something like the market from the web but with apps that haven't been approved yet (that's why i want to test with many phones)
Thanks!

Hello xda users/experts, one quick question:
I noticed after upgrading to ICS, the new Voice Search 3.0.1 app doesn't show up in the app drawer anymore, which is a problem since I use headphone commands to make calls (through JAYs Headphone Button app), and the app only recognizes and activates other apps that show up in the app drawer.
What I need to know is, is there a way to get Voice Search 3 to show up in the app drawer? Do I need to modify its .apk? And if so, how should I go about doing that?
Full disclosure, for people that are suffering the same fate, I have found a temporary solution by uninstalling voice search with titanium, and installing voice search 2.X from the market. I would much rather have a more elegant solution though .
Hello, is there a app for android that can make certain apps uncloseable?
The thing is, I need a app, that will not allow a certain app to close without entering a password to close it, is that possible, and if it is, is there a app like that around?
Hello,
I'm interested in getting this coded but would first like to know if the idea is even possible and if so if it will require root or not.
Basically I'd need an app that would be able to communicate with a website running WHMCS. The person would have an account there and login through the app. The app would then scrape login information in this format usernameassword and then somehow interact with Netflix, Hulu or Sling (maybe editing there system files?).
That's basically the idea, you'd open the app, press a button, lets say for Netflix, once you press the button it would edit the login files and then launch the app in question, in this instance it'd be Netflix.
So, is it possible for a 3rd party app to be able to edit login files of other apps and then launch said app? And if so would it require root access?
Anyone here use Phone app by Google instead of Samsung's Phone app?

I'm not sure what you're trying to get at as there isn't much information in your question, but I will try to help where I can.
If I assume you simply want to REPLACE the default phone dialer, I have a Samsung where I NEVER use the default Google apps and it works just fine WITHOUT those Google apps (I've disabled most of them).
As for the phone app, it gets confusing what people "mean" as things changed since Android 10 in terms of separation of the parts that people often mix together.
Specifically, in later Androids, AFAIK, there is a "Dialer" and a separate "Contacts" app (yet which often are combined) and there is even the concept that the "SMS/MMS" messaging app also can often dial out and use the contacts - but there is no longer a default "Dialer" as of Android 10 (AFAIK).
Me?
I don't keep a contacts file (for privacy reasons) in the default sqlite location (because Google/Facebook/Microsoft/etc. motherships upload that database, that's why!) so I use only {dialer,contacts,sms/mms} apps which can work both with and WITHOUT a default contacts sqlite database).
Note that Simple Mobile Tools has a lot of related privacy-aware free useful apps which don't necessarily need the default sqlite contacts database, which is a boon to your privacy (if you care about such things).
Here is a screenshot of what I use in my dock for phone apps on my Samsung, none of which are the default apps by Samsung or Google.
Thank you for your reply. I am actually looking for a way to record phone calls on phone. Phone by Google is the app I was referring to, as you may know it has a call recorder and I was wondering if anyone were able to enable it on their A32 5G.
There's a lot of information about call recording for this phone in this Galaxy A32 5G thread over here...
Anyone know a working call recorder app for this phone?
There's also a generic thread about call recording issues after May 11th when Google made their most recent changes over here...
Is there any way to get 3rd-party call recording (ACR) apps working after tomorrow, May 11th, 2022?
If you're rooted, you probably have more options though.
