I'm interested in getting this coded but would first like to know if the idea is even possible and if so if it will require root or not.
Basically I'd need an app that would be able to communicate with a website running WHMCS. The person would have an account there and login through the app. The app would then scrape login information in this format usernameassword and then somehow interact with Netflix, Hulu or Sling (maybe editing there system files?).
That's basically the idea, you'd open the app, press a button, lets say for Netflix, once you press the button it would edit the login files and then launch the app in question, in this instance it'd be Netflix.
So, is it possible for a 3rd party app to be able to edit login files of other apps and then launch said app? And if so would it require root access?

Okay on my Rezound running an ICS leak, in the setting section under Apps there is a setting called App Associations.
And in this setting there is something called Web URLS, that lets you set the intent of clicking on web URLS to your browser of choice. Now this setting has the browsers that are installed as choices. But the major problem is that this setting now opens all YouTube links and Play store links with the browser, not the YouTube app or Play Store and doesn't give a choice in the matter.
My question is that is this limited to the Rezound? I don't have these setting choices on my Xoom, but that is running 4.0.0 and I haven't updated it in a while.
Also, how do I get the app to open links? Reseting the default in the app setting for the browser doesn't do anything, it seems as though App Associations takes over for that.
Anybody?

I don't know the specifics of your phone, but you might try a trick I've used with other apps on other phones (okay, with one app on one phone).
Start off by configuring it to use the youtube player (or whatever site-specific app you want) for web url's. Then launch a link that's not supported by youtube. If you're lucky, it'll come up with a prompt saying 'that's not supported, what app do you want to use instead?'. At that prompt, you'd select the app you want to use for non youtube pages.
Disclaimer: I'm a noob myself with smartphones/tablets, so all of my advice is nothing more than logic-guided guesswork.

This is for a learning tab that uses in academy. This app makes that we can download apps, but these apps are gone because this app intercepted downloaded apps. In addition, this app intercept apps that app was in tab. Like internent, chrome, maps, google+, youtube and so on. And it makes that we can't use another aps in class. So this was a describing this app. I want that first, we can download apps and we can use it for permanent. Secondly, I can use another apps in class. Thirdly, we unlock apps that was blocked. Finally, this was a very hard for me. This three apps has administrator rights. If we want to release it, this tab is restarting. This app is asssociated with chungdahm learning. I want you to we can use another apps for permanent, next, use another apps in class, thirdly, I want to unlock apps that blocked. Finally, to release administrator rights. I will link it for Dropbox. It has cdi launcher 2.4.20, cdi guardian 2.2.9

There are reasons that your academy blocks these apps.
I do not believe you will find help here on XDA in order to bypass these restrictions.

Contrary to the popular belief, XDA is not a site that will help you to "hack" into anything. If certain apps are blocked at your college, it will be for a reason.
I am sorry, you will have to look else where.

I want to download and install the IP Webcam app from the Play store. Even though it has over 5 million installs, how would I be able to tell that it wasn't doing something malicious like allowing backdoor entry to my network or transmitting snapshots back to the developer or someone else? If I want to use it as a security camera...how can I be sure that it is not doing something behind the scenes?
there was a recent update to one of my games. legend of pirates. the developer sucks every time there is an update some stuff goes missing or there are some major malfunctions. currently everyone that is logged into facebook as their username and password are able to access their account. but if they delete the game and reinstall it, switch to a nutsplay login, google+ login, or delete their cache/data from the settings tab. they will not be able to login to the game using facebook. usually it takes over a month for problems like this to get fixed, so I am asking for help here to see who can help me through the process. I have an android emulator on my laptop and the game is logged into facebook. there is very limited apps downloaded in it so there are not many files associated with the emulator. I have been able to successfully transfer the apk file of the game and also the 98mb extraction file that initially takes place when the game is loaded for the first time. but none of this has the prestored Facebook login. I have cloned the memu instance and opened the cloned version and when I clicked the legend of Pirates application, it was stored with Facebook details and I was able to access my account that way. but I wish to clone it to my phone, or transfer files to specific pathways . I am having some troubles and seek advice. I know this is my first actual post, but that's because I search for my answers and almost always find the exact answer im looking for. please do not think this is some sort of trolling or whatever people call it. I have used xda forums for some good helpful information like the data toggle switch gone missing and how to get that icon back in the quick bar or whatever it is call at the top of your phone. thanks for anyone who knows anything about memu and how to provide me some enlightenment into this issue.
